I purchased a dishwasher and needed it installed. I called Lou the Plumber and they came out the next day. My old dishwasher was very old but they were very knowledgeable and knew exactly what fittings and hoses they needed to replace the old ones. Very Friendly, clean and efficient. My new dishwasher was installed in less than an hour. They left no mess behind. I couldn't be happier with the service and the two that did it! Exrtremely good experience! Would highly recommend!

Hannabery HVAC

I have been using Hannabery HVAC since 1999 for both of the homes I have lived…read more I have many positive experiences and here are the top two ... In my first home I had my air conditioning system cracked and needed to be replaced. I had someone check it out and I could tell they had no idea what they were doing but communicated the system needed to be replaced. I called H-Bery and they checked it out and realized it was installed incorrectly and that it was under warranty. They replaced the system at no cost! Savings,, a lot! Started using their services ever since. I get their silver star bi annual servicing and have had no issues or emergencies. I bought my current home when it was only 8 years old and on their first visit they said " Your going to need a new system soon" that was in 2003 . It is now 2018 and I have the same system! I will say that about 10 years ago the " top half" of my heater needed to be replaced, they called around and couldn't find the parts and communicated I needed a entirely new system. The repair man took about an hour or two and repaired it and I didn't need the new system. They have made repairs many times and I trust them when they recommend something be replaced or repaired. All of my neighbors have had their systems completely replaced at least 6-7 years ago , they all blew up around the same time. To be fair most of them didn't service their systems correctly and they definitely didn't use H-Bery !!!!

This contractor does not believe in Covid precautions and actively does its part to spread the…read morecoronavirus to customers' homes. The statements on its web site to the contrary are false. Its service man (whose name I am not disclosing) was at my house for routine maintenance a few days ago. At no time did he wear a face mask.  I'm vaccinated, and all the other contractors coming to my house recently have been vaccinated, too -- at least they say they've been. I'd think that vaccination would be good for business. At the end of the Hannabery call, when the service man asked for payment, he came into my home office and came closer than six feet to me as I handed him the check and signed his computer. Given the absence of a mask, I assumed that he had been vaccinated, but I asked him anyway if he had been.  He immediately became hostile and said that Hannabery doesn't require vaccinations or masks and that he would neither confirm nor deny if he had been vaccinated. I said that if I had known he hadn't been vaccinated, I would have been wearing an N-95 mask, which I have. He responded that even N-95 masks don't protect against the coronavirus, which is patently false.  He left the house in a huff. Apparently, Hannabery and its service man believe the anti-vaxxers, rather than Dr. Fauci, the Food and Drug Administration or the Centers for Disease Control. After he left, I had to open all the windows and wear an N-95 mask because I had no idea what the service man may have left behind. It is the service man's defiant attitude that is spreading the Delta variant and making people sick. The Hannabery web site says, "Our technicians wear gloves, face masks and booties."  In fact, they do not. A few days before the appointment, I received an e-mail from Hannabery with the service man's bio. According to Microsoft Word, the e-mail contains 413 words. It's in a tiny font. At the very end, the e-mail has the following disclaimer, "***Effective 06/28/21 the Pennsylvania mask mandate is being lifted.  If you still prefer our technician to wear a mask while in your home please contact our office prior to your scheduled service call.***" I didn't even notice it. I would like to know how this disclaimer in the e-mail squares with "Our technicians wear gloves, face masks and booties," which appears on the web site and DOES get noticed. In my house, I will determine who enters and who does not.  If I'd been warned that the service man wasn't vaccinated, I would have canceled the service or refused him entry. On the same day I had this experience, I e-mailed service@hannabery.com about my concerns. They never responded. Hannabery can take its anti-anti-Covid crusade to like-minded customers who also feel that the pandemic is a hoax. I have a relative who died from Covid after being on a ventilator for two weeks. I never gave informed consent to Hannabery about having an unmasked, unvaccinated employee in my house. Because of this incident, I've gone for Covid testing and am waiting for the result. This is the end of my eleven-year association with Hannabery. When I need routine maintenance next year, I will be hiring someone else. Apparently, their principles are more important than my money.

They were on time, checked out the AC, added coolant and then took a quick peek at the furnace. They said both look good for the age (17 years) and should be good for a while. I had questions about rebates for heat pumps and he had answers about rebates, rough costs and advantages of the new heat pumps. He reiterated that we didn't need to change out our current equipment but if we feel it's important for environmental reasons there are good options. We'll definitely be using them going forward, and have a fall furnace checkup scheduled.

On the first cold day this winter he claims the heater is all rusted out in the exchanger and has to be replaced, along with the entire system because a new heater can't work with an old air conditioner. Our neighbor suggested we call their guy. He's been in business for 30 years. Needless to say, the heater was not rusted he showed me the unit was very dirty, the fan motor and wheel were clogged with dirt and there were two dead birds in the chimney. The outside air conditioner was only 10 years old. I'm convinced SK had never done anything other than collect their fee and try to sell stuff we didn't want or need.
