The staff are very professional and courteous, somehow they find a way to make each patient young and old feel safe and comfortable having an MRI. I had brought my late father here many times and even though claustrophobic he seemed to be relaxed and comfortable. I honestly can not find anything negative to say, and I find it strange with everything going on, but honestly there keeping the place clean offering sanitizer and mandatory mask, taking temps and social distancing. Wow!! I brought my sister in today for a mri. First off. Thank you for being open on a Sunday, she depends on me to take her and it is so hard to come during the week. I really like the people at Insight Imaging in Woodbridge, Va. I've been coming here for almost 9 years under orthopedic referrals/recommendations for MRI's. The staff (especially Rosa) is amazing and very friendly. Whenever I am there she take the time to lead and guide me with the extensive medical history paperwork as I have cervical issue and limited mobility. The radiologist is also cool, but patient and I thank her for waiting for me while I had Rosa assist me with the paperwork. I'm sorry, if I made you stay past your working hours. I just needed a little help. ‍‍... Anyhow, I enjoy that bc of my insurance company I can pay an affordable amount and out-of-pocket expense to begin the process. So thank God for Anthem Fed BCBS. Seriously! I also enjoy that I get an MRI disc to keep/present to my surgeon in the event they notice a new finding with my condition. I had an MRI done here. Very friendly, helpful and patient staff. I called a few times and wasn't never put in hold, or transferred unnecessarily. The facility was nice and clean. Good location, easy parking. My only suggestion would be to offer to send reminder texts of appointments and locations. read more

I almost always have a great experience at RAYUS formerly insight imaging. Patient techs who make sure you're comfortable and who communicate the entire time. I didn't know they changed their name and I almost went somewhere else since I didn't know who they were. So glad I didn't. I have only panicked once during an MRI and this tech was not friendly. The Woodbridge techs are always so great. Definitely my preferred location hands down. Oh and the receptionist at the front desk starts the tone of your visit. The lady at the Woodbridge office is so pleasant and patient and she's usually juggling the phones also alone and scheduling. She has a great temperament for this job and I hope they appreciate her. I surely did. My most recent was on a Saturday afternoon. Most people get annoyed when having to work on a weekend. This particular team was not. They were great. I left feeling heard and extremely comfortable. read more

I was sent here from my neurologist after having a seizure. The staff called me fast to schedule the MRI and got me in sooner then any other center in the area. The staff is friendly, helpful, and very calming especially when having your scan done. They offer headphones to listen to music to help keep you calm and still during your scan and even burn a CD of your images for you before you leave. I like the fact they also email the images over to your doctor along with their neurologist findings for your doctor to compare their findings to. Over all a great facility... be ready to wait though my appoint was at 3 (you have to arrive 30mins early to fill out paperwork) so I got there at 230 and wasn't taken back for my scan until 330-4pm. It is a smaller facility and some scans (with contrast or without, etc.) take longer than others so be prepared again to wait. read more

Do not patronize this center they tell you last minute, that you have to pay and they out right lie when you ask them if they are in your insurance onetwork.Then when you are in front of them they still neglect to inform you that they are not in network.Annette and Claudia shame on you! Also later on my husband told me that the person that did his MRI at a another center showed him the screen and discussed every thing with him. This did not happen at this center! I have always had great experiences with Insight. Professional staff at the front desk and performing the services behind the scene. I have not had a problem with appointment scheduling, normally scheduled in the evening after work, they are fast and efficient without my feeling rushed. I have had a number of different procedures done and it's been as pleasant an experience as could be expected under the circumstances from start to finish. It was nice to walk into a medical facility in which I had an appointment for, and I got called in when the appointment time came. I got there early, in case there was paperwork (there was, but I filled out most of it online, so it was mostly signatures), and called in on time. The lab tech was patient and made sure I was comfortable before the MRI started. I was asked to pick a genre of music, which I did, and discovered that this facility has Sirius XM. If you are a subscriber of that radio, you can give the tech a specific channel to listen to while the procedure takes place. At one point, I was asked if I was still comfortable, and was told what would happen as the procedure went on. This is a very professional place, plenty of parking, easy to find, and if needed, I would go again. Also, the hours are as good as it gets (11 PM M-F is closing time, and they have Saturday hours). read more

Needed to get an MRI for the first time ever and decided to skip the hospitals and give this place a shot. Figured it might be a bit cheaper, although I never checked with the hospital. It was also close to home. I had to reschedule my appointment a couple times until my insurance finally authorized it. Note, make sure your insurance authorizes the procedure first or you could get stuck with a hefty bill! They have you arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled MRI so you have time to fill out the paperwork and get situated. After that, it's off to the back with the technician. The first stop is a small enclosed area with a locker for your stuff and curtain if you needed to change.Put my stuff in the locker and locked it. I had worn a t-shirt and stretchy shorts and the radiologist was cool with me wearing that, thankfully. Didn't really want to put a gown on. I was then taken to the MRI room. It was more pleasant looking than I imagined. Laid back and got situated on the table. First thing she did was give me an "OH U KNOW WHAT" button to squeeze if I needed help. I squeezed it to test it out. Don't think she liked that, but it worked! I had been worried about the loud sounds I had read that the machine makes, but she gave me some headphones to put on that played music. They were great. Indeed, not only do they muffle out the sounds, but make the procedure go by considerably faster. Speaking of the procedure, it was surprisingly easy. I was expecting the chamber to be really tight and crampy, but there was plenty of room overhead for me, and I'm a pretty big guy. It took about 20 minutes to finish my scan. The music, as mentioned earlier, makes a big difference in the overall experience. The other advantage of the headphones was the technician could speak to me, which she did a couple times. Stuff like, "You're doing good" and "You're almost done" After it was over, I got up and went to the locker to get my stuff. A few minutes later, she handed me the disc with the mri results to give to my doctor. And that was that! Overall, a very good experience! Definitely recommended, especially if it's your first MRI and/or you're a little nervous. Good luck and hope you get good news! read more

