My family and I just love this place!!! Excellent food, great service. So willing to accommodate your diet and anything you want changed. Great selection for vegetarians too. They have a great family atmosphere with TV's everywhere for those sports nuts. We ordered the T-bone steak, veggie burrito, and Rancho Vegetariano. Soooo delicious!!

Taco salad

Service was ok! Server was super sweet but didn't have any "refreshing" non alcoholic beverage recommendations- a friend gave me a recommendation instead. Food came out promptly. But because I asked for steak on my taco salad they automatically changed my bowl to a fajita steak bowl- I hate bell peppers so that bummed me out. Lastly, chips and salsa were bomb! Too many flies landing on me, the food and our beverages though.

This is not a whiskey state but they are friendly! WooooPig

Service is great and the atmosphere fits any crowd! Food was affordable. We came up here from our campsite good and fed so we did not eat. Come check it out. This should be the stop for every local and a stranger just peeping in. Not a whiskey bar by any means but they have no shortage on local beer and tequilas. Solid spot. No reason to not be 5 stars for my visit. Also has a dance hall attached to it. This place belongs in a bigger town but I think it's perfect for the one it is in too.

Made me feel like a local! If you are trying to find fun…read moreplaces to go out in Broken Bow/Hochatown, the internet often is not much help. I found scant information online about the Watering Hole, but something about what I was able to see made it seem like a place we wanted to go. I mentioned it to staff at some of the places around town and was told the same thing over and over "it's really a local's bar.". This was usually followed by a compliment like "it's great", but I wasn't sure what was meant by the first part. I remained stubbornly committed to checking it out. I was visiting Broken Bow as a group of three ladies celebrating a birthday. We were looking for a place to kick off a Saturday night that would definitely end with some dancing. We were appropriately, if not slightly ridiculously, wearing matching fringe jackets and hyped for our fun evening. When we pulled up at the Watering Hole, we could see inside the whole place. Less than 10 patrons were inside, about 90% were guys. Real guys guys, ranging in age from 45 to 65 and we had a moment of trepidation about how our silly feminine energy would be received. Any nerves we had shook right out of our fringe after we went inside. We were greeted warmly by a few of the patrons, who came over and inquired about our outfits. The curiosity came from a nice place and they kindly wished our birthday girl a happy birthday. We were even gifted a beverage called The Sasquatch. Bright yellow, deadly strong and banana flavored, we split it amongst the three of us and enjoyed it to the last drop. Grant was bartending and chatting with him was a highlight of our entire evening. He was interested and interesting and clearly a skilled barman. He shared insights to the local are humored our music selection before wishin and sending us on to scoot our boots. This is a perfect local's bar, and we were welcomed like locals. Every town should have a Watering Hole.

The surprise win was the fried shrimp were actually really good just too salty. And this is coming from a Cajun. But good job I'd actually rate it pretty close to flavor we get back home! The siracha fries were savory and spicy and all the things nice :) glad I didn't skip that as it helped me power through the burger. The cinnamon bread was just not exciting and tough. But maybe it's better fresh.

Allie greeted me almost immediately and got me seated and set up with a sweet tea and a menu. She returned just a few minutes later and answered all the questions that I had about the menu - which were many - because there's quite a selection to be had here. I finally settled on the Gouda burger with crispy bacon on a lightly toasted, brioche bun and all the fixings. I upgraded my Fries to beer batter onion rings, and boy was that NOT a mistake. Onion rings were crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside, with a little bit of that tangy beer batter flavor. The burger was piled high with tart, crunchy pickles, crisp lettuce, and a big tomato wedge that was perfectly ripe. Rounding up the presentation was some of the crispies, most perfectly cooked bacon. I've seen in a while and a nice wedge of Gouda cheese, melting, and oozing over it all. On the first bite, you could tell this was definitely chargrilled and done right. The beef was cooked through, but not dried out and the whole thing was a big juicy delicious pile of goodness. My waitress, Allie, was Jonny on the spot with everything. Sort of like the butler from Mr. Deeds; anytime you would start to think about needing something, she would magically appear and practically read your mind, bringing you exactly what you wanted. I was shocked to discover she's fairly new here because she's really good at her job and seems to fit right in. Overall, I'd give the burger and 9.5 out of a 10. It might be able to use just a tad bit of more seasoning. I'd give Allie an 11 out of 10 because she really went above and beyond not just for me, but her service was so good, I actually watched her with the other patrons and she was all over it like a bad topure on Howard Cosell, only in a good

There was also a really nice patio with lights and it was dog friendly! I had the grilled shrimp avocado salad which was wonderful. Shrimp had lots of flavor and not overcooked, lots of fresh avocado and a good amount of goat cheese. It was really a delicious salad that filled me up but didn't make me feel weighed down. I did not drink any beer since I was working but they had a solid selection and I saw some good looking cocktails bring served as well. Eating at local places while I travel is such a plus when it's delicious food and a friendly server. I paid to park at the meter in the front but the back has a free lot. I was promised a glory hole…read more My boys and I drove over 4 hours from Dallas because my roommate, Michael Jackson (no, I'm not making that up), found an ad for what was supposed to be The Glory Hole Of The Century. 'Ol' Faithful', they called it. Five of us were crammed into a tiny, smelly, nasty, souped up Honda Civic Type R for what seemed like an eternity, lured under false pretenses. Don't get me wrong, we still got our happy ending. I say the Civic is 'nasty' because my friend never cleans it out, but it's also 'nasty' in a cool way because it's totally decked. We're talking LED lights, a digital touch screen, a leather steering wheel cover, a sick spoiler, fog lights... the works. Keith's dad hooked it up. I don't even think it's street legal, but the cops would have to catch him first. In all honesty I don't think Keith would ever try to evade the cops. He hasn't got it in him; hasn't got that warrior spirit. I guess Michael found an ad on 4chan or something, and it was Keith's 43rd birthday, so we decided to surprise him. It was really generous of Keith to make the round trip drive, which totaled out to be over 8 hours. On his birthday. He's a good guy, no matter what his ex wife says about him. They have differing views on the subject. It's kind of a 'he said, she said' sort of thing and I'm trying to remain neutral. You get it. When we got to Hotshots we played it pretty cool. We got a table for the 5 of us, ordered a round, and let the sweet anticipation continue to build. Just 3 of the 5 of us had visited a glory hole before, myself included. We had the entire car ride to explain in vivid detail the sheer ecstasy that Keith Bradford and Michael Jackson were about to behold. I think it's the anonymity that makes it such an exciting and truly unique experience. We ordered some potato skins to start. We went with the bbq pork, which was amazing. We wanted some oysters to boost our libidos (not that they needed boosting), but they don't serve oysters. A couple of quick google searches convinced us that the oyster-aphrodisiac thing is all a myth anyways. We decided to take turns going into the bathroom; insisting that the birthday boy/ designated driver went first. Because he was popping his glory-hole-cherry, we ordered him a Shirley Temple, which he seemed to enjoy. Much to everyone's extreme disappointment, there was no glory hole. There wasn't even a hole. No holes, nor glory. Not even the remanence, the ghostly whispers of glory past. There weren't even any condoms in the trash can. When the entrees came out our moods immediately turned around. We did kind of a family style thing. We got some wings, a pizza, a couple of burgers... the crab dip, a couple cups of gumbo... The gumbo is legit, btw! I grew up in Utah, which has a surprisingly good gumbo scene, so I know what I'm talking about. The PB&J burger was on point. Thanks for redeeming what was about to be a complete failure of a roadtrip, Hotshots! And thanks for making Keith's birthday a special one!
