The owner of this salon, Joyce, is amazing! I had been going to her for years to do laser on my lower face and neck. My skin transformed and i didn't have to wear as much make up because my black spots/ acne scars had become very light! She is very talented and takes pride in what she does. She is the only one that does the laser treatments, so her prices do reflect that but it's still very reasonable. I would highly recommend her for people of color. Everyone that i recommend to her has also seen amazing results. Lastly, the salon is very clean, quiet and welcoming. read more

Joyce is still one of the best and kindest laser services in the city. Her laser hair removal works. She is a beautiful and kind human. The space is very cute and conveniently located. Thank you for taking great care of me! read more

With every session there has been an issue from her running late to me being left in the room alone for ages waiting for treatment to start after getting undressed. Very often, during the grimer days of the pandemic, she would not even be at her space yet, so I was forced to wander around outside with nowhere to go and nothing to do with everywhere in NYC utterly shut down as I waited for her to arrive. Today was my last treatment but the final straw. I showed up on time and she was still in a session. Then I realized the other woman in the waiting area was also waiting for a session and was scheduled before me. When Joyce came out, she acted like waiting was fine. Does she not understand the value of time? I run a small business. I lose money waiting 45 minutes to an hour. I have appointments later in the day. I have a schedule, a life. I've had to move multiple appointments due to her chronic lateness on more than one occasion. Today she tried to blame running late on a "death in the family" but she is *always always always* late. That was a real cheap shot using a family member's death to condone her consistent unprofessional behavior. She'll try and get you to feel sorry for her having to pay for her daughter's Manhattan apartment, etc. Very manipulative. I SWEAR TO GOD that hours of my life have been wasted waiting on this woman. She is way cheaper than Laser Away and other places but you get what you pay for. Guaranteed she will be running late. She also marks you up with white pencil to navigate her machine but never completely cleans you off so you wind up with white stuff all over. Very unprofessional. Does the job when she is at it, though. read more

Joyce is the best! Been going to her for years for laser hair removal (with years between touch ups since she does such a good job). A session with Joyce is more like visiting an old friend than getting a treatment. Professional results with a personal vibe. She does fantastic work for a very reasonable price. I won't go anywhere else. read more

Love this place cannot say enough good things, truly life changing ... has boosted my self esteem especially as I like to say I'm half ape ... but it's great and I highly recommend. read more

I absolutely love coming here! Joyce is always so welcoming and accommodating! I've been coming here for some years now & Joyce is gentle and professional! I can see real changes in the growth of my hair (little to no growth in new areas we just started). I never feel crammed coming here, everything is spacious and clean! I highly recommend Joyce and her laser hair removal services! read more

I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR THIS PLACE! Joyce is a TRUE PROFESSIONAL!! I have dark skin and she has always taken absolute precautions with the best machines. Hair no more (except where I want it lol) Love her - and love love laser. I come all the way from NJ to see her when I am on the East Coast. read more

I can't even begin to express how happy I am with my results from Love Laser! It's now been over 6 months and I am virtually hair free! Joyce is amazing and clearly knows what she's doing. At this point I'm going in for some tiny areas where I still have a few hairs but I can for the most part go without shaving and there's no hair! ! For anyone who's contemplating getting laser hair removal I would definitely recommend it. Make sure that you find a person who knows what they're doing. Before Joyce I spent a considerable amount of money on laser hair removal and was not happy with the unimpressive results. Who wants to spend time and money getting laser treatments and still be hairy? Love laser has a beautiful and convenient location but more importantly Joyce will get you results! read more

If you are in a need to get laser work done, this is the place to go! Don't walk, run to Joyce :) She is the sweetest person I have ever met, very knowledgeable and honest. You can't get this combo anywhere else for sure! I have found not only a great professional, but also an amazing friend. Her rates are very reasonable, the place is very chic and comfy, location is to kill for. Go to Joyce and don't even look back! Love you, Joyce :) read more

