We walked in and immediately got greeted and sat at the open seating bar. The bartenders were very friendly and attentive. We got some of the best warm salsa and the chips were fresh. Got the spicy tamales appetizer and before I could get a picture my boyfriend started chowing down. Hands down the best tamales I've ever had. We then shared the Cabo Wabo platter with a little of everything and came with 2 beans and rice plates. The platter is huge. Definitely will be going back there when in town. Absolutely amazing. While my wife and I were in Tulsa to visit the family. It would decided that we would stop at Los Cabos for a couple reasons my family loves Mexican food and they were the only restaurant that would accommodate our reservation of 16. Because the group was so large when we arrived we did have to wait approximately 5 to 10 minutes. Once we were seated we were promptly met by our server and he began to take our drink order. My wife and I both had the Cranberry Margarita. I chose for mine to be on the rocks she chose for hers to be frozen. The Margarita was full of flavor and you could definitely taste the cranberry in the Margarita and it was not overpowering but it gave a nice tartness to Margarita. (I wish I added an extra shot of tequila) For my entree I had the Cabo Grande platter which consisted of One Fajita Chicken Enchilada, One Cheese Enchilada, One Crispy Beef Taco & A Chicken Tamale with Rice & Black Beans. You did have a choice of Baracho beans and refried beans. The flavor was everything you expected though the spice was not overwhelming it had just where you could taste and mildly feel the heat. This is definitely something that I would order again when we return later this year. But since I like variety so I'll probably try something new, and I'm sure it will be fantastic. And for a BONUS the LAST Picture was an off the menu item of a steak chimichanga that my son had ordered. Bland Mexican food is nearly an oxymoron, and yet this is the case. No zing in anything, not even the salsa. Sad, because everything looks as though it is cooked well; just nothing to savor. We talked off this meal with flan and it, too, was disappointing: gummy, but no hint of the caramelization that makes flan special. Service was top-notch. Our wait staff was both friendly and efficient. I want to start by saying the Los Cabos in Independence, MO has been our favorite Mexican restaurant for the last few years. We've loved it and would eat there weekly. Truly enjoyed the patio and food and service up until this year. I am not sure if there is new management but there needs to be a change before you start losing even more customers. The place has gone down hill so much everytime we've been there this year. Today being cinco de Mayo we wanted to go and we will likely never step foot in there again. Which is unfortunate since I have referred so many people here over the years, now I feel like I need to apologize to them all. I am so disappointed in what is seeming to be a continuous downfall. Here are some examples: 1. Every bathroom sink out of soap 2. Kids food came out wrong (rice instead of fries), server took entire plate back and came back with a new plate and fries but the rice from the previous plate was still stuck all over the taco. 3. Kids food came out 20 minutes before my husband and I food came out. 4. Bartender needs fired, the drinks did not taste good. 5. The servers were wearing short shorts and had tattoos on their legs and pink/green hair dye in the hair.... Just looked trashy. 6. Wasn't allowed to move an umbrella from a vacant table to my table when it was sprinkling out. 7. So many employees standing around, eating, touching their lips and mouth. 8. Band was supposed to start at 5:30, finally started right at 7:00. 9. There's so much more but the disappointment is clearly here. Please do yourselves a huge favor and get better management in there to straighten things out and turn things around. This place could be so amazing if ran better. If it keeps going like this it will no doubt be closing its doors soon or filled with crowds that you will need to staff police. Mark my words. read more

This place is located in jenks right near the river walk. We met my dad and stepmom here for lunch and had a very pleasant experience. They have a decent sized covered patio and typically a lot of more outdoor seating with bar stools and table tops i noticed. However we got seated inside because outside was full. We got service right away and the complimentary chips and salsa was served asap. Their menu was large and offered plenty there's everything here for someone even the kids meals options are either Mexican or american. I got the shrimp quesadillas they were good lots of shrimp and not a ton of grease which are my favorite kind! We ordered Sopapillas and they were absolutely delicious! They were bite sized literally and melted in your mouth even without the honey! I noticed several people getting the salads and they looked amazing and huge! We always, ALWAYS have a great time here...The service from Corinna is great, the food is delicious - and the Friday night outdoor entertainment sets the oh-so-cool vibe to row into your weekend. The 2-person Fiesta Plate was outstanding, and the tilapia plate with added shrimp was a third time order and is consistently perfect. I typically go to Los Cabos at least once a week. This last week I ordered shrimp fajitas. They use to serve good size shrimp with this dish. The shrimp now looks like popcorn shrimp. I had to send it back because the vegetable were not cooked long enough. Instead of just cooking the vegetables they cooked the shrimp even longer which really dried it out. read more

