People deserve to know the truth before supporting these 2  business (Los Ruizeñores & Jardin Cafe). The owners portray themselves as very religious and caring people, but based on my experience and what many workers have shared, the reality behind the scenes is very different. Employees are frequently paid late, sometimes waiting weeks for money they already worked hard for, and workers are often treated unfairly or spoken to disrespectfully when things do not go the owners' way. There have also been serious concerns about employees feeling intimidated, including threats involving immigration or ICE being used against workers. No employee should ever feel fearful or pressured in a workplace environment. To me, the behavior shown behind closed doors feels extremely dishonest and hypocritical compared to the image they present publicly. Respect, fairness, and timely payment should be the bare minimum for any business. The same ownership is connected to Los Riseñores and Jardín Cafe. Based on everything I've personally seen and heard from multiple people close to the situation, I cannot recommend supporting these businesses. Everyone deserves dignity, respect, and fair treatment at work. read more

We ordered enchiladas that were decent at least. We also ordered chilaquiles which was a disaster. Look at the photos! We asked for over easy eggs, and they weren't runny at all the yoke was overcooked. The carne asada with it was dry and overcooked and just looked and tasted old like they warmed it up from the day before. The worst part of all was the Chile relleno! It was so hard you couldn't even cut through it! The breading was tasteless and hard they used bread and not egg. The salsa they give you with it tasted the complete opposite like a pico de gallo more than an actual sauce. They completely failed on the chili relleno, and also with the over easy egg and carne asada for the chilaquiles. This was such a waste of money and I will never come back. Terrible experience. I'm leaving two stars just so the review seems fair, but this was really disappointing. We ordered two California burritos and both were completely cold -- the cheese wasn't melted and the rice, beans, and meat were all cold. They also had no guacamole. When I asked about it, the employee said they were out, even though we specifically asked what came in the burrito before ordering and no one mentioned it. We also ordered birria tacos, and those weren't good either. The breading was poorly done and just tasted off. Overall, very disappointing and not worth it. read more

Waited 20 Minutes for a Burrito de Asada at 8AM. I asked in the beginning if it came with chips and she said yes. The chips never came with the burrito. The burrito was also super small to cost $15. I promise you, You can get a better one at any other taco stand on the street. I first came here when they opened up a long time ago and got their Chilaquiles. This truck came to a school event for my children. They were friendly, accommodating, and fast on their service. They offered Zelle as a payment option which I loved. I have a three taco plate for 12 dollars it had one asada, chicken, and carnitas taco. Each of them came with guacamole without an extra charge which was a huge plus the flavors were packed inside everything. They also gave chips and green and red sauce everything was so good. I would definitely recommend 10 out of 10. If you see them and have a chance to stop it's a must try for a great price and portions was generous. read more

What a great discovery. LA taco's tiktok made a series on eateries in Sylmar and Los Ruizenores was one of the restaurants featured. It looked so good, the homemade tortillas caught my eye and the carnitas. My husband and I went on a Friday afternoon for lunch, the same day I found that LA taco Sylmar TikTok. We went a little wild and ordered $60 worth of food for us, we ended up taking a bunch home. $3 extra big bag of homemade tortilla chips to eat at home with the salsas. $4 small guacamole $3 hot salsa small $16 chicharones plate (includes beans, rice and homemade tortillas) And a bunch of tacos Al La carte $2.60 or so each. +A big tip. Loved the chicharrones plate, it's unique. Basically carnitas but with the crispy bits. Really lovely. This is a meal in itself. I loved the carnitas tacos, hands down was my favorite. The Al pastor was ok, I think it would be tastier if it was made on a trompo. The carne asada taco was lovely too. I would get two carnitas and one carne asada next time and skip the Al pastor. The hot salsa is packed with flavor, spicy but not too hot, I'd say it was more of a medium hot level than a spicy spicy. Guacamole was nice. I'm for sure getting the chicharrones Al La carte to take home. Love that they have a carnerceria next door I have to try next time. They also had a bunch of baked goods from a local vendor. It used to be good when they were behind a store, but this new storefront has fallen short the last couple of times I've ordered. Both times they forgot an item that I paid for. Been here twice, first time I went I got the Green Chilaquiles. I asked kindly please no spicy , just regular to minimum spice. They ignored my request and It was piping hot. I went again, to give it a second chance with the loaded fries, explained that I don't do well with spicy, and to please have the pico & chipotle sauce ON THE SIDE. I even explained that I had a bad experience last time, and the lady taking my order said she would make sure. I opened my container of food when I got home and the pico and chipotle sauce were all over the fries, I tried to eat it but as a person who does not like spicy, I did not enjoy my meal. Last night I went to church (Shepard at Porter Ranch) for Thursday night worship at 7pm. I was so busy at work I didn't have time to eat all day. When I got to Shepard at 6:30 they were giving away these prepackage nachos. I got the Carne Asada nachos, OMG!!!!!! they were sooooooo good!! Chips were crunchy, Carne Asada was seasoned perfectly, pico de gallo had the perfect spice, everything went so well together!!
