Update in response to the manager: Your response does not address the issues I listed and reads like a generic copy/paste. I was told on a Monday go walk in Wed-Fri, only to be told you have no xray techs and don't know when you will. Get your act together. Every time I've called regarding a basic X-ray, they seem annoyed to be working. It's walk in only which is annoying for the patients, but I was told to either come in at 8:30am or call prior to coming in to check the wait time. Well thankfully I didn't just show up bc I called and was told that they don't have a tech for the next few days and they don't know when they will -- what kind of imaging center has NO TECHS for X-rays? I'll be going elsewhere bc this isn't worth the hassle or risk. read more

A mistake was made by Loudoun Imaging Center which had a negative effect on my son's hips. I am writing to share so another family never has to experience this. They unfortunately made a mistake and said I never had an appointment scheduled when I did. My son needed to have a scan done within a certain window and because of their mistake with scheduling did not receive it. When I called to ask about this, they kept passing the phone to different people, and it ended in them saying "the manager can't pick up the phone right now." Beware of this office. I walked in for my appointment and asked "do you take my insurance?" and they responded "yes we do." What they actually mean is they will take your insurance card and then they will bill you out-of-network because they aren't actually part of your healthcare network. I called my insurance company, and they explained how dishonest doctors' offices operate like this. Then I called Loudoun Imaging's billing office, and they literally told me Loudoun Imaging is "dishonest" and they hear this complaint about Loudoun Imaging "quite often." Their own billing office used those words. CALL YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY FIRST BEFORE GOING TO LOUDOUN IMAGING because they will lie to your face. read more

I had an Ultrasound at my latest visit to the Loudoun Imaging Center. I was called and taken back for my appointment within a few minutes of registering at the front desk. The Ultrasound Technician/Examiner was very professional and kind, she spoke to me clearly, yet quietly during the exam when she needed me to move or hold my breath, so she could capture the images she wanted. She was very gentle when gliding the probe over my body, I never felt anything painful or sharp during the exam. I would highly recommend this facility for any Xray, DEXA, 3D Mammogram, Ultrasound or any other type of exam they offer, to everyone. In my opinion they have proven to be efficient and competent, and have caring, friendly staff. read more

I needed to have an ultrasound done and the largest imaging in the area Fairfax Radiology had no appointments. Then I remembered Inova where I have PT in Ashburn and sure enough, they had an Imaging Center and could accommodate me the next day (I had to do some prep work). Since I already knew the center, it was easy to find, easy to check in (they had all my paperwork), fill a few forms and then ready fir my exam. Very friendly technician and a report was provided in My Chart much quicker than Fairfax Radiology as well as to the doctors. I also picked up a CD. read more

Recently I took my mom here for ultrasound. She has been in a lot of pain and we were able to get a appointment fairly quickly. She had been here multiple times over the years for ultrasounds, mammograms etc . All the technicians are very nice and professional. Visit- The wait time was minimal and they were orderly. While checking in, they offer paperless registration with easy iPad check in. After the ultrasound, the technician was helpful in asking the doctor on duty the questions my mom had after. Side Note- This imaging center is located in Ashburn within a professional plaza medical building that has other doctor offices. So if need be, you can visit a doctor and get ultra sound/etc other tests done at the same time with scheduling appointments prior. ~ read more

Horrible experience. I arrived 15 minutes early for my ultrasound as instructed, but they made me wait for an hour. When I inquired about my appointment, the receptionist told me it had been canceled, and I'd need to reschedule! I asked for a refund (since they made me pay upfront), but they said it would take 3-4 days to process. I really hope I get my money back! I will never return here. read more

Most importantly, on schedule. I was in and out promptly. Friendly radiologist who made a rather unpleasant procedure very easy.

First thing first - this review is NOT for the technicians that operated machines. 1- star is to the facility management: 1) Rude receptionists. 2) Unclear about the charge difference under mammogram; 3) not responsive when people tried to clarify their charges; 4) (this might be a common practice) the radiologist you don't won't even get to see during the whole mammogram + ultrasound process. The management in this facility is a true 1-star. My fellow Yelpers, here is my story on how they up charged me - for your attention. They mailed me to remind me of my annual mammogram past due. When I booked the appointment, they informed me I was also due for a bilateral ultrasound - I went to my physician to ask them to revise the imaging order based on their advice. When I went in for the imaging, I was charged FULLY for a "diagnostic" mammogram, (NOT covered under my insured annual mammogram screening). They also billed me for "Bilateral" ultrasound even I only did an "Unilateral". I did my part, called the billing department, talked to the supervisor. No one can explain and clarify. I asked for a call, the supervisor said the doctor worked that week, but no one called back for the rest of the week. So, long story short - they knowingly let me do a mammogram under the category of "diagnostic" instead of the normal "annual screening", which is $500 on my bill. They said it was the doctor's order - yeah right - my doctor also ordered me to do an annual screening. Why NOT tell that to me before skipping the screening just went straight to "diagnostic" one?! The mammographer, Vanessa, was wonderful- super kind and super gentle. This was far and away a much better experience than my last 2 mammograms at another facility. I was thrilled. I believe there was no wait time in the office and I was in and out in record time. Emily phoned me about a possible call back due to no previous CD from the other place for the doctor to make a comparison. She was also super kind and polite. She called me again the very next day to let me know that everything looked good and I didn't have to come back in. read more

