We had the absolute worst service from Heather tonight. She was rude, disrespectful & downright hateful. After we mentioned to her that her service had been bad she rolled her eyes and went back to the kitchen and started talking bad about us. I know this because I'm hearing impaired and read her lips. Very good grilled nachos among other things. Good service and all around a pretty good restaurant.

I tried this and wow this is def my most disappointing the region. I was concerned shortly after we were seated. Although it was not very busy we waited 10 minutes for someone to take our drink orders. The young guy approached the table and mumbled something and we assumed he wanted to know what we wanted to drink. He didnt smile. He wasnt friendly. He served us the entire time we were there. This was our lucky day. We debated leaving because the place looked unclean and once the server made is feel as though he didnt want us being there but in the end we stayed and we regretted it in the end. The food was ok but again our server - and the other staff we oberved - we moping around the dining room like that hated their job. No one smiled. ever. There was never a sense of urgency or appreciation for our business. This was the worst restaurant experience I have had recently. The "El Trio" of servers was NOT impressive. read more

El trio has never disappointed me. I eat the carne asada tacos. The toppings are always fresh and crisp and unlike their competitor in my town the meat is flavorful and the food even though I take away is always presented beautifully. That shows they care about their customers. read more

El Trio has the worst service I have ever experienced and I am not one to turn down a taco. Do better people. I am very lenient when it comes to food service because I have worked in this industry myself. 0 stars!! I will never give my local business to any other than Los Charros again. The waitress started off with you don't want to order our beer our cooler sucks. Then it took at least 15 minutes to get drinks. We did not receive our cheese dip. The waitress literally asked us for our food order 3 times. The manager huffed at us and was visibly aggravated when we ordered salsa. I paid $30 for just me and was treated horribly. Recently El trio moved places and became more of a modern restaurant. I went for the first time today and didn't like it. I walk in and it's very small and squeezed together. Many dirty looks, mind you im black. Apparently they are supposed to wear you but when we were in the store we just got dirty looks and laughed at by workers. Left and went to a different on down the road. Don't recommend ! read more

I love this little gem! Interesting to see mixed reviews. Went tonight our server was excellent! They are usually very fast and the food is a great cheap Mexican style meal. We always order the cheese dip and my girlfriend gets the Mexican tacos and they are excellent. I love the crunchy beef tacos myself and the enchiladas. I usually get the combo #1 and leave the place satisfied and with a $15-20 bill which ain't bad! read more

Tried this place for lunch one day after church with a group of 5 people. It was a late lunch so there weren't too many people in the restaurant at the time. The waitress was very sweet and kind and got all of our orders correct and kept our drinks filled. The owner came by and visited our table and was exceptionally nice and caring. I ordered the combo dinner with two enchiladas and one taco with a side of rice and beans. It all tasted wonderful!! The only thing I didn't care for much was the salsa... it was very bland and we had to add salt and even then it wasn't that great. Great cuisine. Not your typical Tex/Méx - much better. House specials are similar to what I have had to eat in Mexico. The fresh made Guacamole Mexicano dip is fantastic. The best thing I can say about this place is that it was edible.... barely..... my family and I came here at 8:30 so it wasn't that busy but it took the waiter 15 min to get our drink order, completely skips my daughter, then when we FINALLY get our drinks another 15 min later he acted as if I had morally offended him for asking for hers. The salsa was so spicy you couldn't eat it and when I asked for cheese dip it tasted like plastic... well skip ahead and we get to order our food, half an hour later and it comes out. My "low Calorie" tortilla is basically a wheat tortilla drenched in grease. The chicken is dry and the rice is tasteless. My daughters taco was spicy to the point where she couldn't eat it, even the beans were spicy. The waiter never came back to ask how we were or refill our drinks. New waitresses were not trained very well. They forgot our chips and salsa then the cashier sort of dropped it on the table when we waved him down. They have always had the best chopped guacamole of anyone around. Chicken Azteca was dry and salty. I won't order that again. read more

I've eaten here a dozen times and it's great everytime. The Mexican tacos are my favorite but everything I've had has been good.

Oh man. The Salsa at this place was delicious. I probably ate my weight in chips and salsa and still ordered a meal, (the trio taco salad with chicken and topped with grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, and queso. It was a little salty, but the grilled veggies were delish.) Now back to the star: that salsa. Sho nuf delish. Tasty cilantro, a little heat, so flavorful. The chips were crisp and thick and tasted fresh. I had lunch with my husband and his extended family around 4 pm and I ate so much that I was still full by 10 pm. Their health rating was only a 90/100. When I'm in the south, I only like to eat at places with a rating above 95 (bc every point deducted is a health code violation), but I made an exception bc we were eating there in memorial of a loved one.
