I think I had the best tortilla soup of my life here, cooked in a clay pot that's likely been stewing for years and that I'll never be able to recreate at home. Also, delighted to find huitlacoche quesadillas on the menu. These are the types of places that keep me coming back to Mexico.

I thought it was funny when I got the menu and the food menu was only one page while the drink menu was five pages. The outside of the restaurant is blue-ish and the restaurant has multiple rooms. It was a little thick and it had tiny seeds floating in it (sort of like strawberry seeds). I enjoyed it. We were asked if we wanted sopa (soup) or ensalada (salad). I got the soup and my boyfriend got the salad. The soup was a little oily and bland. It was red broth with bow tie noodles. I needed to add a lot of salt to it. The salad looked good. It had a lot of carrots on it. Also, it had coconut, which was unexpected. I'm glad that I got the soup though. For the entree, I got the pollo barbacoa and my boyfriend ordered the tacos. We were given four options to pick from. The sauce for the chicken was good and it also included rice and vegetables. For dessert, we were given a small plate with sliced carrots, raisins, and cream. It was super weird and not my thing. I don't like carrots though. My boyfriend thought it tasted like cake frosting.