Recent screening exams , which are usually stressful, were actually made a pleasant experience by the employees at this Imaging Center. Check in was efficient and friendly. Wait time was only minutes. The technician ( Emily?) was outstanding. She was pleasant , skillful, and efficient. Went in for an X-ray. I called ahead and was told no appointment was needed for x-rays. Upon arrival, it took about 10 minutes to register and then another 10 minutes to be called in, which was much shorter than expected. Technician was very professional and considerate. X-rays are walk-in only. Despite this, I was able to get my films done very quickly. The radiology tech was very friendly and patient - and my pain levels were her top priority as she was trying different positions to get the views she needed. Following instructions sent via email, I arrived 30 minutes early, and called before proceeding into the facility for my bone density scan. I was *stunned* to be invited to go on in, gave my name and insurance information, and within 5 minutes was being seen! This center was the worst I've ever been to. Had to complete a biopsy of my thyroid and they had a PA complete this procedure. Nothing against PAs, but usually a pathologist does this type of procedure. The PA used 7 needles and still didn't get the right tissue sample. After 6 weeks, I'm told the tissue sample was not correct and I have to complete the procedure all over again! I ended up going to another center and had to pay another 1K for this same procedure. This center still made me pay the entire cost of the procedure they didn't do correctly the first time around! read more

Quick and efficient even though I forgot my order and they called my doctors for the order and said it couldn't be done. Only for me to call and have an order faxed as they were telling me this. Front desk should be more helpful.First they told me my Dr. wasn't answering and then they said they wouldn't send an order. I called and got an order while several of the front desk were saying oh If the order is old we can't accept it, oh they said they can't send it until you see them. I'm like which is they didn't answer, old order, I need to be a seen by my primary for a new order??? If personnel put forth that much effort to help a patient get their diagnostic study ie. mammogram. Leads me to think how many other patient get turned away with fiascos like this! I'm sorry but this place is terrible. The moment you walk in the front office staff is not looking up, too busy on their cell phones. Very unwelcoming, and unprofessional. To top it all off, the tech who did my Ultra Sound on my breast made me incredibly uncomfortable, had a rude tone of voice, body language, and attitude. I came here to get imaging done for a cyst on my breast and when I asked her a simple question regarding if she was seeing any type of cyst that I have been feeling she answered back very rudely with attitude and didn't even correctly answer my question. It's quite literally not my fault you are unhappy working there and miserable with your own life, no need to take it out on me. I wish I had gone to the Leesburg location for my imaging instead of here, but this location had earlier openings and I wanted to get in sooner. I now see why they had earlier openings, because no one wants to go to this location considering what I experienced at this place. read more

I've gone to Loudoun Imaging for years, and have always had a smooth, easy experience. The front desk staff is helpful in scheduling and checking in, and they're so efficient, I'm often leaving the building very close to (or sometimes even before) my appointment time. When I checked in, I realized I didn't have my insurance card with me. The front desk staff was able to accept an e-mail with a copy of my card, so that I didn't have to reschedule the appointment. Carrie was my tech - she was great. Told me exactly what she was doing and what I needed to do each step of the way. This is the best imaging center I've been to in the area. read more

Once I arrived the Receptionist greeted me with a warm hello and processed my paperwork efficiently. I only waited a few moments before I was called back. Both the technicians I saw were kind and easy going. These types of test can leave you feeling anxious, but these professionals did a fine job of putting me at ease. This review will either be updated or not, depending on what their office says when they get in. I agree with the previous reviewers, to a point, regarding the office staff. While I didn't find them to be rude, per se, I certainly felt that they would rather I not be there. Or maybe that they didn't want to be there. Either way, if you dislike your job that much, you should probably get a different one. That being said, this review is regarding their billing practices. I was charged nearly $200 the day of my visit and I just received the summary of charges from my insurance where my responsibility was supposed to be $0. I contacted them(my insurance) and let them know that I was charged over $170 at the time of the visit and they let me know that I needed to contact the office and request a refund, as I shouldn't have been charged for anything. While I was on my insurance carrier's website, I also noticed that they charged my insurance for scans that they didn't do. I went in for an abdominal ultrasound because my Dr wanted to confirm or rule out an inguinal hernia. They billed the insurance for three scans, abdominal, limb, and limb but the two limb scans were listed under the same procedure code. Right now, and this is before I've spoken with the office, this place looks pretty crooked and I would avoid it, or at least look very carefully at what they're charging you for AND what they're charging your insurance for and make sure they did what they're billing for. This looks like one of those places that would rather ask for forgiveness than permission. read more
