Friends of ours booked to go here for dinner and 6 of us went to dinner here. Best to go here in groups of 6-8 as you can try different sauces and get more variety to share.
The menu is mostly comprised of fondue with a few other options like beef fondue (which is not really a fondue but more like a hot pot from the description) and vegetarian fondue made with veg broth. Some salads and steak are also on offer for non cheese lovers. The minimum for fondue is 2 ppl so we ordered three different fondues for sharing - Trüffel, Original and Provençal. The truffle was my favourite and also for the rest of the people and the Provençal was the great. The original was a bit bland if you ask me and I would not order it again.
You get a basket of toasted bread and pickles to go with the fondue and you can order sides like potatoes, veggies and so on. The pickles were actually quite a nice addition to the fondue and tasted great dipped in the cheese. They offered us a homemade hazelnut schnapps to start our meal and it was delicious. We ended up ordering three more rounds of it ;-) and bought a bottle to take home.
The Kaiserschmarrn for dessert was ordinary and I would skip it totally. The service was very friendly and quick to start but to took us ages to pay the bill on the way out. A classic Munich problem, quick to feed you and slow to take your money ;-)
I would definitely come back here again. It's a great atmosphere and it was packed the whole time.
It was a younger crowd and not too noisy. It's a great place for fondue in this town :-) glad we tried it. read more
