Our house was not an easy sale, it was at the high end of pricing because our location was on the SF Bay. We saw many offers that did not recognize the price of an amazing view, and we weathered the storm of low offers mainly because Kate's team made it very clear what it would take to get the house. Ultimately the right buyer came, but it was Kate's team who fought to get it done. The staging, appointments, flyers, advertising, open houses all were geat, but it was the common sense bargaining knowledge and technical expertise that separates them from the rest. We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome, Kate and team are the best!

I'm honestly a little surprised by some of the negative reviews because my experience with Cerda…read moreZein Real Estate has been completely different. Of course, everyone can have a different experience, but I can only speak from mine, and it has been great from start to finish. The whole team has been on top of everything. Communication has been great, everything has gone smoothly, and whenever I have a question or concern, I know someone will respond and try to address it. I also understand that in real estate and property management, not everything is always within their control. Things happen, repairs can take time, owners and vendors are involved, and sometimes unexpected issues come up. What matters to me is how a company responds when there is a problem. With Cerda Zein, I genuinely feel that they are on your side and willing to do everything they reasonably can to help. That's probably what I appreciate the most. I don't expect everything to be perfect all the time, but I do expect people to communicate, take responsibility for what they can control, and make an effort to find a solution. That has absolutely been my experience with Cerda Zein. I've had a very positive experience with them and would definitely recommend the team based on how I've been treated.

Initially, I felt hopeful because they did make an effort to help me. I especially want to acknowledge Yosef and Richie, who were both very kind to me. I appreciated the way they treated me personally, and I don't want my negative review to take away from that. Unfortunately, my overall experience with the company became extremely disappointing. As time went on, the communication essentially stopped. My texts and telephone calls were no longer being answered, and eventually I felt that I had simply been ghosted. Finding housing as a Section 8 tenant is already extremely difficult. When you reach out to a real estate company for help, you are placing a great deal of trust in them. Even if a company ultimately cannot find housing for you, communication matters. I would have much rather received an honest phone call or message saying, "We're sorry, but we're unable to help you," than have my calls and messages go unanswered. I understand that finding a landlord willing to work with a Section 8 voucher can present challenges for a real estate agent. My disappointment isn't simply that they were unable to find me housing. My disappointment is with the way the communication ended. I am grateful to Yosef and Richie for the kindness they showed me, but after my experience, I was left feeling that once it became apparent that helping me would be difficult, I was no longer worth responding to. For someone struggling to find stable housing, particularly someone relying on a Section 8 voucher, being ignored can be incredibly discouraging. I hope Cerda-Zein Real Estate will improve the way it communicates with Section 8 clients in the future, even when it cannot ultimately help them find a home.

Before our relocation to Alameda, we interviewed several prospective realtors and Sophia was the only one who wasn't in a rush to show us properties. Rather, she asked questions, listened to our desires, and very clearly stated how she and her firm could help us in our journey to find our next home. From the very beginning she had our trust, and that trust only strengthened as we proceeded through the home buying process. Not only is Sophia an Alameda housing market specialist, but she's a resident herself and knows every detail about the different neighborhoods and communities. Moreover, she is very well respected by her peers - when other realtors heard we were represented by Sophia they always seemed impressed. We knew we were in good hands. We loved viewing prospective homes with her. In fact, we got to the point where we preferred skipping open houses and making appointments with Sophia and her team instead. Speaking of her team, we don't want to leave out Gina. As an Alameda specialist herself, Gina was also available to provide an expert "third opinion/perspective" on homes we were interested in. They even got to know us so well that they could predict which homes we would like and which ones we would not before we even saw them. Finally, and most importantly, Sophia helped us find a home that we love and to close on the deal quickly and smoothly. If you are considering Alameda, you know the market is fiercely competitive for buyers. You definitely want Sophia by your side.

She was knowledgeable, transparent, and took the time to explain every step of the process. Since I was still living in the home, we decided to do partial staging and first marketed the property exclusively to Compass agents. We had one showing, and Tina honestly shared the buyer's feedback. The buyer loved the property but thought it felt too dark. Tina recommended a few practical improvements, and after talking through the options, I decided to move out so the home could be fully prepared for the market. She was very respectful of our budget and only suggested updates that would truly make a difference. Once everything was finished, I was amazed by the transformation. I even joked that I wanted to move back in because it looked so good. After hosting open houses over the weekend, Tina confidently suggested setting an offer date. She was right. We received two offers after the first weekend, and her multiple counteroffer strategy worked perfectly. We accepted a great offer and closed the transaction in just 7 days. Throughout the process, Tina was responsive, professional, and always looking out for our best interests.
