My partner falls into the first category, and was like a kid in a candy store when we first walked in. We shared a zucchini quiche, and while neither of us are typically super into quiches, we both found it to be absolutely delicious. The crust was thin and flaky and perfect, and the flavors perfectly balanced. I also had the vanilla eclair and it was delightful. The pastry was so light and fluffy, and the filling not too sweet and wonderfully creamy and vanilla-y. My partner had a slice of the couronne de reines--essentially a cake with orange peels, ginger bits, and cherries. He found it to be absolutely incredible. I should have done my research beforehand. I was confused by the visible lack of any viennoiseries on display. (I was planning on having a croissant and a hot drink for my breakfast there) They didn't have any croissant, so after some hesitation, I picked what looked like a savoury bread, which had the name of the establishment. I assumed it was their signature stuff. The bread tasted stale and weird. I also had a banana bread, which was on the stodgier side. I was disappointed. And only when I looked up this bakery's name afterward, did I learn this is some kind of gluten-free themed bakery. On a flip side, the seating area is spacious and very comfortable.
