So happy I was craving burritos on our long drive back from Yosemite! My boyfriend looked up lots of places that we ended up accidentally passing (due to the highway) but pulled over after seeing the stars and reviews. After we parked (small parking lot), I went in to pick up the order. For safety measures, they have customers wait outside if the order is still being prepared. Our order was ready right away. For $23 (tip included), we were able to get a super burrito as well as a regular burrito. The super burrito was HUGE. And absolutely delicious. I ate half of it for dinner and saved the rest for lunch the next day. It was STILL amazing! We were in Tracy to buy a car and needed a quick bite to eat, luckily for us this place was right across the street which made for a easy lunch. Nothing better than a good authentic street taco and this place delivers just that! The carnitas was by far my favorite of the 3 tacos I got but the spicy pastor took a close second chicken needed a little more flavor but still delicious. My husband really enjoyed his steak said it was flavorful and perfectly cooked. When in Tracy we will stop here again for sure! read more

When we walked into Los Potros I felt like it was my lucky day. Simple interior and a friendly face greeted us . After ordering at the register we were served some the best homemade salsa I've ever tasted . The chicken soup was served complete and was full of tender cooked chicken in a tasty broth. A massive asada wet burrito was inhaled by my son and their chili relleno was a perfect melding of tangy pepper smooth cheese and red sauce. Great service and food . I was craving albondigas soup so I did a little search and this place populated on the list. I then asked my friend who's lived in town for a few years and she recommended this place. So I called and ordered take out. They asked me "flour or corn", thankfully my friend had already gave me a heads up on this question and it refers to tortilla's they'll provide on the side. I responded corn. So turns out Ive stopped here once before for taco's. The soup made it home safe and sound without spillage and I was pleasantly surprised to see that a large soup actually felt like a large. Onions, jalapeños, cilantro and lime where in a side container for you to include at your discretion. You guys, the soup was soooooooo good. It totally hit the spot and I felt it had authentic flavors. The meatballs were a good size and I swallowed the whole thing before thinking of sharing a picture. I only finished half of one tortilla, it seemed fresh, with a fluffy consistency. I was so satisfied. I had previously ordered taco's here and that was good as well. I feel this place is a bit off the beaten path for food but it's closer to the downtown side and nothings too far in Tracy... I recommend this place. read more

We visited here this past Friday to get some dinner while we were in Tracy. It was Friday, and as we are Catholic and it's Lent, so we can't eat meat. My wife and I both got some Cheese Enchiladas (red sauce) with rice and beans. The food was really good. It wasn't amazing, but it had flavor and you can tell the rice and beans were made fresh that day. The enchiladas weren't spicy, but I did have to add a bit of salt. The place itself looks like a little hole in wall, I passed the door to go in lol. Inside it's a little spacious, I tried counting and it could probably sit like 30-40 people. So not too tiny. The menu is extensive, and we would have loved to have tried different items but due to Lent we had to limit it. Service was excellent, our server was on point and checked on us regular. They were really busy, but we still managed to get our food in about 15 minutes or so, so pretty quick. We will definitely be back, I'm going to rate it a 4 for now as I'm limited on what I tasted. We frequent Tracy often so if I'm in the area will definitely try again and try some more items on the menu. Maybe I'll increase the score at a later date. Definitely recommend, good Mexican food. read more

This is our go-to takeout spot in Tracy, their food is so good! When I finally drove by in person (instead of using DoorDash) I was surprised at what a small hole-in-the-wall it really is, with bars on the windows. But it still had a decent amount of tables inside and plenty of very quick waitstaff so I can see why this place is successful besides the food. But the food is great! My husband loves their smothered/wet burrito!, And I love their birria and pork street tacos, served with grilled onions and jalapeños. Their rice and beans are solid, and their salsas are excellent! I even got the plain ol' green pork enchiladas last time, looking for something smaller, and even that was delicious - I can't wait to order again. To be more accurate if probably fall into a 3.5 stars category for Los Potros. I really really wanted to love this place, especially after reading the good reviews. I got four carne asada tacos and a grilled chicken super burrito. The first taco I had was just one giant piece of fat. I wasn't even able to chew it. There was no other meat in that one, just a ball of fat. So that was one lost taco. The other one I had was fine but not enough to spend $1 more than the other meats, since it was still highly fatty. The chicken burrito was giant but probably 3/4 rice with chicken. I'd rather have a smaller more balanced burrito than a massive size burrito that's pretty much just rice. The chicken did taste pretty good though. I maybe just got them on a flukey night and would possibly try again, but for now I think I'll stick with my go tos in the area. read more

This place is just getting worse and worse after being one of my favorite mexican places/restaurants to eat this place has been slowly but efficiently become one of the worst places to eat in tracy unfortunately is the closest one I have to my job but if you have options go somewhere else last year they increased their food prices by almost 30% for example their breakfast burritos were $5 a year ago now they cost almost $7 they are also very greedy with their signature salsa, they always give you as little as possible and I gotta say at least in my case their food isnt good without their salsa and giving you those tiny cups with salsa it is just greedy and bad customer service Do you also have a complain about this restaurant, please feel free to share it with the community read more
