Lovely local spot - hidden gem! Fresh seafood, right on the beach, filled with locals. Would definitely go back!

Not for the most affordable in Marbella, but undoubtably some of the tastiest. Then again, our…read moreprior eating ventures were low-key in price but definitely delicious. Hubs noticed Santiago during one of our beach days at Playa de Venus and vowed to return as a final dinner to celebrate my birthday. And when he looked at the menu, it was a go. Striking interior design with light woods, whites and navy accents set themselves apart from the restaurants on the Avenida Duque de Ahumada strip. Without a reservation, it was no issue and seated outside. Servers were all in attendance and worked jointly. The menu offers Starters, Soups, Salads, Rice, Seafood- of course, meats, Desserts, etc with exquisite taste. The €55 a kilo price on the menu for Centollo (Spider Crab) we ordered was incorrect. Newer and market price is currently €155 per kilo. But I must say, that spider crab dish is the best I've eaten in my life and prepared with a savory cream sauce in the crab's cavity. The only thing that would've made me more happy is ordering more bread and dunking it in the sauce- but I have to consider my surroundings. The only nit-pick we had is that their paella isn't served in the pan like we're used to but instead plated for you. It's very good though. To round out my birthday dinner, hubs ordered a cheesecake on the sly with halved nectarines in a sweet and silky syrup that was delicious. We enjoyed it all.

My main course is the spider crab, steamed with garlic, olive oil and onions on the side , hubby ordered sea bass baked in sea salt, now paired with viña Ardanza from Rioja, absolutely delightful. The restaurant is surrounded with tempered glass, carajillo and home-made flan for desert. Words cannot describe the satisfaction of enjoying an awesome meal facing the Mediterranean Sea!! A perfect 10 is not enough!!

Our first night in the area and unsure where to eat, I pulled out my Yelp app and started doing…read moresome research. The first few places seemed to be closed (it was a Sunday night) but eventually I found The Farm which sounded solid and looked cute in the pictures. We grabbed an uber with our friends who dropped us "as close as he could get" and we found our way using Google Maps down the pedestrian only areas of town. This was maybe 7:30pm for dinner, which in Spanish time is not the time for dinner, so we had the place to ourselves for an hour or so. We did dine outside on the upper level patio, which was extra charming, and not at all an issue as blankets were provided and there was also a standing heater. My husband, the self-proclaimed biggest fan of Iberico anything, got straight into ordering and I think had at least 4 plates of jamon sent to the table before we cut him off. We finally convinced him to do the Farmer's Tapas plate to add some cheese into our lives. The kitchen also sent out out some absolutely delicious olives and hummus as a snack. Our server "Stefan" (I totally made up that name for him btw because he was Swedish lol) was absolutely amazing. We loved interacting with him, getting his wine recommendations (they were fabulous) and really could have spent a much longer time here just because of him. He's awesome! The one drawback (for some) might be the menu here, which is slightly limited, but I had faith that this meant the kitchen had perfected these dishes, and I was right. After all the light bites to start I was pretty full and opted for the Beet Carpaccio as a main, which was just the right size and light enough for me to steal a few bites of other's food. The Ox Tail in Blueberry Sauce was delightful as was the Paella. Seriously cute place in the area which shouldn't be overlooked.

OMG! What a fantastic place! It is so hard for me to give a 5 star review because not many places…read moreof this caliber seem worthy of it. They seem almost held to a higher standard in my mind because of what they are. They are opulent fine dining and so they should just be perfect right? If there are Tesla's, Ferrari, and Aston Martin's everywhere you should just expect perfection right? I understand that as an American I am used to a different kind of service, I guess... Fast acknowledgement and really attentive is what I would call it when out dining in a $$$$ restaurant. On our visit's it wasn't that they were slow or uncaring, just different... We never really had a "server" that I could identify as "our server". We had a team of people that seemed to all have a different role in our service. One brought water and drinks, another brought menu's, another took our order, and yet another served our food when it was ready. When he delivered my food he said something inaudible and I agreed. I can only assume that meant dress my dish for me. He removed the bones from my Lamb Shoulder and plated it for me. He seemed to be the professional food presentation guy as I watched him serve several people around us various dishes. He had the precision of a surgeon when serving the fish dishes cooked in rock salt. On to the food! This is where this place stood out! They brought out a nice crispy vegetable appetizer when they served the bread. (The Naan bread was amazing BTW) We had the Tiger Prawn Cocktail to start and wow is all I can say. Big giant Prawns in a layered cocktail type sauce. I have no idea what the sauce was but wow. I could have eaten 4 of these dishes and just left. It was that good. We also tried the Tandoori Chicken Wing Lollipops on another (lunch) visit and they were good but nothing like the Prawns. My wife ordered the Surf and Turf (Filet and Lobster). It was served with fresh veggies. The Lobster was pulled from the tail and served atop the Filet. She seemed to really enjoy it and commented about how good it was. I was totally distracted by my own food. On to my Lamb Shoulder! This is one of the best pieces of meat I have ever had. It was tender, juicy, full of flavor, and well... amazing! It was served with a Red Wine sauce, and Chimuchurri sauce, and the best damn Béarnaise sauce I have ever had. I reluctantly added the Béarnaise sauce to the Lamb not want to detract anything from the meat but as I tasted it I could not help but keep adding more and more to my plate. It was sooo good! I ate every single bite of it and didn't even care that I was about to explode from gluttony. My Wife couldn't finish her steak so I tried a bite of hers; it wasn't even in the same ballpark as the Lamb. It wasn't bad; it just wasn't nearly as divine as my Lamb. As I stated earlier, the service was strange and almost kept me from giving 5 stars. We waited 10 minutes to be acknowledged for drinks and another 10 for the check. Everything in between drove the 5 star review home!

Food was extremely jestic... service was good but extremely overpriced, i'm good off it.read more