I called to schedule a appointment for myself and the lady on the phone was VERY RUDE I tried to talk to her and all she did was talking to others in the background like I dont hear them and if I asked a question she got either louder or talked to over me. Then I just hung up on her and made my appointment else where. If this is how this company operates I want nothing to do with this place. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Big time scammers. Don't ever go there. Their facility is below par and their service is extremely poor quality. On top of that they mislead you with wrong quote. They authorize payment during the visit and send you a bill that is 5 times the "personalized" estimate that they provide on the day of the service. Total cheaters. Their staff is extremely rude and they have no courtesy to inform you that you will be waiting for 2 hours at the center even with an appointment. DO NOT EVER GO THERE. read more

This was my first MRI and she eased my fears and just very understanding to my situation. Walter the Technician was also awesome! Very polite and he also very Professional. TOTAL SCAM. My insurance convinced me to come to this facility for a MRI scan. Although it was inconvenient, I agreed to come here since the amount they quoted was going to save me a few hundred dollars out of pocket. I paid the exact amount in full quoted by this facility. They performed the test that was ordered and nothing additional. Nothing has changed. Weeks later, I got a bill for an additional few hundred dollars. They said the original amount was a "quote". If I had known that it would cost the same amount as the original location I scheduled for, I would have gone to the location near my house. This was a very deceitful move on their part. I feel scammed. I would not recommend coming here. read more

I went there for an MRI only because the MRI's where I normally go were down due to the storms that went through the area at the time of my appointment, shutting the machine down. I will never go to Insight Imaging again unless I have absolutely no other choice. It was a late night appointment so I get that perhaps the two night crew members I dealt with were ready to call it a day, but if Insight Imaging is going to offer late appointments, then its staff shouldn't behave in such a way as to act like they are being put out. The receptionist at the counter was not personal-able, but, I didn't mind that because I'm not looking to make a friend, just get business done. However, she behaved more like she was annoyed at being there. Perhaps it had been a long day. I get that and was willing to overlook it. I wouldn't have bothered to write a negative Yelp review merely because of her borderline rude behavior. The issues began when the tech came out to get me for the MRI. There was no discussion about where my pain was or the level. He was nice, just rushing. I arrived completely ready to enter the machine. Did not need time to undress or anything like that. I was told to lie down and before I could explain that the position I was in was excruciatingly painful for me, I was handed earplugs so close to my face I couldn't even see them at first, handed headphones and told to put them on. I was asked what genre of music I like but he was going so fast at strapping me down, handing me all these things, and basically rushing through, that I merely shrugged. I actually would have preferred no music, especially not at the loud volume it was at. At that point, he left the room and I went in the machine. I've had several MRIs at other facilities and they always checked in over the intercom to ask if I was alright and to let me know how long each segment was going to take. As it was, the pain I was in was so extreme, I just needed it to be over. I did not press the emergency stop button for concern he would be annoyed at the delay. I want to point out that when I was having the MRI the previous day at the facility I normally use, I experienced NO pain because the tech was very mindful of the location of my pain and how to place the body part being scanned into the device holding it in place so I know pain could have been avoided. By the time the test was over, I was in tears, but I thanked them and left. I will never return if I can help it and will never recommend this facility. I don't want to be coddled or fawned over when I'm having a procedure, but a little care and compassion would go a long way, not to mention that if you are unhappy with your job, hours or work place, it reflects in how you interact with clients. read more

Since the appointment number is general, I was mistakenly scheduled at one of the centers farther from my home. The staff at the center near my home quickly accommodated dated me so i was able to get an appointment the same day at the center of my choice. I was very terrified to get an MRI and didn't have a driver so I couldn't be sedated, the tech was very calming talking to me through out and allowed me to have a wash cloth to cover my eyes. I have been to Insight Imaging numerous times for mammograms and MRI's. Once you are there, the experience is good. It is getting them to answer the phone to make an appointment that is the issue. I have been hung up on, had my call placed on hold only to go to a busy signal after several minutes, and have been given the "voice machine" stating to leave all my info and someone will contact me during "business hours" ....even though I am CALLING DURING BUSINESS HOURS.!!! If you do not appreciate the phone tag game, I do not recommend...I only put up with it because they are located only blocks from my home. read more

I went in for a scheduled mri today, but wound up having to going home without getting the procedure done. I was originally going to go through my insurance company, but found out through my neurologist that paying on my own was less than half the price ($1497 if I used insurance vs. $700 if I paid Insight directly). I called Insight yesterday to verify that I could just pay directly instead of having them bill my insurance. I spoke to two different people in their office yesterday who assured me I only had to sign a waiver saying that I didn't want my insurance involved. I have been unable to drive so my husband had to take off work to drive me an hour up the 95 to get there. After paying them the $700 fee that I had been repeatedly quoted, they told me that they actually had to bill my insurance after all, and that I would have to pay the $1497, an almost $800 difference. The staff, aside from one sweet woman, was unapologetic and basically said nothing could be done. I explained that I had called the previous day to verify the charges (with two different individuals) and all they did was shrug. I am deeply disappointed in my experience with Insight Imaging in Woodbridge. If any one happens to be reading this lengthy review I would highly suggest checking the cash price before involving your insurance. I was blown away by the difference in cost. read more
