The prices were way less than I am used to in the northern Atlanta suburbs. Service was great. Must have checked on us 5 times and never had to ask for anything. Feel like the overall rating is pretty accurate for this place. Came in early on a Sunday morning when the place was just opening and they were ready to rock and roll. The service was great and our waiter was very friendly and attentive. He made sure we never ran out of chips and salsa or water. Pro-tip, if you like spicy, ask for the picante with your chips. The lunch menu is a little cheaper and pretty good deal for what you get. It's $1 more though on weekends for lunch menu. I tried the lunch special number 1 and opted for the chicken burrito, which comes with rice and beans on the side. I also ordered an horchata but they forgot about that and didn't bring it unfortunately. My friends ordered the chimichanga and another burrito and they both liked their meals. None of us could finish and took boxes to go. The menu is so sprawling at this place that I'm not sure I can really speak to the quality of a lot of their food but we had a good experience. If you're looking for a lighter lunch meal this may not be the best place for you but maybe I just need a nap now. read more

In this small quiet town of LaFayette I can recommend this Mexican restaurant as the best I had tried in the area. The place was clean as were the bathrooms. The service was prompt and polite. The food came with large portions and tasted fresh and delicious. I ordered tacos the way I prefer and the waiter complied with all the fresh ingredients that I like. Meals had very generous portions, which was great! However, the fajitas I ordered were mushy and not very flavorful. Tortillas are not homemade and were bland, store bought. The beans and rice were really good, though. And I recommend the chorizo queso dip. I've never been disappointed coming here. I was a regular back in the Don Lo Lo's days when it took over the old steak house building next to Sonic. Alex and Martha really have a good thing going on, and the overly Americanized Mexican cuisine is a hit with the locals. Any night of the week it's packed. While it's not my favorite Mexican food in the world, I'm willing to give the credit where it is due when it comes to transferring customers from one location to another and consistently keeping busy. Best restaurant in town. Only if you'd like to have prompt service, from very kind and attentive staff ...and the food is really good. I usually have the enchiladas or fajitas. They do have a 'Zully' section on the menu that is popular with kids that is a 'beef or chicken or shrimp with rice'. The 'Zully' name is from, I think a family member of theirs who preferred a plain rice dish. Cheese (Queso) dip is extra, however the complementary chips and salsa are usually on the table right after sitting down. read more

The best option (might I suggest the ONLY option) is the chips & salsa + yellowy cheese dip. This is a weird, crazed North Georgia aberration disguised as Mexican Food. And I thought I had it bad in Florida! I don't even know how to describe the quesadilla I received. It was more like a soft taco, which has been somehow crisped, then exploded the instant I tried to eat it. The innards melded with the runny refried bean soup and dried rice pellets on my plate to form a hybrid sentient life form of some kind. The kids bean burrito was a horror on a plate. It was a plate (full to the edge) of the aforementioned refried Bean soup with a flat, soaked tortilla in the middle. I have never before seen a bean burrito interpreted in such a way. I'll never forget it though, so it helped make my visit to Lafayette a memorable one! Every person at our table did not eat their food, and this was after driving 11 hours to the point of starvation. I would have eaten the leather off a shoe at this point. The cheese dip is basically velveeta level, but it enabled me to leave with food inside me and was edible! A plus was the salsa (I asked for the extra hot stuff and it was really good!) We ate chips, salsa, and cheese goo until we were full and called it a wash. read more

We've been eating at Los Guerreros since the opening 5 years ago, about 6-12 times every year. We've never had bad service or bad food. Alex and Martha moved to the area from Mexico about 15 years ago and have been an asset to the community since that time. My favorite dishes are Ambassador Dip (cheese/chorizo dip), fajitas, Shrimp Nachos. My husband typically likes the Specials. Always clean, always good, always friendly. We stopped in after a weekend camping for hot food on the way out of town. Service was kind and prompt. Our waiter was endearingly enthusiastic about the menu and specials. I ordered the stuffed poblanos with added chicken and a request for 'very little cheese'... unfortunately, the dish I was served was a lake of queso with two limp poblano rafts drowning in grease and regret. My chicken was pounded flat and grilled to the point of shoe leather. Way to tough to eat and very salty. I took my vegetables off and sent the chicken back. The next piece was just as tough as just as salty. I sent it back and just ate the vegetables. The waiter apologized, said he tasted my chicken and agreed that it was bad.
