SCAMMERS I would give this RV park zero stars if I could. They advertise themselves like some kind of luxury "resort," but don't let the marketing fool you, it's nothing more than a bad advertisement. The pictures and promises do not match reality at all. It's overpriced, poorly managed, and completely unprofessional. The worst part? They have NOT returned my deposit. I moved out on November 1st. Today is February 25, 2026 -- almost FOUR MONTHS later -- and I am still waiting for my money. I have called multiple times. Every single time I'm told the same thing: "we had some problems with the system, You'll have it in the next two days." Apparently, "two days" means months to them. It's excuse after excuse with no accountability. On top of that, there are aggressive unleashed dogs running around the property. My dog was attacked on multiple occasions because management does not enforce leash rules. It's unsafe and irresponsible. As a pet owner, I should not have to worry about my dog being harmed just walking around the park. Don't surprise if you see police inside the park daily because is a few people inside they can't control themselves and is very common people appropriating what belongs to others. If they can't handle something as basic as returning a deposit or enforcing basic safety rules, how are they running a "resort"? Save yourself the stress, the endless phone calls, and the disappointment. There are plenty of RV parks that actually honor their agreements, enforce rules, and treat guests with respect. This place does not. I'm still waiting for a solution and my money. read more

I am moving out of LA RV Resort because this place has turned into a nightmare. Since Brandon, the new owner, took over, the environment has become hostile, stressful, and completely toxic. Every single day feels like harassment letters taped to doors nonstop, new demands constantly, and residents being treated like children instead of human beings. It doesn't feel like a resort or a community anymore. It feels like living under a dictatorship where you're always waiting for the next threat or reprimand. What finally pushed me over the edge was witnessing Brandon publicly humiliate a guest I personally know to be an amazing human being someone who pays his rent on time, respects others, and takes pride in his home. Brandon had the nerve to tell him that he and his home "look like a junkyard." Watching someone who doesn't deserve that kind of treatment be torn down like that made me sick. No decent person should be spoken to that way. Every interaction with Brandon is uncomfortable and upsetting. He is rude, unprofessional, and frankly disgusting to be around he literally smells like poop, which somehow matches the way he treats people. There is no kindness, no respect, no leadership here just intimidation and control. This place broke my spirit. What was once home now feels like a prison where residents live in fear of being shamed or targeted. I would never recommend LA RV Resort to anyone. Save yourself the emotional stress and stay far away. read more

I had an extremely uncomfortable experience at the front office. The young Asian guy staff member I interacted with was rude, dismissive, and made me feel judged from the moment I walked in. Idk if it was because I'm Hispanic or if he just hated me. He hovered around me constantly outside watching my every move, which felt intrusive and unsettling rather than helpful. I felt like he was going to ask to see my papers, because he was looking so hard. I was seriously considering booking cabins for my 10th anniversary, but the way I was treated made me feel unwelcome and looked down on, as if I couldn't afford to be there. I'm not low income like most customers of an rv park are. Me and my family love the outdoors and i wanted to surprise my marido with this. No customer should ever be made to feel that way. I plan to write a longer review after we have contacted the city. this is the worst park. it's dirty and run down and the people who run it lie and don't meet the standards when fixing electricity causing trailers to catch fire and blowing out electrical. it used to be KOA but the owner Mr Han didn't want to meet regulations. there was a murder there week of July 4th 2025. meth heads and more. they pop your tires and steal your starlink cuz they think they can sell for drugs. they were supposed to give us a refund and kept having lie after lie about that and never did. we had no power and they dug a hole right in front of our space leaving garbage and no cones. we watched the own do the electrical hisself. he's cheap. it was not copper and only placed a foot down. everything about this dirty park is bad. Don't go there. I have photos and videos. One lady came over and said her trailer is on fire and he laughed and turned his back on her. read more

Was out on a trail run from Vasquez Rocks over to Soledad Canyon Road. Stopped by LA RV Resort for some water and found they had a nice little store . I didn't have any cash so Charlotte aloud me to PayPal her some funds so I could get a Coke, Gatorade and snacks for the run back to Vasquez Rocks. I have been to this place a few times, and I always had the best time. I don't understand why people gave some bad reviews. I uploaded pictures I took a few days ago and hope these help newcomers before they decide. First, the direction to come to the site is very easy and clear. Only 1 hr from the LA/Orange County area, and you will be already in nature. Staff members are extraordinary nice and kind (they even walk with you to show your site and explain everything in detail. All camping sites are clean and quiet. The best thing is close to the bathroom. 24/7 clean! A little shop is on site. Very safe to stay. Various birdies. Great view. Start to End 5 stars. read more

DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT COME HERE.! This place is a dump, and what they show on their website is a complete lie! It used to be a nice KOA years ago, but it's not anymore, and it's obviously gone way down hill since then. There's no activities for the kids like they advertise, there's no green grass anywhere like their pictures show, and everything else seems to be falling apart. The bathrooms have a slight slope in them as if they're about to collapse at any moment. Same with what's left of the playground equipment. Also, don't plan on having any internet or phone service while there because the WIFI is garbage. We stayed in the cold pool most of the day because there was nothing else to do. They have two spas, but of course they don't work. We kept asking about them during our stay and they lied to us saying they were heating up. Yet, somehow they were cooling them down to what felt like 40 degrees (no joke). During our 3 days there, they never got above 50. It seems like 75% of the campground is occupied by people who live there. It's not a place you want to go camping at. There's a reason why their cancellation/refund policy is so strict, because everybody wants to either cancel or get their money back. ****Beware*** Warning Power outages due to electrical issues Mr. Justin Hahn is the owner and will not fix the issues. He has been told by city and fined but still nothing is being done .My husband and our family checked in February 24,2024 we started having electrical issues in April . Mr. Justin Hahn was aware of the issues for three months and did nothing to fix the issues . June my husband and I came home from work early that day well to our surprise we had no electricity so I was pissed my dogs where home and it was in triple digits that day . I go to office the ladies in there already know I'm not happy I tell them what's going on Mr. Justin Hahn says move them workers tell him that's not going to fix the problem it's surging it's his park he don't want to hear the truth or deal with issues ,so he tells them to move us to the bigger stop on a different breaker .We move power goes out again while we are gone and we come home again electric off it comes back on and starts a fire in my control box thank god we had a Rv tech out and they found it fast before it spread . Rv tech told us we were lucky because we cut breaker off and it was in a box . We go up to office Mr. Justin Hahn says if it ain't at the pole it ain't my problem No sir it is your problem everyone been having electrical issues for year and it has messed up peoples campers and Owner want them to clam it on insurance for your parks fault . Well long story short we had to replace our control box and our converter 800 dollars later this man got his employee to come on there day off to tell us we can't pay our rent tomorrow he wants us out of his park because we complain to much ! I had a great time here with some family during this last Father's Day weekend. We probably split 3 or 4 site between our group on the top camp site right across from the pool area. The camp has grills (charcoal, no wood fire allowed), a swimming pool, basketball court, & a market/store right next to the check in area. Besides the sites where you set up your own tent, they have TPs to rent that I believe have a mattress, and they also have cabins to rent. We also found a hiking trail on the other side of the train tracks behind the camp site. I'm not sure if they encourage guest wondering off the site, but it wasn't that far off so we took the adventurous trip to the other side. This camp site kind of reminded me of a weekend summer came that you go to as a kid. You're not truly in the great outdoor roughing it, but you're kind of out far enough where your cell phone doesn't have internet reception (they do have free WiFi here) so you can kick back & enjoy nature while you're really only 7 ish miles away from the freeway & nearest town. read more

