Authentic and delicious! Love getting the deep fried tacos, Chile Relleno, or Enchiladas Mexicanas. So hard to decide!

By far the best Mexican food in Wheatland. Service was so friendly and attentive. I like to customize my orders and we got it just how we asked. My first question always is do you have spicy salsa and they did not disappoint. The ambiance was super comfortable and clean. The parking lot is always packed but now I know why. After eating some of the best food I've had since moving from Denver I was excited to hear they had "HOMEMADE" sopapillas. There were REAL! Not a chip covered in chocolate but instead we got a real fresh homemade deli sugary sopapillas. My new and ONLY favorite Mexican restaurant! 2-Smothered burritos, tostado, 2 drinks with refills and 4 sopapillas all for $40 before tax/gratuity. 100% worth every penny! read more

By far the best Mexican food I've had in Wheatland. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

I absolutely would recommend this place for a small town Mexican joint. The food is for the most part amazing. I really like most of the staff too, however I do have a complaint for the redheaded waiter, McKenzie I think her name is. She is very rude and doesn't say your welcome when thank you is said by a customer. She never tells us to enjoy our food and never comes back to check on us. We went here based on the recommendation of the front desk person at hotel when we stayed in Wheatland. She said the food was outstanding, but the feel of the place was Ok. Well, she was completely correct, and I'm not bothered by decor-- (unless I'm expecting some kind of white tablecloth place, but that's a different review...) The food here was very good and the service was fast and friendly. This is a family-run restaurant with the food and friendliness to match. This describes the service. Thirsty and hungry.... they need at least 2 people serving. The michilada was good, salsa is good, but the lady is overwhelmed. She has the whole place to herself and she doesn't have time to even welcome people! The building itself is obviously a former fast food joint. The floors are beautifully tiled. One bite of salsa and we realized it was something special. The salsa was medium-hot with spectacular flavor. Prices were considerably lower than the other local Mexican restaurant. My husband asked about the spice level on the green chili. The waitress replied it was low. Noting his disappointment, she offered to bring him Habanero sauce. Food was brought out on limited dishes. Though the portions were slightly smaller than what we are used to (we frequent the other place regularly but wanted a change) it was made up by the flavor and service. The Habanero sauce made my hubby sweat, which is hard to do with this spice fanatic. My fajitas had perfectly carmelized veggies and beef. Amazing flavor. When we left, the waitress offered a cup of salsa when she noticed how much we loved it. Pros: delicious food, good prices, excellent customer service Cons: silverware is mismatched, plates are older and some are chipped. The cafe is a clean brightly painted decor. We were started off with chips and salsa but ask for some beans for dipping as well. The serving are large and taste good. I will have to say the green chili although good was quite mild. The beans were the best. Very friendly staff. read more

Los Dominguez is one of the nicer places to eat in Wheatland. The food is fresh, delicious and authentic, while the service is generally quick and friendly. The servings are plentiful, and the menu is varied enough that you shouldn't have a problem picking something you'll like. The only drawbacks are that it can be busy at times (but that's what you should expect from a place of this caliber in a place like Wheatland) and the atmosphere isn't exactly indicative of high dining. If you're looking for tablecloths, or even something besides plastic booths and tables, this probably isn't the place for you. read more

Pretty bad to awful. First visit was almost decent. Guacamole was ok, Shrimp Diablo was odd and creamy but very hot, which I like. Beans were bland and runny, rice way over cooked, balnd and watery. Second visit was bad except chili relleno burrito was decent. Third visit was all bad and everything had a rancid grease overtone. A nice stop on the way to Glendo for biking. The tacos a la Mexicans were light and refreshing.

First time we came here we sat for 15 mins without a waitress to come ask for our drink or even give us menus. We got up and walked out due to no service and we came back today to give it one more chance and we have been waiting for our food for 25 mins now.... Best mexican food! Great service! We hadn't eaten there for a long time becasue we were not impressed. Since we tried it again in August 2011. We have eaten there no less than twice a week! This was just ok. The green chili was not spicy at all. The rest was fine but nothing special.

We went here on our way back to Colorado. It was very good. I wasn't a fan of the salsa, but my husband liked it. He ordered the carne asada tacos and they were yummy. The rice was delicious and the beans also. The ladies there were very nice. It is a family restaurant, they had the kids helping out which I loved. Great place if your ever in Wheatland. read more

Mexican restaurant which is presumably family run. Not sure if the other reviewers were there on off nights but we had prompt service and two people checked in with us several times, food was great. No loud music, and we'll absolutely be back. The decor is a little different. We'll definitely be back. read more
