When I lifted my side desk to put my water down, it was knocking into the desk of the person next to me. My gel deluxe pedicure was well done, she pays a lot of attention to detail and took great care of my feet. As my feet sat in paraffin wax, Tuan removed my previous dip set and put on and shaped my tips. She executed the ombré look I wanted perfectly with dip and gave me signature coffin shape I wanted! Well, we noticed again, that the colors didn't match. She ended up having to find a different color that closely matched and used it to paint OVER the color on my toenails that she'd already painted on. I didn't like this particular encounter because she rushed through my service, especially once the color, AGAIN, didn't match. Nails are straight and there's still a difference in shades between my nails and toenails. I wished he had gotten a tech with more patience and more concern to take care of me, especially after having the experience I had beforehand. I'd never experienced this in like 17 years and I've been all over, to include overseas. I had high hopes after speaking with the owner but I guess the tech didn't share his enthusiasm to make things right. Original Review: Went in and asked for a regular mani/pedi. The whole time I was getting my pedicure, the tech was trying to upsell the gel manicure. She said, the regular polish would chip and they have the color match in gel. While my feet soaked, the techs worked on the other clients. For entertainment, a TV in the corner played The Price is Right and there were several gossip mags available for perusing (although they were old). I had to wait a little, but normal for most pedicures. I didn't mind the wait at all because the techs seemed very aware of all the clients and where they were at in terms of what needed to be done. Though it was my first time, the staff was friendly and I could tell most of the clients were regulars. I hadn't gotten a pedi in a long time, and my feet were kinda rough, but not one remark about it from the techs; they just treated my feet right. We first washed our hands in the back, then were guided to side-by-side pedi chairs with beautiful iridescent water bowls. The chairs were comfortable, and featured position adjustment and massage functions. Immediately, we were greeted by Jewel, who offered us complimentary drinks. We each accepted a "pink lady," kind of a mimosa, but with a splash of grapefruit juice instead of O.J.. My nail tech was Tweety, and she was warm and friendly throughout. We ordered the "Opulent Pedicures," the offering between basic and the "Decadent Pedicure." It came with warm foot soak, nail bed care, scented water and lotions (I chose green tea), massage of feet and calves, sugar scrub, warm oil and lotion moisturizing, and hot towel wraps **sigh**. After we were feeling nice and pampered, our nail techs got down to the painting, and delivered efficient, clean and beautiful results. I love sparkly toes, so I chose color 145. My friend chose a darker sparkly color, 170 (both solid choices!). We also opted for gels. Jewel came around again to refresh our drinks, and I had a nice Sauvignon Blanc. I couldn't stayed there all day enjoying the atmosphere and sipping wine. At checkout, I was not shocked at all by the price for the high quality pedis with gel paint.
