So I didn't mind the wait. The total came out to be $12.50, which isn't too bad. There is limited seating inside, but a good amount outside! This is the perfect place to go to get work done, hang out with people, or to get dessert after eating next door. Sheila's is one of the best places to go to, and let's just say they ran out of a good amount of pastries (that shows you how actually good their pastries are)!!!!

While traveling I always visit a local bakery for some morning sweetness. I checked out a few reviews and took a chance. This was indeed the place to be on a early Saturday morning! They had a line upon my arrival, but everyone was professional and timely. They have a little bit of everything, it was overload for me, how can I choose just a few things, Lol! Not only was the food good and fresh, but the presentation was everything for me. Tip: go early for first dibs. If you have time, sit and people watch... I will definitely be returning in the near future.

Holy moly. TOP TIER DONUTS. I saw from other reviews that you should get there early to get stuff…read morebecause they run out fast, so I got there at 6am and thank god I did. Literally some of the best donuts i've everrrrr had. Worker was very sweet and explained to me that they filled the donuts to order, so I could get whatever I wanted. Yess!!! Also very cute interior (loved the decorations). You need to try these!!! You'll never regret it..

On a road trip that is NOT going according to plan. Yesterday the car died and this morning the…read morehotel lost power. We needed breakfast, so we walked to the Belair Donuts near the hotel. Where we learned that the whole block was out of power, but they still had their donuts and all... I'm not proud, and my pancreas may never forgive me, but I regret nothing. I was thinking that a donut would be nice. And then I saw the maple bacon twist, so I ordered it. And then my Bride asked "is that an apple fritter?" and the nice young lady behind the counter said "yes, and we also have PEACH!" So we ordered one of those. And then she pointed out the pistachio donut, so I *had* to order that. And then my Bride saw the crème brûlée donut and that completed the order. We paid in cash- I got complimented on my old school coin purse- and repaired to the picnic table outside, where we split each of our treasures in half. And then we ate them all, like the feral little goblins we are. The pistachio donut was not particularly pistachio-y, but was a good frosted donut and had adorable autumn-themed sprinkles on it. The peach fritter was delicious- exactly what I imagined it would taste like. The maple bacon twist was a textbook example of the style, and could only have been improved by putting the maple and bacon toppings on an eclair instead of a cake. (Hint, hint.) The star of the meal was the crème brûlée donut. One of the young ladies piped it full of cream right before she packed it, so it didn't have time to get soggy. Epic donut filled with delicious cream- not some custard goo - and topped with a burnt sugar crust. I will never come back to Augusta without going back to Belair Donuts, and will honestly consider making any trip south from Virginia pass through here just to stop and get another one of those. And as we finished our feast, the lights came back on. Never underestimate the power of great donuts! Literally the best $11.88 (tax included) we've spent this month. (Military discount is available from this veteran-owned business.) We're looking forward to going back tomorrow to see how the kolaches and breakfast burritos are! And to see if they have any more crème brûlée donuts... Edited to add: Breakfast today was sausage, egg and cheese burritos in jalapeño wraps, and we split a cheese kolache and a crème brûlée donut with pumpkin cream cheese filling (small upcharge). Which is actually pumpkin and cream cheese, not just pumpkin spice flavored. 10/10, no notes. The kolache reminds me of my babcia's cooking, and the burritos were plump, hot, and delicious. $17.46 for the whole thing! Tomorrow morning we'll get the bacon egg and cheese, just to round out the collection. Final edit. Bacon egg and cheese burritos were delicious, but I honestly think I liked the overall flavour of the sausage one better. The cream cheese puff (we added the pumpkin cream cheese filling to this one, too!) was remarkable! It has cream cheese in the end opposite the filling hole, so if you're sharing like we did, cut it lengthwise. Which we did! (The little donut voice in my head ftw!) Looking forward to going home, so our next visit comes that much sooner!

Support your local vendors!!!!…read more Definitely one of the local favorite donut shops in Augusta or Fort Gordon/Eisenhower, GA area. Very close to the post. They have 2 location in the Augusta or Grovetown area you can choose from. Both locations open up at 05:30 on the dot. Both locations (Robinson Ave & Belair Rd) have fantastic service. Belair Rd has an actual drive thru that you can order from versus the Grovetown area which doesn't. Either way service is fast. When I want to treat my coworkers or students, I put in an order of their assorted donuts. Getting a dozen of these is always a favorite for the office to munch/chomp on. The flavors are chocolate, blueberry, red velvet, and original batter in the dozen. **Recommendation** If you are ordering more than a dozen, as I have done in the past a few times (5 dozen), please call the day before and provide the time you will pick up the donuts. It makes it easier for them to be prepared for your arrival with your order, and provide it to you nice and hot/warm to serve as soon as you get to work. If you don't, you can still come in and clean house on what they do have, just would be a little courteous for you to give a heads up. Definitely recommend both Belair locations in the Augusta and Grovetown area.

I was fairly cautioned that it was not a full serve restaurant; but, they did serve breakfast sandwitches (makes sense for college folks on the go). Being the old guy who thinks he's cool, contrary to what my kids tell me, I had check it out. The first thing that struck me was the "take out only" sign on the door (they also have a drive through) which was fine with me; because heck, that's what breakfast sandwitches are for, right? The menu boasted of what you would expect: egg, cheese and your choice of breakfast meat ( or the combination, plus or minus, thereof) on a biscut. You have to know I went sausage, egg and cheese. Now to start, the biscut seemed more like a hamburger bun, oddly enough with the taste, and in fact, texture of a biscut. I really liked it; but, the jury is still out on what it actually was. In between were fresh whipped eggs (no runny yolk) dripping with cheese (reminiscent of melted Kraft singles) and a spicyer than average breakfast sausage. All in all, an interesting, and adequate meal for those on th go. Simply because the place is called Daylight Donuts, I decided to ignore the fact that my current physique is that of seven month pregnant woman, and try a donut...no wait, an apple fritter. After all, I could limit my intake to a few bites, just for research purposes. One whole fritter later, I'm here to tell you that each icing covered bite was joined by a bit of real apple, prompting me to check my fitbit to see if I was anywhere near my daily step goal. Clearly, this place is a local institution that has, in my view, earned the support it gets. The staff is fittingly cheerful and pleasant; and, the service is, appropriately, fast. My meal was less than five bucks, earning Daylight Donuts an additional star. So, skip the big name fast food joints, and grab your breakfast here.