We've been coming here for over a year every few weeks and I've never had a bad experience like today. This lady her name is Rene she is the epitome of bad customer service her attitude was disgusting and unnecessary. Everyone else is always welcoming and always a pleasure to see. I hope and pray I don't have to deal with her again. She lied about our reserved spot being occupied and when I told her I went to check and it wasn't occupied she was even more rude. This broad has no business checking people in she's going to give this place a worse reputation than it already has. I'm a PCT hiker. After a family staying in an RV cooked us a huge meal for free (the so-called "trail magic"), the campground's owner ran in, started recording video, and threatened to call the police. He assumed that family was running some kind of business on his premises. When all 15 of us told him that wasn't the case, he started harassing a female hiker because she had run into the campground and climbed over the fence because she was so dehydrated. (She had a valid reservation, but she was in tears by the time he finally left her alone.) Do not give that monster your money. Please consider staying elsewhere. Just got back home after staying a couple nights camping at this location.....there were a lot of Negative reviews that have been posted on this place and I understand them all....but speaking from my experience and the group I was with we were overall happy with what we got here. *STAR REVIEW 3.85 stars out of 5* This is no 5 star camp site, some reviews I read complained about the amount of dirt in the location (thought they were kidding) but no joke the dirt was real but nothing to drop a review down to 1 star. Staff was friendly and willing and more than ready to help when there was a camper who went missing. Overall the location was maintained and cleaned, bathrooms were surprisingly cleaner than I imagined from some of the other negative post I read. Don't get me wrong this site needs some TLC and it could be great, a little more green grass around would be more inviting and have less of a rundown camp vibe. A lot of the negative I could say has to do more with the other people at the site and their lack of respect for the camp grounds. read more

I have been a customer with my family for many years and have always enjoyed our time here. There have always been some issue but that has never stopped us from having a great time. We were promised a hot tub in our experience for renting a cabin on their grounds. From our arrival, we were already experiencing issues. The hot tub wasn't clean or ready for use. We were charged a deposit that wasn't made aware to us when we made the first payment. We were told that they were pet friendly just to find out the reason our deposit wasn't returned was because we had our pet with us. The beds were in terrible condition and there were not enough blankets for the beds they were providing. It's so unfortunate that we have to stop going here because of such a small issue. Overall I recommend you go here ready to be disappointed. read more

This place is a dive. Bathroom floors are so soft, that at any moment someone will fall thru. Mold all over bath walls. Electricity is very bad and shows low voltage all the time. Pool can't be kept clean Well has been tagged for unsafe water. They said don't use it for anything. Kids park swing is just about to break. This was my first time camping ever in my life so I was really looking forward to a nice night camping with my girlfriend. We arrived at the campsite maybe 30mins before they stop checking people in. When I got out to check in the gentleman who met me outside really seemed irritated that it was kind of late. He gave me a map and told me where our campsite for the night will be. Oh and we had got the vip site. Which is supposed to include lights and a fire ring. None of which was provided. The lights they had was trash pretty much. It was barely brighter then a flashlight with low battery power. We had our own sink next to the campsite but another camper ran a water hose from our sink to his rv so we pretty much used one sink that night. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. Floors was messed up and there was piss all over the floor. The next morning I addressed my concerns with a young lady in the office and she said they were supposed to bring us a fire ring and she said the owner would call us later that day and would refund us. The owner never called so when I did I guess a manager said he would have the owner call on Monday, it's now Wednesday and I still haven't received that phone call or refund. Like soooo many others have said this place has so much potential but due to lack of caring from owner or whoever runs this place it looks like its seen better days .. i can honestly say that the staff and people who work there are super helpful and friendly and dave and amanda were great .. but what really bothers me is that i paid a premium price for a subpar experience .. $100 a night ... dont be fooled by the pics on the internet the place does not look like thAt in person , like i said it has tons of potential but boy it really needs some lovin .. views around campsites are great and its surrounded by mountains and beauty but due to neglect thats about all thats beautiful . Wanted to get away and not go to far, decided to book here at KOA and give it a try. Ratings and reviews made me a bit scared but gave it a try anyway. Service - Amazing service from all the staff and couldn't have expected anymore from them. At first we forgot to get something from the store and didn't want to unhook the R.V. One of the employees radioed a employee that was off work to give us a ride, and he drove us to the local store in Acton to grab the stuff we needed. He was very nice and informative and willing to go out of his way to help. During our stay I had a nail on my tire and another staff member gave me his last patch kit, brought a air compressor, and I was able to repair my tire with all the tools needed. Staff at the store was very nice and always had a smile willing to help. Campground - Place is kept up to the point that makes the trip enjoyable with a lot of activities. They could remodel a lot of things to make it nicer, but they do what they can. Pool - The pool is a good size but can get crowded on a hot day, it kept me from going in as it was a bit crowded. Not the establishments fault, but they could also use a bit more seating. R.V. Sites - I had a full hook up slot that was clean, no issues with hookups, table was clean, intact , and I had shade. Kids playground - Its small but enough to keep the kids happy and it could definitely use some shade. Overall experience here was good as we all had a relaxing and fun weekend. Staff was amazing, very helpful and the main reason for a 5 star rating. read more

