Austin is an affordable city and lucky for people living here they have access to a discount store that sells quality merch. Daiso stores are clean, bright, and organized. It's definitely a step up from Dollar Tree. Free abundant parking in this strip mall as this city is car dependent. With comparison to the Daiso's in the Puget Sound region, this store is larger than the one in Southcenter Mall but smaller than the one in Federal Way. A good thing about shopping in TX is that sales tax is less here than WA.

Not sure it is a factor of getting older and wiser, but being the first the purchase a holiday trinket or buying something only because it is 75% off is no longer a draw for me. During normal times, to find Macy's representatives is difficult. However, during the holiday season it feels like there is 2-3 representatives on the entire floor. I did see not anything of interest to wait in a long, long line. So I aborted my after Christmas sale spree altogether. Since Macy's now has a Starbuck's I thought of getting some coffee.
