Received a Fibroscan. All staff were friendly, helpful and did their job with a smile. Was taken back exactly on time. The technologist explained the scan in detail and gladly answered all my questions. The scan took only about 10 minutes and I was asked again afterwards if I had any questions. Firstly, as unfortunate as it is, I have become a "professional" patient of sorts spending the majority of my life in the waiting rooms of 5 different medical fields and all of the waiting rooms of the many different fields from their orders. Secondly, as you know there are many, many poorly staffed medical offices of all types. I visited Fair Oaks Imaging next to the mall a few years ago and had such an easy experience that it has become my absolute office of choice for all of my CT and X-ray orders. In fact I was back in there yesterday with more X-ray orders. Now, with 17 years experience of walking or being wheeled into medical offices I know to always be pleasant and smile when possible and I will nearly always get pleasant in return. The staff at FOI has always been pleasant and helpful in return....always. No different yesterday. I wish I could remember her name to give her due props but, I will next time (3 months) and update my review. The X-ray tech, Deb was nothing short of a bonafide superstar. Big smile, wonderful attitude and a warm personality. We (patients) are not there for fun, being ill or broken SUCKS for us all so, having a "Deb" show up in your day is an uplift an otherwise stressful and often terrible time of our life. The "Deb's" are so rare that I mention her purposefully hoping others are able to come across her and experience a little sunshine during a dark time. Please let her know, she truly deserves recognition and ALL "Deb's" (superstars) do. read more

I have gone to another local radiology department for the last 20 years. New insurance forced me to seek this place. I can't give it high enough praise. I had three different types of scans here in the past two weeks. They have been friendly, efficient, and professional. This was my first visit to this facility for a test that I could find no other facility doing in the local area. Registration was simple. The appointment was done on schedule. The technician explained everything to me before it happened during the test. The doctor was basically on time and explained what he found after the test. I have been going to Fair Oaks Imaging for years. I have used them for mammograms and bone density scans. Most recently they performed a CT scan. Their staff is always polite and helpful. Also, the technicians seem to genuinely care. They always provide a thorough explanation of the procedure and are happy to answer questions. One of the most important things to me is punctuality and I never have to wait. I have to request leave for most of my appointments and they respect my time unlike the vast majority of Doctors. I also love their patient portal which makes it super easy to check in before the appt and the results are always available within 24 hours. read more

Mammogram was painful and I cried out that it hurt (esp hard image) but was ignored. I understand that the objective is to get the clearest image for the radiologists to accurately do their reading, but if it is so painful that I am in tears, it is not helpful. I will probably put off getting further mammograms and not at this facility again... ever. Need sensitivity training for all staff. read more

I live 2 hours away but this is one of the few places my insurance is cool with. The ladies at the front desk are very kind, welcoming, and helpful. The staff that does your CT scan are wonderful, helpful, upbeat, and kind. I felt like I was in good hands while getting my scan done. Facility seemed old and a bit shabby. Then they did NOT send me a bill, or otherwise try to contact me and instead referred me to collections. I have never before been referred to collections - ever. So, rather than try to contact me they opted to jeopardize my exceptional credit score. There was also an 18 percent collection fee! I explained that I had purchased a home and moved after the appointment, and never received the bill, but they refused to waive the extra fee. Will look for a service with a more updated billing protocol next time. (not sure why it says i'm in San Fransisco. I'm in Fairfax, VA) Update - staff was otherwise fine and friendly, etc. read more

I have used the services of Fair Oaks Imaging Center since 2000 for mammograms, x-rays, and ultrasounds. They are comprehensive and the technicians are helpful. The only con is the front desk staff, they could use training in customer service to include greeting those coming through the door, relaying that they will be with someone standing at the window as soon as possible, shorten wait time to check in, etc. read more

I've been here several times over the past years. I was there on 09/01/23 at about 11:00am. There was about an hour wait. I came back on 09/04/23 at 8:00am when they opened for a chest X-ray. I had the chest X-ray and was out of there at 8:10am. Very cool! The people there are nice, and I've always been happy with the service.