This place was so bad! We went for the pool and they told us that it was getting fixed. They lied to us, it was the county that shut it down cause they didn't even clean the pool. There is a lady that was so rude and lied saying they didn't have AC in the lounge room, Only one of them was nice and offered to turn on the AC for us during her shift after the first lady left. . It was so nasty in the shower had so many bugs because it wasn't cleaned before, no toilet paper or soap. My friend was showing and a roach come out of no where. I am writing about my experience as an RV camper only. I do not have any feedback on the cabins or tee pees. I want to start off by saying that that entire staff was really great. They did their best to be accommodating and helped whenever we requested it. All three people we interacted with were great. We stayed over Memorial weekend and had a fairly large family group that took up four (4) RV spaces. Since we had never stayed here before, we were surprised to see how narrow the RV sites were. We were literally touching RV awning to RV slide at some sites. In addition, the sites are littered with gopher (or other) holes that made several places dangerous. I saw a young lady walking by and step in a hole that collapsed and she injured her ankle when her foot disappeared into the earth. Upon our arrival, we noticed there was someone occupying our designated site. The staff went down to address the situation, but it took nearly 2.5 hours for this person to move out of the site, which we later found out they were not supposed to be at in the first place. Not a good start to our weekend. The staff offered to move us, but that would have meant separating from the group. The worst part of our experience was the backed-up sewer at a campsite 2 sites away. Although it was unoccupied, the smell was horrible. I asked the maintenance man to take a look and he did immediately. He spent nearly 3 hours working on it. However, the next evening, we noticed it backing up now in 2 of our campsites. We had to remove all of our camping gear in 2 sites to avoid it being covered in raw sewage. It was after hours, so there was no one on site except for the security officer. I spoke with him and he said he knew someone that might be able to help. There was a long term camper a few sites away from us that happened to be a plumber by trade. The security officer asked if he could help clear the lines. Luckily he did agree to help and after 2 hours of snaking the lines, he was able to get it clear. He really saved the day for us! The staff came by the next morning to check on us, which we appreciated and I told them that they needed to take care of that gentleman that came to our rescue the night before. We did not have any issues after that. Overall, it was great to get out of the house and spend some time in the outdoors with family. The trains that go by during the day are no big deal...they are small MetroLink trains and although they blare their horns unnecessarily (it seems)...they didn't really bother me. However, the large cargo train that comes through at 3-3:30 am each morning is incredibly loud and long (almost 5 minutes). No way you are sleeping through that. And...I did not hear any lion roars like others have said. I loved the croaking frogs at night in the river behind our campsites. Lots of bugs around sunset, but they seem to go away after about two hours. Nice breeze most days, which kept us cool in the shade. Very limited shade in the sites we were in (64-67). Also, keep an eye out for snakes. We saw at least 3 gopher snakes in the campground. The maintenance man caught and removed 2 of them. read more

