I saw an ad for Daniel Roy and it looked like a much better experience, so we were fortunate enough to get some tickets and our expectations were exceeded in every way. We attended a show at the Salmagundi Club in the front parlor. The club itself is lovely and we had cocktails and enjoyed a wonderful pianist prior to the show. We had tickets for the second row (out of three rows) but due to the intimate size of the space, there wasn't really a bad seat in the house. Daniel is such a great showman and he really integrated the crowd into the show. The time flew by and we were entertained non-stop. I'm still unclear how my credit card ended up where it did after I gave it to him! If you can catch a show, we 100% recommend it. This is a great gift (think birthday, anniversary, etc) or just a nice evening out. Audience members are encouraged to dress up and that makes it feel even more like a special occasion. We are big fans of Daniel and the show and think everyone should experience it.

Tip: If you show your ticket at a select number of restaurants around the area, you can get a discount on food and drinks! (Monday night only) Sitting closer to the front, or near the aisles will make it more likely that you will be chosen to help the magicians! The show was about 2.5 hours with one intermission filled with magicians doing smaller acts throughout the theater. They had a tiny snack bar that had candy, drinks and wine. They also sold some books and beginner magic tricks. The first magician did mainly scarf and ring tricks, which were cute, but by the end, we were ready for more. The second act was a couple from London and they were hysterical. Their act was pretty impressive, but their personalities overpowered their tricks! The MC did sword swallowing which was amazing and jaw dropping. I had great seats in the premium section and had never been so close to someone doing it! The third act was a mentalist. His last act was one that I still talk about with everyone because it was so unbelievable! The MC mentions that each show is different, I'm ready to go back and experience more magic!
