My first course of oysters naturale was the best oysters to date in Munich. The main course of entrecôte beef with a mustard sauce was cooked to perfection and, full of flavour. The wine we chose was exceptionally good for a very reasonable price. The chocolate mousse for dessert made from Valhorna chocolate was amazing and, I tasted the chocolate fondant which was cooked to perfection and tasted absolutely divine. Only a minor point but, the service was a little bit slow at times and our excellent hostess made up for it with her patience in explaining the menu and checking up on us regularly. I thought I was in a michelin starred restaurant in Paris for a while ;-)) As it turns out the chef has worked in many well know starred restaurants and this was clearly seen in the food. The flavours were intense and the food was well seasoned. I did not need to add a thing to the meal :-) Glad I went here again, as the experience was phenomenal and I loved it :-) Will most definitely be back here again :-)))

From the atmosphere and decorations you could not distinguish if it is about french, Italian or Spanish food. We ordered the 4 dishes menu for two. The food was excellent. Absolut no complains. Very interesting combination of flavors. The aperitif and open wine menu was short. The final price for two (3 wine glasses, water & 2 aperitifs) was 150€.

The chicken wasn't even more succulent or tender than any other chicken. Chicken will always just be chicken. I also don't know if it was racism but the table next to us got the same "surprise" 5 course meal but got a red meat. Additionally, when we asked for different desserts, the waitress was "unsure" if it could be possible even though the desserts we asked for were on the 4 course tasting menu. Idk what type of sham establishment this is but it's one of the worst Michelin rated places ever. I would have been more happy at the local kebab place than this overpriced restaurant that charges me 45euros for a slab of nasty leftover Oktoberfest chicken. Also they charge 7euros for water, you're better off with red wine so you can wash away the taste of the disgusting chicken and pretending it was steak.

Service is very friendly and super professional. I had a fish allergy and they were able to accommodate me last minute unlike many restaurants in Munich. The food was absolutely delicious and work of art. Each bite I wished if would last forever. Very good selections of wines. The owner is super friendly and delivers a wonderful evening. Reservations are required. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

It turned out anything but and had it not been for the dessert it would have scored a one star rating from me. The service here is really poor. The restaurant was more than half empty and plenty of staff on hand. We had to call the waitress over multiple times and they barely checked up on us throughout the evening. They also brought out our mains before the starters and then took it back. I am guessing they heated it up for the next serving. To make matters worse the portions were small and my main was pretty bland and lacking the rich flavors I would expect in a classic French bistro. The oysters were nice but it's not made by the restaurant and served natural. The beef main was rare and the meat was nice but the whole dish lacked flavour and seasoning. I ate it because I was hungry and not because I loved it. The tarte tatin was the best dish of the evening however the alcohol they poured on top was a bit too much. Ok selection of wine but a very small list. They also had almost nothing vegetarian for main and the dish they made for my wife was just potatoes with vegetable that was bland. C'mon guys this is 2019 and not 1970, how can you run a restaurant in a big city with almost nothing vegetarian ? I would not go back here. The staff were interested in cooking for themselves and talking amongst themselves and not taking care of customers. Portions are small and the prices high in comparison. Not at all worth it in my opinion.

The server was THE most upbeat person I've ever come across and the food was magnifique. I had a glass of pinot grigio and the seared scallops. The scallops had a delucious sauce and pomegranate seeds with zucchini. Just delicious. We leave here tomorrow so I cannot eat here again. If you're in Munich city center, stop in. You will not regret it.

I stumbled upon Les Deux Restaurant & Brasserie after a long day of walking around Altstadt…read moreMuenchen and several liter Biermasse. Les Deux is in a courtyard of sorts among the many Passages one finds in Munich. I do not recall this from decades ago, but you will appreciate the quiet atmosphere of the outdoor seating. As the late afternoon turns to evening, you will appreciate how the shade afforded by the many umbrellas blends into the night with perfect table lamps setting the mood for a romantic meal should you be with a special someone or an intimate evening among close friends. Les Deux gets high marks for atmosphere and you will appreciate the service, which is there for you, but restrained to allow guests to enjoy themselves. I ordered a beer, continuing the beverage of the day, and looked over the menu while enjoying the bread service with a tomato based spread. I don't know exactly what that spread was, but it seemed to be a tomato paste with olive oil. I liked it so much, my server returned and asked me if I would like more. I don't know why he charged me for the second bread service. That seemed out of step with this level of restaurant. I ordered the fillet of veal, which comes with mushrooms and potato chips. The potato chips were also out of step with the meal. I imagine the chef was trying to be different and wanted to go away from French fries, mashed potatoes, alligote or scalloped potatoes. However, the potato chips were a stretch and an attempt too hard to be unique. The veal medallions came with thick slices of mushroom, perhaps portobello, in a very rich and earthen sauce. Have a look at the picture accompanying this review and one can see this was an opportunity missed that garlic or sharp cheese mashed potatoes could have paired far better with such an earthbound savory sauce and the tender veal. A glass of red wine would have been on order, but beer sufficed with the potato chips. I don't want to make such a big deal over the potato chips, but I welcome the feedback of others. This is a fine restaurant and they have plenty on offer. I imagine they can do other things even better on their menu and there is still room for improvement for this dish. The sixty Euro tab was fair and they have small ashtrays for an after dinner smoke, which several partook. This is a sophisticated restaurant and I would recommend it to most anyone including my own return when I return to Munich. 4.1 stars!

I'm glad I had the opportunity to dine in this beautiful 150 year old restaurant. My review comes after its closure but it serves to honor the restaurant in hosting my visit. The Building is amazing where the walls and ceilings act as palettes for beautiful painted art. Stepping into the restaurant feel as if one is stepping through a time portal where one feels they are dining 151 years ago which is how old the building is. The ambiance is quite lively and energetic. Although the highlight is the space, the food is also very good. Their pretzels are served warm and fresh with a firm exterior and an interior that melts as it enters one's mouth. The soup is flavorful and healthy with not even a drop of oil pooling to the top. The schnitzel is as tender as it gets. The servers were knowledgeable and fast but it is always so busy that the restaurant should consider increasing staff as to improve customer service.
