I had never been to this particular location before, and given the area demographics, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I actually really enjoyed the class and got one of the better Sculpt & Flow workouts I've had in a while. The class was pretty packed for 8 AM on a Sunday, but we worked so many different things and I burned more than 400 cal. The instructor was just super nice overall and did a great job motivating quotes and also demonstrating the moves. If you've been to a YogaSix before, it's the same jam: Flow water dispenser, restrooms, one studio room, decent heat. I would def return.

I love that they dimmed the lights, which set the mood. The music was loud at times, so a bit hard to hear the coach, otherwise perfect. They definitely take pride in their studio by keeping it clean. After each class, they go in and clean/sweep the studio. They sell alo mats, but everyone can bring their own mats or rent one. A drop-in class is $10, which isn't too bad. I didn't get a chance to find out about the memberships as I booked through ClassPass. There is plenty of parking directly in front and also shared by surrounding businesses. Would I return? absolutely!

Until today, I have been…read moreextremely happy with my 12 month unlimited membership, however, it all changed today for me. I was informed late last week that one of my medications has a severe side effect; heat stroke. Due to the severity of this side effect with my medication that is essential, I sent an email to the yoga studio which included my doctor's medical advice via email. The email states from my doctor that I cannot be outside or participate in activities over a certain temperature. Unfortunately , this also includes heated yoga from what she told me during my last visit. With this new news, I emailed Lori from Five Peaks Yoga about cancelling my 12 month contract. This was her response today via email: "The 12 month contract is a commitment without exclusions, however, i do have some options built into the contract that may be helpful. If you would like to use the cost of your family membership towards private sessions (our Purcellville studio has a room that is below 85), we can work together to make that happen. Another option is to transfer your membership towards someone you know who may want to take over your contract phase." I'm sorry, but both options do not work. Purcellville is far from where we live and I do not have family local to the state to even consider having them take over my contract. Let alone, anyone that lives near this yoga studio to take over the contract. I now know the studio is more focused on making money instead of member's health being the top priority. Is that one of the basic yoga principles? It's surreal that a yoga studio would tell me that I cannot cancel my membership due to a medical condition with a letter attached directly from my doctor; advising me not to participate. Most gyms and yoga studios that I have visited urge participants to follow the advise of their medical practitioners. The two "options," are not options that are helpful or help me in this situation. Why would a yoga studio want to have a person with serious known side effects due to daily medication, to participate in activities that clearly could result in adverse long lasting effects or death? I plan to share this complaint everywhere! This is bad practice for a small business. Especially one dedicated to health, wellness and advocacy of one's being. Including the Better Business Bureau. I will never again rave about Five Peaks Yoga or recommend anyone to this small business. Thank you disregarding my health and making money your ultimate priority.

The teachers here are so observant and pay attention to each practitioner. I never once felt pressured to catch up with the class but was taught to own each practice as my own. Johnathan has to be one of the best teachers I've been fortunate enough to learn from. Jayme, Michelle, Gretchen all have such unique and amazing teaching styles and make yoga feel like your own personal practice- and not a commercial exercise class. That is incredibly important to me. I was given the mat and towel, but not the foam roll and band(s), so I had to improvise. They have a month-to-month package ("paid in full" not commitment/enrollment fee) and a 6-month package with an enrollment fee. The packages include all the classes; however, the isometric classes require a mat and towel purchase ($100) or daily rental ($5/use). I didn't want to commit to 6 months, so I chose the PIF for one month and only did the HIIT classes. There is also a special membership that allows access to other locations. Their website (hotworx.net/workouts) has previews of each workout, which is helpful when booking the classes. I love the app as members can book their own sessions and as many sessions as desired. There aren't any booking, cancellation or late fees. I was able to book 3-6 HIIT classes back to back, and change them at the last minute. The rooms are meant to fit 3 people, except for Hot Blast, which only has 2 rowing machines. Luckily, most people just book their own rooms and don't double book in a room that's already occupied. The HIIT classes are each 15 minutes long and the isometric classes are 30-45(ish) minutes long. There also a separate workout section in the back with free weights, TRX, etc. The vending machine includes snacks, hydrating beverages and miscellaneous items including blue tooth earbuds, towel, etc. They are open 24/7, but staffed during the daytime. Members can enter any time with a code that is provided upon signing up. There is also an app that grants access. Would I return? absolutely!