I have been to a lot of different Laser spots and have never been overwhelmed with the results. Because of that, I tend to buy promo packages hoping that the next spot will give me better results. Enter Joyce. I don't know if its her skill or the machine she uses (probably a combination of both) but I saw results from the first session and consistently with my follow up session. Furthermore, she is really down to earth and easy to talk to. Joyce is a one woman shop which I really like. There is nothing clinical or cold about the experience. read more

Whenever I'm in town, I schedule an appointment at Love Laser for laser spa services. Joyce is a doll! I know I am receiving the very best care and attention from a licensed professional. It is a great experience. Thank you,, Joyce! read more

Joyce is so nice and funny! It was my first time doing underarms. $40. It wasn't entirely pain-free. It felt like little pinches, but it was bearable. Hair has grown minimally over a couple weeks but fell out on its own. Still a little sensitive, but I think it's getting better overall. Not as expensive as other places I've researched, but Joyce does quality work. Definitely recommend! read more

I chose Love Laser based off previous reviews. And boy are they spot on. Last night I had my appointment with Joyce. It was my first time meeting her and she is such a sweetheart and very personable. She talked me through the process for the hair removal (on my face) and made me feel comfortable. I'm pretty sensitive to any type of pain so the laser definitely caught me off guard a bit. But Joyce made sure not to increase the level and kept chatting with me through the quick process. And to note, I am African American and she treated my skin with great care! So if you are looking for do laser hair removal, I highly suggest reaching out to Joyce. Even then so, her prices are very reasonable compared to other locations. I need to give my face some time to see the results this laser treatment but still pretty excited for the next treatment! I'll be sure to update my review after a couple of treatments! read more

Joyce is the best!! I couldn't be happier with the results. She is so sweet and makes you feel comfortable every step of the way. It's also super painless and quick. I've been to other laser places and this has been by far the best. A hidden gem everyone needs to try!! read more

I have always wanted to get laser, but never knew where to go because I wanted to make sure I went to the best place. Look no further, that is Love Laser. I couldn't be happier that I found Love Laser and Joyce- her professionalism, attention to detail, and comforting manners make this process so smooth and almost painless. She is definitely the best out there! I have complete trust in Joyce, as she beautifully lasered most of my body, and only after 2 sessions I am seeing amazing results and can't wait to continue with my sessions! I can say I am so happy with her work and I never knew how much I would love being hair free and not having to worry about shaving or waxing my Italian hair away. Joyce is top notch and I highly recommend her and her services to ANYONE who is thinking about doing laser. I assure you this will be one of the best decisions you make for yourself - especially if you choose Joyce and Love Laser! read more

I went into this expecting it to be very painful and expensive from what I've heard from friends who have gotten laser hair removal done before. I was still willing to do it for the sake of not having to shave every week, but I wasn't excited for it. I can happily say that this place met NONE of my expectations. Joyce was so sweet and kind and really helped us to feel calm beforehand. The procedure only lasted a few min and barely hurt at all, definitely nowhere near the pain of waxing or threading. And the pricing was VERY reasonable. Afterwards she gave us detailed instruction on how to make sure we got the most out of the procedure. We will definitely be coming back to her for all of our future appointments read more

Just had my first ever laser appt with Joyce after years of getting waxed! I had an awesome experience, Joyce was super friendly and very easy to contact and schedule with. She made me feel very comfortable with the whole process! The facilities were very neat and clean which was nice :) I went for a full brazilian laser as I had been getting waxed for years and wanted something more permanent. The treatment took literally like 5 minutes total, wow. And compared to waxing, the pain level was MUCH better! I do have a fairly decent pain tolerance but waxing is painful, and laser is a walk in the park in comparison. Some areas do sting (feels like getting snapped by a rubber band) but for the majority I honestly could not even tell when the laser was being applied. The cooling air really helps a lot! Also the pain does not carry over past the moment the laser is applied, which was great. You are supposed to shave the area the day before the treatment and then about two weeks after, should start seeing the hairs shed by themselves. I am super excited for this lol. I cannot wait until I am free from those pesky hairs!! Price wise, Joyce was definitely one of the most reasonably priced practitioners, and at least compared to waxing I think it is definitely cheaper in the long run. I used to pay about $40 per waxing session once per every 4-6 weeks, which over the years definitely adds up!! Laser treatments are about 6 weeks apart for about 4 sessions total, so more upfront but with more permanent results of course. Overall, had an amazing experience and looking forward to the results!! Thanks Joyce!! read more

