As we drove south through the Keys, I noted the bright teal and yellow facade of Islamorada Brewery…read moreand Distillery. I knew just where we needed to stop on the way back to our hotel. SPACE: Everything about the space just exudes the Keys life. In side there's a variety of seating including community tables for larger groups and both high top and low top seating. While we were seeking air conditioning and a reprieve from the August heat, Islamorada Brewery and Distillery offers up a huge patio space with misting fans and lawn games galore. Neat! SERVICE: I'll start by saying that Islamorada Brewery and Distillery is a counter service joint. So when you're ready for a pour you want to belly up to the bar. The beertenders were super friendly and approachable. They made great suggestions and tempted me with their gram worthy flight. SIPS: We both opted for pour of the coconut lime blonde ale - No Wake Zone. It was light, crushable, and wonderfully tropical. In addition we also sipped on their coconut scooter vodka. Whoa! That could be dangerous - it was so smooth. SUSTENANCE: Islamorada Brewery and Distillery offers a up a decent assortment of curbside eats from their in-house (or would it be on-site) food truck! Yum! While we didn't order any eats, it's nice to have something on site. Islamorada Brewery and Distillery was just what my craft brew loving heart needed. I'd highly recommend checking them out when in The Keys. Cheers, Islamorada! **PRO TIP: Don't forget to grab a little something from their large merch inventory to remind you of your brewventure in The Keys!

Loved this place! When in Islamorada for a friend's destination wedding a bunch of the guys hit up…read morethe brewery which is also a distillery. Gotta love the chance to enjoy some local cold craft brews and boozy mixed drinks. Great atmosphere and staff. Tasty food, flavored shots, a variety of beer types. Bright and laid back spot which represents the area its in. Got to sample the beers first and also had some flights. Terrific outside beer garden seating area which is very Florida Keys style and vibe. We had a wonderful time here. If passing through on way to Key West its worth stopping by.

Hungry Tarpon Restaurant - We like to keep our quesadillas right where we can enjoy them... and that's at a waterfront table

The fish is delicious and it's a large sandwich with a big side of tots. The bar has fans to keep you cool. The service was excellent. I was there on a Tuesday and it was nice to enjoy a meal at the bar. There is a gift store and Robbie's tarpon feeding experience attached to the restaurant. Bathrooms are on the premises. There is plenty of parking available.

My wife and I stopped in for a quick dinner before a sunset cruise, and unfortunately it didn't live up to the experiences we've always had here. The conch fritters, which are usually a must-order for us, were mostly filler and lacked the flavor we've come to expect. The mahi tacos were equally disappointing, each taco had only a tiny piece of fish, the tortillas were stale and crumbly, and they were overloaded with salsa, causing them to fall apart. Our server was prompt and attentive, but the overall atmosphere felt rushed. We understand it's the middle of summer and the heat can make for long days, but one of the things we've always appreciated here was the warm, friendly hospitality. This time, that welcoming energy just wasn't there. It's disappointing to say, but this restaurant simply isn't what it used to be. I hope this was just an off day, because we'd love to see it return to the quality and experience that kept us coming back for so many years.
