Easton Motors EZ Credit of Beaver Dam

I do give Easton Motors a little credit for reaching out to me in response to my negative review…read more Beyond that, no, my opinion has not changed. Here is some background story: Despite my better judgement, I financed a car through Easton (for a much higher than average interest rate and high monthly payment) because I needed transportation and did not have any savings at the time. The staff was exceedingly friendly and accommodating while trying to sell the car to me. However, two months later, I was laid off. Looking ahead, I called Easton right away to try to make alternate payment arrangements. They wouldn't return my calls, and when I WAS able to get them on the phone to discuss finances, both the local rep and the owner that I spoke to were rude and insulting. They refused to give any accommodations or extensions at all, and repossessed the car as soon as they were able. If they would have worked with me at all, I would've been able to keep the car since it only took me one month to find a better and higher paying job. Instead, they got to resell the same car (for the same price, I'm sure) and now I'll be working for years to repair the hit that my credit score took. Bottom line: Your best friend during the sales process, then will throw you under the bus.

So we were in a bad situation financially and needed a car. None of the cars had a price up front…read more We wanted a 2010 escape but they said it was out of our budget and sold us a 08 equinox instead. I don't see how the prices could be that far apart on 2 similar vehicles but what ever. We have had the car over 3 years and other than the head gaskets going out (which I fixed myself) its been a good car for the most part. I will say that if you are like hours late on a payment they will call freaking out. I forgot to transfer money from my account to the one the payment comes from and they blew up my phone like I was trying to steal the car. We pay every 2 weeks and haven't missed a payment in over 3 years. Also we switched Insurance carriers and with in a day we had papers we were in default. They didn't even give us a chance to get them the new info before freaking out. our car will be paid for in the next year and I wont by from there again. If you want to pay 19k for a car that's worth 6-8k and had 100k miles or over on it knock yourself out.

So we bought a 300 srt8 here in 2014. Loved the car but after a few months started having problems…read more Ubersox always says ubersox puts you first. Absolutely not!! What a joke. We called our sales man who sold us the car (alex mann) and he would never return our calls. We ended up trading it in for a wrangler at galena chrysler. Amazing people to work with would never buy anything anywhere else but galena Chrysler. So we screwed up again and bought another wrangler that i fell in love with at ubersox. My shocks broke through the frame and up through the back trunk! This shouldn't have happened 4 months after buying a $28,000 vehicle. When i went in they told me i didn't have a warranty! Ha! Went home looked at my papers and found a warranty so i went back and showed it to them. The service guys were decent and helpful but the manager derek is a piece of lazy sh!t. He wouldn't even come out and talk to us about our vehicle we purchased through him. They are fixing the issue but i recommend not going to ubersox due to the lazy manager and how they do not stand behind what they say. They definitely do not put you first at ubersox.

After calling a few tow companies who didn't answer and AAA who's said they wouldn't even get to me for about 1 1/2- 2 hours I called Ubersox for help. Randy answered the phone and promptly sent a young man named Phil to rescue me, Phil arrived in minutes removed my blown out tire(my car does not come with a spare tire) and took me back to the dealership to settle the bill while he got a replacement tire for me and then returned me back to my car and replaced the tire. I was on my way within 1/2 hour of the blow out and was eternally grateful for their quick and friendly service!

I do like Educators Credit Union mostly because it's not one of those big awful three mega-banks…read morethat tanked our economy in 2008 and since then have been robbing the American public in the form of excessive fees and loan interest without mercy. This location has a great staff of friendly, efficient and able tellers. They have extremely limited contact during the pandemic which tells me they care about health and safety.

Educators Credit Union is a financial cooperative. We've been with ECU for about 9 years now. We moved from US Bank after getting nickel and dime on a monthly basis and extremely poor customer service. We read about ECU, came in to talk to them and walked out with our accounts set up. Friendly, outgoing and accommodating customer service each and every time we go there for whatever reason. We have multiple savings, checking and home improvement loan here and now most recently a short approval process to get a pre-approved auto loan in a few hours. We were then able to better shop for a car. I was also there to help my oldest build credit, working with a rep and asked if it was possible to have him order me new checks and he went in and did that within 30 seconds instead of pushing it off to someone else. What we like best is one of their programs. Debit and credit card holders can earn reward points. Every dollar we charge on our debit/credit card: Debit card "credit" transactions = 1 point for every $2 spent Credit card "credit" transactions = 1 point for every $1 spent Redeem points for discounts and promotions on Educators products and services, cash back, gift cards, air travel, and more. We use our points for hotel stays and take side trips with the kids. I can't stress enough how exceptional the customer service is. After all, banking is a service business, and ECU does a great job to earn your business. ECU started out operating under the guiding principle of "Not for Profit, Not for Charity, But for Service." They consistently deliver on that principle.