I have had laser performed at a few different places before going to Love Laser, but my experience with Joyce at Love Laser was the best! Good laser results depend on two major factors: The right machine, and a good technician. Love Laser delivers both in spades. First, the best tech can't do you any good with the wrong equipment. Many spas are selling expensive laser packages with really cheap equipment. The average IPL laser machine is cheap enough to buy for home use, and is relatively ineffective. A new CynoSure (or GentleLase) ALEXANDRITE machine costs $100,000+. If you want results, ask what kind of machine they have. Joyce has a CynoSure, and the results are phenomenal. As for Joyce, she is the most professional, sweet and considerate person you could imagine...someone you would enjoy chatting with just on a personal level. Her schedule was very accommodating, and she was meticulous and thorough in covering the areas we agreed to treat. She was generous with her treatment areas, and very reasonable in her pricing, especially considering the quality of her laser machine. I am very pleased with the results, and highly recommend her! read more

Joyce is so wonderful! I get a full Brazilian and underarms. You know how awkward it is to show your intimate parts to a stranger? Well, not anymore. She's such a pro at what she does, works quick and knows what she's doing and it really works. I have been already 5 times and can't wait to find other places for her to laser!! read more

Joyce is amazing. She is patient, kind, flexible and, more importantly, soothing when you're nervous about getting the goods lasered. I have to say, for as scary as I initially thought it was going to be, Joyce put all my nerves at ease. She reminds me for my appointments prior to coming in (which is so helpful considering my phone broke with all my appointments in it!). She know's the importance of distraction when she's working on you, and she really keeps good tabs on what you've said in previous appointments. I have to say, as corny as it is, every time I'm there, I feel like I'm visiting a friend... who else can say that???? Do yourself a favor. Book with Love Laser. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. read more

I've been getting a Brazilian laser treatment here for the past few months (only had 2 treatments done so far) and I have to say that it is seriously the best personal care treatment that I've ever done for myself. I used to wax every 3 weeks but the hair would grow back within a week so I couldn't really enjoy it for long. The laser treatment is amazing because my hair now takes longer to grow back ( about 2 1/2 - 3 weeks with barely any hair down there). Definitely noticeable results for me and it's only my third time going back for another laser treatment. Another good thing to add is that the whole process only takes a few minutes (maybe 10 min or less), which makes the whole ordeal a lot more tolerable than waxing. read more

Excellent service. Joyce is wonderful - very professional, efficient and excellent at what she does. I highly recommend this salon.

I visited Love Laser a few months ago after consulting my BFF, Yelp, for good laser spas in Midtown West. Joyce is the best; she's knowledgeable, patient and meticulous and I always enjoy chatting with her. Also, she's always very accommodating with appointment changes and the services are reasonably priced. I've had three treatments so far and I definitely see results. NOTE: She's now in Suite C on the second floor of the same building. If you go up the stairs, you will see her suite. read more

Joyce is by far the best laser treatment there is in New York period. She is highly skilled and knowledgeable about laser and her products. She also very nurturing, warm, caring, flexible with scheduling, and patient. She knows how to take your mind off of the slight discomfort while giving you a Brazilian by engaging in conversation. Joyce is the sweetest soul I've ever met and I'm so happy I found this place. I have been going to Joyce for almost two years now and will remain a loyal customer. THANK YOU ALWAYS JOYCE. read more

