We visit Thermopolis once or twice a year, and were wowed by this restaurant the first time we visited. Ample parking, an extensive menu of well prepared dishes, friendly service ... and terrific margaritas. We were puzzled, therefore, to drop in on a Saturday night well before closing, and find the restaurant nearly deserted, with just two other customers at a lone table. We ordered large margaritas and a nachos appetizer plate-- and the bill, before tax and tip, was more than $51. Even taking inflation into account, this is a price point that we simply cannot afford, so if we dine here again, we'll check out the lunch menu first, or order judiciously from the dinner menu. read more

Oh my goodness!! This was a great find for me!! Everything about this place was wonderful! The server who helped us was quick and so friendly and kind. The music was great, the place was clean and nice! The salsa was good and spicy! The rice, beans & carne asada were amazing! Visited at 2:30 on a Wednesday, so keep that in mind. The restaurant was not very busy at all. They were dog friendly on the covered patio, so we ate there. The service was attentive and super friendly. Being on the patio did not effect the service in any way. I ordered a Los Cabos margarita which was a bit pricey but tasty. We ordered the guacamole dip to go with the complimentary chips and salsa, also yummy. My partner ordered the Burrito Colorado (beef in red sauce), while I had the Huevos Rancheros (an egg dish). Both dishes came with beans and rice. The portions were large, seemed like authentic Mexican food and both tasted very good. There's a little bar lounge off to the side which looked cozy and like a cool place to have a drink in the evening (it wasn't open when we were there, I only peeked thru the window). I can't speak for the men's bathroom, but the women's bathroom was spotlessly, immaculately clean. That's always a good sign. Overall , it was a very good experience. We're glad we stumbled upon this restaurant. We would definitely visit again and would recommend to others. read more

Food was quite expensive and their sauce has NO spice at all and was VERY salty. They might as well have poured beef gravy over my enchiladas.....that's what the sauce seemed like. The cheese inside my cheese enchilada wasn't even melted and the ground beef was super salty too! Service was quick, though, and staff was friendly. Their margaritas taste like their straight out of a bottle of pre-prepared ones. I was here about a year ago and it was much better, although super-gringo then too! I miss Las Fuentes!!!! read more

This place could be easy to pass up, but I beleive it's the only resturant that serves Mexican cuisine. The place on the outside has dinosaur statues. I had Ivan as a server, he was very fast and friendly, house made nachos and salsa delivered to the table by a very friendly woman with a big smile, I felt welcomed right away. Carne Asada Y Mas was the main course,a skirt steak cooked on the grill, it came with rice and beans, and a beef Tamale, the steak was not over cooked, a beautiful medium rare and tasted like it was cooked on the grill. The tamale was ok, I prefer chicken and not covered in sauce, the rice and beans were standard, nothing special, the rice a little dry. The othe plate in the.picture is Al.Pasor tacos, house made tortillas, a little over cooked, thin and greasy, the pork was not a pulled pork, but a barbecue pork. Over all I would recommend coming here, Ivan has told me they have been here for 9 months, so being new I would try them again, I wouldn't recommend the tacos, but the Carne Asada was good. read more

Food is decent but their customer service has progressively gotten worse. A previous visit, I ordered to go and the cashier had a major attitude, scoffing and huffing because I didn't leave him a tip for handing me a bag of food. Then today, I called to place an order, staff stopped halfway through taking my order and without so much as saying please hold or one second, set the phone down, could hear them taking other orders in the background. Restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel manager and we decided to take a chance. We were very pleasantly surprised with the quality and quantity of the food and the amount of meat in our combination plate, also with the quick service. Didn't get pics before eating-sorry. Family had shrimp wrapped in bacon with cheese, veggies and all the fixings. I had a Chile rellano -Wowawesome. But the margarita is huge and awesome-not watered down and had appropriate tequila! Highly recommend!! read more

For being a place in far away Thermopolis, Wyoming, I'd say this place deserves a 5-star rating! We were traveling through and needed to stop for food. We found this little gem and got a couple of burritos to go. First, they went the extra mile with two special orders. We needed to get only white cheese on one of the burritos, and then we asked for a little extra spice in the salsa. They said they normally use a pre-made yellow and white cheese mixture, but they would grate just some white cheese for us. I've been to some places that just say, "sorry, we only have X." When we got our to-go burritos they came in a very convenient cardboard and aluminum container that was very convenient and easy to open and eat from in the car. Not only that but they came with beans and rice. I was totally expecting a couple of simple bean and cheese burritos. The place was also VERY clean and spacious. I also used the restroom and it was also immaculate, and everything worked properly. I would definitely go here again! read more
