First of all, I'm a retired firefighter paramedic. I worked in a very busy urban city with many…read moremore hospitals and trauma centers then we have here in the desert. I am used to being seen quickly and getting an appointment with a doctor in a reasonable amount of time. I understand it is different here. I have used their emergency room once and was severely misdiagnosed. It turns out I actually had to have back surgery when they kept telling me I was basically making a big deal out of "nothing "and i'm sure they thought I was seeking pain meds. Imagine my surprise when I went to a doctor in the Los Angeles area and he told me what idiots they were in the emergency room. I was scheduled for back surgery right away. As you can see, I still haven't gotten over it lol .So never go to their emergency room. That being said ,the orthopedic center is completely different. I had no problem getting an appointment after my PMD sent a request for an orthopedic to see my knee. I was seen on time and everything was very professional. Dr.Diltz was great. I felt like a fool coming in for what I thought wasn't a big deal, but it turns out it could be. He never talked down to me, never made me feel like I didn't know what I was talking about like some doctors do. I have a follow up with him to review my MRI and I am looking forward to it. It's nice to have a Doctor Who listens to you and has some compassion. The only reason I dropped a star was NOT for the doctor. It was just the wait time. I had to wait about a month and a half to get an appointment with the doctor. I'm definitely not used to that, but like I said it's different here in the desert. I highly recommend Dr.Diltz. Also, their MRI staff in their orthopedic center is fabulous. So professional! saw me on time. They were great. Absolutely recommend

So here I am, 5 months later and finally seeing an orthopedic doctor about it. The office staff was extremely nice. However, when Dr. Pooyan came in the treatment room, with a couple students, the floor was his. Not much space in there for me, the patient. He would ask me a question, then interrupt me. A couple times I seriously only got 4 words in. He simply wore me down. He asked if they had X-rays of my hand, which I had hoped he looked at already. But no. He glanced at the X-ray there. Glanced is not an exaggeration. I felt as if I was being cross examined. In the end, he said I probably have arthritis and the trigger isn't bad enough. I was then dismissed. He heard what he wanted and that was it, mind you what he wanted wasn't what I said, or tried to say. Example : He asked if I had shots in my fingers for it and I said yes. Two fingers, two shots. Yet, from then on, he stated I had two shots per finger. There simply wasn't room for or time for me. He simply didn't listen and I finally gave up. I wanted to leave. Obviously, I left with questions. I have no clue how to help it. My copay is high, and I absolutely feel ripped off. Even if he thought he could help, I don't think I'd return. Guess I'm of to Mexico, because it hurts so bad that it wakes me up at night. I've taped two fingers together for over a month now and I feel pathetic.

Many doctors don't bother to view their patients as individuals, but rather as routine causes of illness or ailments that are seen day in and day out. Not so with Dr Fayssoux. He walked in with an air of genuine interest in meeting me; and introduced himself as "Reggie". He is conversational as if wanting to assess my personality and understand how I communicate . He has no air of superiority or impatience. He listened intently and didn't simply look at my MRI-he studied it -as if weighing options and not just going after a standard quick fix. He took as much time as I needed; answered all my questions with genuine helpful information and won my confidence within that hour. More importantly his surgery on me went well; when there seemed to be a glitch post op he wasted no time in getting to the root of the cause: treated it and resolved it to perfection. He is kind; and skilled and just an all around nice guy with a professional gift . You will be in excellent hands if you choose him.

This is one of those instances where I didn't have to get frustrated by the "schedule with one doctor and then get another", "bait & switch" tactic employed by most doctors in the Coachella Valley area. Instead.. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness, efficiency, knowledge, expertise and experience level of Dr. Bryce Jolly. He is a podiatrist and I thought I was going to see an orthopedic surgeon. Apparently they looked at my xRay ahead of time and noticed that I really didn't need an orthopedic surgeon... THIS time. Podiatrist was all that I needed. My metatarsal fracture has healed well. WHAT A RELIEF! ***** 2021 has been a year of breaking bones. It was only a few months ago that I was in a BOOT, suffering pain and agony from a 5th metatarsal fracture. Three months later from the initial break, another orthopedic outfit told me that my fracture had widened and that it had not healed well. Several months later I'm shown that my fracture has healed well and that I need to always wear a solid supportive shoe.. at least for a full year before wearing sandals again. I was elated by the good news! I highly recommended Dr. Jolly.

This is so inconsiderate and such horrible pathetic care and service. We will.never go to this hospital or their doctors again. Run the other direction as fast as you can. This place is a joke. Can not believe they are allowed to act this way. Reports to the state will be made over this.