One would order the food at the register (which the lady was very nice to us), then grab a seat and wait for the meal. We got our own drinks, silverware and even grabbed our own Togo boxes. Hung out in the corner bar area before Friday Night Lights at Jenks Trimble Stadium. The bartenders were friendly, quick with a drink refill and food came out quickly. Well, the highlight of this place was the Mi cheladas!!! Those where so amazing had a few they where so good. The atmosphere was really great and our waiter/bartender Matt was on point. He was on top of it. But as far as the food it was the worst Mexican/Tex mex, I have ever had. It was so saturated with cumin it was awful. I had the tamales with some meat sauce which was not good at all. When you eat tamales you want lots of meat and less masa. But hey I'm in Oklahoma what can I expect for Mexican food. I would not suggest this place but it is a very busy busy place. Unless you know real Mexican food you won't go here. The cinnamon/cumin is not for me. I hate to be a fanboy, but I always love my dining at Los Cabos! I'll never forget my doubt on their fiesta platter when I first moved to Tulsa. They told me they had the best steak fajitas and ribs that fall to pieces, and I basically laughed at them. Well, this Texan was humbled. The meat was amazing! The ribs fall to pieces, agreed, and I love them, but what makes this place great is everything is delicious! There are things I like better than others, but the food is always good even if you don't normally order that dish (I always order the same thing no matter where I go except for Los Casbos- The Fiesta Platter). The atmosphere is awesome at either location, service is good, but I prefer being at Riverside. Also, don't be shy about being seated outside and enjoying the music anymore because the menu is no longer limited outdoors! read more

While visiting Tulsa my wife and I decided to eat at Los Cabo's in Jenks. We have eaten there before and enjoyed the atmosphere and food. I decided to order a dish that I have eaten before. It was the Del Rio. Diner went fine and the food tasted normal until an hour so later at our Bed and breakfast inn; I was cramping with frequent trips to the bathroom. My wife says my breath was pungent from the diner. Appears that brushing teeth and mints didn't help a bit. That was Saturday evening and as I write it's Monday and I still done feel normal. Had to miss work. Today my wife called the restaurant to inform the manager of my getting sick on the meal I ate. My wife requested a refund on the meal, should it only be for my meal. The manager said she would call back, but never did. So, appears they don't care about their customers and unless you want to have "montezuma's revenge" might want to consider a different restaurant choice. read more

We're still big fans. I've had about half the menu. Great guac, great queso, great fajita steak. Great "Mexican" classic cocktails. Though I think a couple of our favorite servers have moved on-- overall the service remains excellent here. The plight of the Riverwalk may have slowed down their business over the years. But this place is still the jewel of the Arkansas. Consistently delivers quality food & service at fair prices. We were seated immediately and the restaurant was busy. Our waiter was great and very attentive. We ordered a couple drinks including a strawberry daiquiri and a Dos Equis. My daiquiri wasn't as frozen as I like but still tasted yummy. For dinner we had steak and shrimp fajitas and my son had the kids quesadilla. My son ended up with a different quesadilla and side than we ordered but he didn't care. Yesssss.... This place is a must visit. So after a baseball tournament and soccer tournament...the family stopped in here... maybe the best decision of the day. I walked in and inquired about a wait time for my family of 14... Megan and her team said we can do it now...shocked. That was the start of the fantastic experience. I have 6 niece's and nephews and there was 8 adults. Mariah our server had everything out in a timely manner and the drinks never got low. Our chip consumption was super high and Mariah and her assistants kept the chips and salsa coming. Food was tasty and accurate and I have zero complaints about our visit. I met with management to inform them to bring me the final bill for all our family members and they made it happen. I was very pleased that the bill came out correct and no gratuity included charge for more than certain number of people. Either way I left a decent tip. Excellent upscale Mexican located on the scenic Ark River in Jenks. Great selection of TeX Max platters, Fajitas, plus wide selection of seafood , chicken and beef main courses. Chips were very fresh and crisp with two excellent red sauces. We had the guacamole starter and my wife had chicken enchilada platter with refried beans and Spanish rice. I had the Cabo Platter with chicken enchilada, cheese enchilada , chicken tamale and beef taco. I also had the charro beans and Spanish rice. My daughter and grandsons also had speciality platter all very well prepared hot and tasty. They have a full bar and live music almost every night . We caught one of the cooler summer nights and enjoyed setting under fans on the patio listen to a excellent singer guitar player . Service was fast and accurate and pricing was very affordable for this dining experience. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.
