The hostess is quite literally the worst human being alive. Gave it 3 stars because the vibe is nice.

This was one of the most uncomfortable experiences ever at an established resteraunt. The resteraunt closes at 9, we arrived at 8:15 with no prior knowledge that they stop seating people nearly an hour before closing time. We asked to speak to the hostess since nobody was approaching us and she said "obviously I'm busy right now" and then proceeded to keep walking off. When she came back she was extremely nasty and brash, and kept saying that she is closing at 9 and there is no list and clearly we do not understand what she was saying while we simply asked a question of whether or not we should keep waiting or leave (there was only 1 person ahead of us). The way she was conversing with us was honestly appalling for someone that has a role within not only the resteraunt industry, but with customer service. As we walked out she called us a dumb c*nt and then when we said you know we can hear what you said she just stuttered and didn't know what to say. All to say that this is the most shocking and WORST interaction with someone at a restaurant. We will definitely never be going there again and encourage you not to either unless you'd like to be called an unnecessary and disgusting name by workers. read more

The wait staff was horrible. If I wanted to be mistreated I would have found a Dick' s Last Resort. My husband was a close friend of Louie, old Poker buddies from lower Greenville Ave days ,and I know Louie could be gruff but it was part of his charm. The waitress just assumed everyone understood her rules and if not get the hell out. Too bad. After 37 yrs I'll never return. I have been going here for 20 years and I walked out and will never step back in this place. I have sent tons of people here as the food is excellent. However, the redhead waitress/hostess is just a nasty woman. Came to the table and said can I take your drink order so we said sure and we would like to order food as well at the same time. She screamed " I said what do you want to drink did you not hear me". It was unbelievable. We had guests in town and we walked out. I don't need everyone to be over friendly but yelling at your table when you are in the service industry is unacceptable. The outside looks more like a pawn shop than a restaurant. The staff are upset you showed up. Every question you ask is a stupid question. The food was palatable but then again it's pizza. Best Pizza in Dallas. Chicago style. No not the thick pan crap this is authentic thin crust square cut pizza. They load em up fairly heavy so cutting it in squares helps it hold the toppings and prevents the dreaded cheese slide. They don't open till around 5 pm but there are plenty of places near by where you can enjoy a beverage and kill some time before dinner. Not only do they have the best pizza around but their other offerings are amazing as well. Crab finger appetizer and the meatballs are a perfect prelude to this pizza. Again the pizza is super thin crust so you won't be miserable if you do enjoy an appetizer or two before the pie. I've had the pork chop and a bite or two of the ribeye and both were exceptional. Even their salads are good. The Greek salad in particular is special. I've seen a few sandwiches come out that looked legit too but I've never ordered one. They poor a good drink and have plenty of beers to choose from. If you love Kennealley's in Houston and you find yourself in Dallas you have to try this place. I discovered Louie's about a year ago and ever since then I have been coming at least once a month for great pizza. The pizza joint has a unique dive bar feel complete with the same two bartenders always working. The place is typically crowded with well dressed professionals splitting pizza and canned beer, regulars occupying their typical bar stool, and small groups enjoying pie. Their pizza is savory . It is thin crust and has an addicting quality. It is a little greasy but absolutely a killer pizza. The salads are large- a small Greek salad is more than enough for two. The broccoli is a must. Groovy little martini bar with a secret, Louie's is slingin' the best fucking pizza in Dallas. I didn't cry at my wedding, birth of my child, or The Notebook, but I cried for 5 days straight after one bite. The service is a vibe, great, but they don't fuck around. John and Casey, are probably two of the best bartenders around. First timer at Louie's this week! The atmosphere was not like many places in Dallas, it had an older feel to it which was really cool! Dirty martini to start followed by a few glasses of a cab. Drinks were delish and priced very well!! Got the meatballs as an app and a pizza for the main course - and both were very good! Definitely some good classic pizza that you can't find everywhere else. Everything was great except for our waitress that kept making the comment about hating the "22-25 year olds that come in here", to other tables by us. She was very moody that they were packed on a Saturday night and acted as if she'd prefer the crowd be only 40 years old & up. Heard her tell several other guests at the bar to move as she was walking by, and not in nice way. If I go back I'd just hope to have a different waitress but everything else was good. Very disrespectful staff. We came in with a medium-size party on a Saturday night and expected a wait. We were quoted an hour and were explained where we would fit so we hung around the area in the meantime. After an hour, I went back to the restaurant to check in. The tables we were promised had not cleared out yet. Since it had been over an hour, I asked if there was any way to move things along because my party was getting frustrated.
