I wish I had more words to describe my experience here! I've never been to this area before so I asked a friend who lives nearby for recommendations. Los Moles was one of the top recs and I can definitely see why. We found street parking a couple blocks away and enjoyed the weather walking to the restaurant; the parking meter was a few bucks for maximum two hours, not bad! The exterior of the restaurant is beautiful, music was playing, and the interior was just as beautiful and cozy. They offer the menu or a buffet style. The service was phenomenal right off the bat and continued throughout our meal. I ordered the Carne Asada Platillo Casero and my boyfriend got the Burrito Mojado with Carnitas. For drinks, we got a Tamarind Margarita and a Modelo Especial. Both of us were overwhelmed with how good our orders were - we finished every last bite on our plates! My plate included beans, rice, cotija cheese, nopales, onions, carne asada, and guacamole, and they gave me a steaming basket of two fresh made tortillas. It was the perfect amount of food and every last ingredient was enjoyable on its own, so combined it was even better. I kept repeating, "Wow, this is so good!" throughout the meal. I wish I had asked for an extra order of the nopales and onions to go because I enjoyed it so much. My margarita was probably the best margarita I've had, hands down. I don't usually drink so I couldn't finish the whole glass, but I easily could've had two if they were nonalcoholic! I highly recommend coming here and enjoying a meal. The food and service were both good overall. There was a delay coming from the kitchen, but our server was quick to let us know what was going on and apologized, which I appreciated. We arrived around 6 p.m., and the restaurant was pretty empty at first. There was quite a bit of mobile-order business happening, though, and the dining area gradually started to fill up as we ate. One thing I found a little odd was that I ordered a burrito, and it came out foil-wrapped on the plate, almost as if it had been prepared for takeout. It wasn't a big deal, but it did feel a little unusual for dining in. One thing I really liked was seeing someone making the tortillas fresh on a comal. I would go out of my way to go to Los Moles. One of my favorite places to eat in the bay. I would highly recommend going for their lunch buffet on the weekends. Tasted more like Chai, either way it was delicious! Our friends are the best that joined us. Parking here is terrible. The meat in the buffet mole dishes had either skin, fat, brain, idk, too much for me. I just don't like meat well enough to eat any of that. I did really like their cilantro rice! Thankfully! This was my second time visiting with a friend who hadn't tried their moles before. I sadly cannot have their moles because of my nut allergy, but they have an extensive menu of mole dishes which all sound delicious. My friend loved her chicken enchiladas with mole sauce which she said had just the right amount of spice, and I decided to try their huarache (corn cake) with shrimp. My huarache dish was light and flavorful, although the corn cake was thinner than I expected (more like a tortilla). The last time I visited I had the Carnitas which were very good. Front of restaurant is cool second half is so hot by the end of meal everyone was sweaty. And was automatically charged $19 for a tip. Finally tried Los Moles for lunch and it did not disappoint. I got the three taco platter. You can have your choice of soft or crispy tacos. I chose the crispy tacos, but I found it hard to eat them by hand so I used a fork a knife. It is packed with delicious ingredients. I had the chicken and pork it was topped with guacamole and sour cream and whatever magical ingredients they had in it. It was more than enough food. I will definitely be coming back here. They are known for their moles, however I did not try it so next time I will make a point to try it. read more

We decided to try a meal here after walking past it for years. The place is beautifully decorated and inviting. Our server was a very friendly young man who answered our questions and took our orders. I chose their Soft Tacos plate, which includes three tacos of your choice, along with rice and beans. My wife was very excited to try their Moles. She chose their Weekend Buffet, which featured a few of their signature moles. Since we were there in the afternoon and knowing that buffet food can sometimes be disappointing because it might sit for a while after cooking, I tried to discourage her, but she went ahead anyway. I was happy with my tacos. The beef taco was my favorite, closely followed by the carnitas and chicken. However, my wife was disappointed with her choice, feeling that the moles she tried didn't meet her standards. I wonder how she would have felt about a freshly prepared plate of her chosen mole. They are not lying when they say mole bar. So many moles to choose from and they even have breakfast/brunch buffet. I was craving some chilaquiles tho so I went with my original order which did not disappoint. Everything tasted fresh. The chilaquiles were crispy and every bite drench in the homemade sauce and topped with eggs. The only suggestion I do have is the beans were yummy but a lotto salty. Less salt and they would be ideal. My husband ordered the veggie/pumpkin enchiladas. He devoured his whole plate. I tried a piece and was surprised at the flavors. They popped with the mole sauce. Menudo, Pozole and Mole. I just can't get over their buffet with all these available items. The star of the show are the handmade tortillas. Warm, just made and in a basket to keep warm... You're better off with the buffet in my opinion, for the price of about 20 bucks per person it's tough to beat. Don't forget the Spanish coffee in clay pots for that "canela coffee" fix you didn't know you wanted. Pretty authentic if you ask me. You just can't go wrong it seems. I do this weekend deal about every other week now for years and they don't disappoint. The service is attentive and the portions are really just up to you. Red, green, or brown--I feared to lose. So I ordered them all and to my dismay, I'll be rolling home by the end of the day! The other night, I had a delicious dinner at Los Moles with my dad and a friend. I had crunchy tacos with beef, which were delicious, and the portion sizes for all three of our meals were very generous. My dad got Mama Elena with enmoladas, and so did my friend. Suitable for a casual pre movie meetup with solid chips, spicy salsa guacamole and margaritas - I enjoyed the pineapple margarita and the standard one my partner enjoyed as well. The street corn appetizer is messy and tasty and I would order again. My poblano mole (chicken) was solid with slow heat building but not too much and the meat was tender and easily shredded with a fork, perfect to wrap in the house made tortillas. It wasn't very busy when we went but we liked the outdoor seating (no overhang or umbrella though. We tried their burrito with the most recommended mole but honestly the mole wasn't very flavorful. I also asked for a dish with a lot of meat and they recommended the steak plate but it was pretty small. It was about $50 for two people just drinking water so I would try another place next time. It wasn't terrible but I wouldn't go back. Also they didn't offer chips or salsa which I think is typical for the area. Which is not bad, considering they have plenty of food and it lives up to its name: mole collection. A few positives: 1. Servers are all so nice. Some are not so fluent in English but they still tried. 2. They honor the check-in-mimosa. And it was tasty too! 3. Their carnitas are great! I love their cochinita pibil as well. 4. Their chicharron is sooo good! Some can be a little tough though, so be careful. 5. They offer pozole as part of their buffet. Something I rarely see. 6.their green rice is better than their mexicano rice. Some downside? Some of the mole looks like it's been there awhile. There is also no mention on the type of meat for each dishes. Something to improve! We ordered burritos from Los Moles via DoorDash, and they were so good that we decided to come in for lunch. Jose warmly greeted us on arrival. I ordered the chile relleno, and my husband ordered fajitas. Both were amazing. Hands down the BEST chile relleno I have ever had. I saw they had a brunch buffet on the weekends. Food is always fresh and cooked to order using great ingredients and organic options. Consistency is key and the Moles are proof of the recipes maintaining their integrity. The chicken Enmoladas with Habanero mole is my go to. Not only is the Mole delicious but the shredded chicken inside brings it's own levels of amazing flavor. House made tortillas for the win! The Carne Asada Tacos were also delicious, again with fresh tortillas and house made salsa, you can't go wrong.