I have had lots of laser treatments, this was by far the worst treatment ever. She rushed through the entire treatment in few minutes, missed lots of spots. When she told me you are done I couldn't believe my ears, I had just sat done. Guess what another customer had just walked in. So I got a lousy rush job and paid a pretty penny for it. I walked out of there feeling so disappointed, I felt I was rubbed. Now my hair has grown out on one side and not the other. I had gone there for I saw positive reviews, I dont get it. read more

THE REVIEWS DON'T LIE!!! The hype is very much real, y'all. I went to Joyce at Love Laser after many rounds at another hair laser removal center left me with hair that would always inevitably grow back. I was disappointed that even after spending exorbitant amounts of money and hearing the success stories of other hairless women, my Brazilian laser treatment never left me completely smooth. I found Joyce on Yelp to give hair laser removal one more shot and am absolutely thrilled. She is so kind and enthusiastic about her job. I told her about my past experiences with laser and she informed me that I was likely not getting optimal results because the laser settings were not turned high enough. I was skeptical but went along with her recommendation to use a much higher and stronger setting. I never found laser to be painful in the past but I could feel the difference with Joyce. It was significantly more painful but luckily she was super fast and it was done in under 3 minutes (full Brazilian). Fingers crossed, but it's been several weeks later and not a single hair has grown back!!! Amazing. She was definitely right. The laser place I was going before never gave me the best results because they never cranked their machine up! Go with Joyce. Her prices are reasonable and her scheduling is flexible. Her personality really takes the cake though. She exudes the best positive energy and is a total sweetheart. Truly a gem. I highly recommend her! read more

Joyce was seriously a saviour when my old, totally ineffective laser place shut down unexpectedly, taking the money of all its clients that had paid for packages with it! It was such a relief to find a technician who has the laser equipment and, most importantly, the technique, to get lasting results! She is also a genuine pleasure to deal with and honest through-and-through with her business. read more

This is by far the best laser hair removal experience you can find in NYC. Extremely pretty, clean, and relaxed atmosphere. Joyce, the laser technician, is the BEST! This is by far the best place I have ever been to for laser. Considering I've literally been to a dozen different places, that is saying something! It took a week and for someone else to cancel for me to get an appointment, but Joyce was nice enough to text me as soon as she had an opening. The place was pretty easy to find and close to the subway. Joyce had just moved into her new space, so things were, understandably, a bit disorganized at first, but the hair removal procedure itself was great. Joyce was really friendly. She gave me some good advice on how to keep the hair from coming back quickly. She even offered to zap any stray hairs in between sessions for free. I think the best part was that Joyce really made me feel comfortable - she cares about her customers! I love, love, love that she uses cold air while she zaps, which makes the treatment so much less painful! Besides all that, the price cannot be beat - way cheaper than I've been paying over the years. I'm really thinking about doing another body part, because why not? read more

I was skeptical, after having been burned (literally) at BioSkinLaser. I feared Love would be another long process with excuses and subpar work. I was so wrong. Joyce is the real deal! As a transgender woman, laser is obviously important, and working with Joyce has been nothing short of magical. She's concerned for her clients, takes care of them, uses a state of the art machine, and works with you to make sure you get the results you want. I can go on and on, but, just give her a call and book an appointment already. This woman is a life saver! read more

I just finished my fourth session with Joyce for Brazilian laser. Finally getting around to leaving a review! About Joyce: She's friendly, accommodating, down to earth and a genuinely sweet person! She makes the process as comfortable as it can be for what she's doing lol She truly cares about your results! She's meticulous and thorough in her work and really wants to make sure you never have to shave again! About the results: I had three sessions at another salon and four here. I saw the best results after the treatments with Joyce. I came in for a fourth touch up session where she made sure to get every area. If it's possible she'll do the highest setting possible to make sure you'll have permanent results. Needless to say I HIGHLY recommend love laser! Most places don't care about your results but here it's top priority to make sure you'll never have to pick up a razor again! So happy with my results for Brazilian I will soon be starting my legs to be on the way to totally hair free! read more
