Wow! I love this place. Bright and decorative inside without being too overwhelming. It was very clean as well. There wasn't anyone around when we first walked in, but we only waited about a minute to be seated. Our server was very kind and attentive. She offered a couple suggestions which was nice because it's so new. I ordered a chimichanga meal. It came with guacamole, pico, sour cream, beans, and rice. Everything was delicious! The beans had some sort of smokey flavor I couldn't put my finger on. The rice had quite a few vegetables in it I wasn't expecting, but very good. I loved the pico. It had a little kick to it. The ground beef was AMAZING. I'm very picky about the flavor of beef so I was pleasantly surprised. My husband had tacos al pastor with lettuce and cheese. He said he enjoyed everything as well and would love to come back. We had two different people check on us throughout the meal while not being bothersome and letting us enjoy our meal. Very highly recommend. We can't wait to go back and try dessert

I LOVED the restaurant that occupied that space years ago, Adelino's, but it was a totally different type of cuisine, so I didn't go into it comparing the two. The ambiance was great. I loved the way they'd revamped and utilized the space. Our server was attentive initially, but after we'd put in an order for an appetizer and told her we needed a minute to look things over, it took forever for her to come back to take our orders. We didn't see her much after that either. The food wasn't worth the price in my opinion. The queso dip was good, but I feel like you should get more than you do for $10. My boyfriend loved the cheesy birria tacos, but I was less happy with mine. The meat in my tacos was barely lukewarm when they got to the table, which was weird to me; even when I get shrimp tacos elsewhere (when the shrimp isn't fried), the shrimp is at least warm. The fish taco was better than the shrimp taco, but you can get far superior tacos for cheaper at other restaurants around town. We both ordered a Paloma and found them to be very tequila forward and not as effervescent as they should have been; we were expecting carbonation but couldn't taste any bubbles (and barely any grapefruit) at all. I enjoyed it more than he did though. Overall, we're pretty sure Nom Nom is a one and done for us, which is a shame, because we'd heard great things and went into it with high expectations. But for almost $80, the food and service we received just weren't up to par.

What a find!!! My family loved our visit to Riviera Maya Lafayette!! We were traveling from…read moreAppleton, Wi to North Carolina and wanted to find a nice place for a fun meal before stopping for the evening. Normally I list the positives and negatives, but I really didn't have anything negative to say. Ambiance - one word... FUN!!! It's well decorated and just a lively atmosphere. Bright lights but also decor of a Mexican temple. They had fun, vibrant almost Latin Club music playing so it was upbeat and lively. Service - the service was great. I had seen some reviews complaining but we had nothing to complain about. On a Saturday night at 7:30 we were seated immediately. The waiter took drink orders, came back to get food orders, and checked on us throughout our visit. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Food - probably some of the best Mexican food I've had!! The chips. - nice and thick and crisp. Could have used more salt but I know many places allow people to salt to their own taste. Homemade Hot Sauce - great flavor and a good amount of heat. I really enjoyed it. Ribeye Tacos - delicious. The onions and jalapeños were cooked perfectly. Even the rice was some of the best I had. Highly recommend putting some of the house hot sauce on it. Pastor street tacos - another delicious dish. The combination of the pastor and pineapples with cilantro and onion was perfect. Fajita Salad - had a bite of my daughter's food and it too was good. A good combination of vegetables and meat that I would consider for next time. Overall I would love to stop back here another time if I'm passing through Lafayette. If you haven't tried them, I highly recommend you do!!