Booked this specific KOA to hike on the famous Pacific Crest Trail. What was a pleasant surprise was you can access the PCT directly from the campground! The road to this campground is winding and the right turn in comes up pretty fast, and is also at a pretty good right angle and then down a ramp. Not much clear parking at the bottom to register at the main office, but there was luckily nobody else waiting in front or behind me. This is definitely a bit of a more sparse KOA, pretty old school. If you're used to really glamping KOA's, you may be disappointed. I enjoyed it's more rustic approach. The campsite was easy to find. I got a "Full hookup pull-through" as usual, $71 night, and was happy to see that my site had a beautiful view of the mountains and was DIRECTLY adjacent to the trail that takes you to the PCT! So that was really fortunate! The sites are gravel and pretty level. The campground is easy to navigate, although not suuuper wide at spots, which can be really tricky when towing a trailer. Also, the route out passes under some trees, which for some reason two vans were parked on the shoulder forcing me to drive under them this morning. Luckily my A/C unit didn't get ripped off the top. This was the only KOA ironically I've tried and gotten the wifi to work. It worked fine for checking email and Yelp. The store had some basic items, the sparsest selection of other KOA's I've been to. And weirdly, NO chocolate candy bars! The staff were all excellent, friendly, helpful, and informative about our questions about access to the PCT. The showers/restrooms were clean and orderly. I didn't use the showers so can't vouch for them. My FAVORITE feature to this park, however, is the fact that there is a FRICKEN LION PRESERVE next door!!!! The Shambala Preserve. It was SO neat to hear lions roaring in the morning and evening!!! And comical too, when one of the staff said one time they forgot to inform one of the tent campers who heard the lions and quickly packed up and left. HAHAHA! This is definitely not one of the fanciest KOA's, but it's location nestled in the mountains, proximity to LOTS of attractions and hikes, cleanliness, happy helpful employees, make me recommend this KOA for a more "Back to Nature" experience. There is a train you can take to Los Angeles nearby, too. Leaving the campground, you're on an uphill, with poor visibility of oncoming traffic on the passenger side. Careful with that. Not a ton of easy in/easy out gas stations for RVs or Trailers nearby, TIPS for if you're interested in using this to do some hiking on the PCT: We only went North, which takes you on a moderately strenuous hike through the mountains, towards Vasquez Rocks. The trail is DIRECTLY accessible from the campground, and its noted on the map. I planned my hike according to sunset to sundown. The hike north to Vasquez Rocks was 13.7 miles round trip, and took us from 7am to 3:30pm, with about a half hour lunch at Vasquez Rocks. The trail is mostly loose gravel and is narrow and there are a couple spots where you *could* tumble down a ravine, but more than likely you'll be fine. We encountered many horses and riders on the trail, mostly on the opposite side of the Highway 14. (Vasquez Rocks) The trail is really obvious, but there are also many other trails that connect and go other routes. Just stay on the one that looks the most used. Wear the sunscreen and all that precautionary stuff and have a fun! read more

I love this place! It's come to feel like home to me and it makes me sad to see the reviewers that advise readers to not visit. Yes, there is a lot of dirt around the campground because it is a CAMPGROUND, and it does suck that there is no cell service and that the wifi can be good or bad at any given time but again this is camping! I've been at this location twice now, last year and this year, for the carshow and stayed the weekend. I've come up with my Girlfriend and her Family. It's a great close-by getaway. I would say it is a definite "Gotta Drive and Camp There!". It has Dry Camping and Hook-Ups, and area for tent camping. It's got a fenced pool, jacuzzi, playground for kids, and restrooms. The staff are all very friendly and courteous. The place is kept very neat. My only recommendations would be: 1) Fix the pay phone as most cell phones don't get reception, and your wifi doesn't extend pass your merchant store. 2) Install wifi extenders to extend the area of camping. read more

Nothing like their website, campers beware!! The staff was nice enough and helpful however the lack of maintenance and overall mood of this campground was unexpected for a KOA site. The RV sites are very cramped and mixed with "full timers". Be prepared to be camping in dirt, I mean like being in the desert kinda dirt. The grounds were awful too. Looked like their irrigation system has multiple leaks so they have a system of portable sprinklers to bypass the broken one (doesn't work 80% of the grass was dead). The trees near the office were nice, very cool path between old growth trees. As for the RV parking hope you like dirt because that is where you get to camp. A giant dirt area, very dusty. They seem to be more of a tent / backpacker camp ground . Their printed camp map and web site map is not accurate as well. I have a large dog and was happy to see that there was a dog park, only to find it full of dog doo and some kind of leaking pipe in the middle of it making a swamp. It was nasty. Everywhere I walked there was dog poop, I don't think anyone picked up after their dogs. The web site and park map showed a nice gazebo, looked nice until i realized it had become a place for the multiple hikers that drift through the park to use as a place to change their clothes and squat for the night. The playground was full of weeds, all the game areas were in shambles and overgrown (looks like a couple of years with zero maintenance). Was very disappointed as the whole point of going to KOA's for our family are the activities and family friendly places in their parks. The pool was freezing, full of floating gunk, and slimy on the bottom. They did seem to have enough chairs and such though. I could go on and on, just felt compelled to write this review (first review ever from me, can't stand negative rants). I wish I would have known before I booked because I would have went to the Ventura KOA or somewhere else. read more

We traveled from Wisconsin to California, and the only way I could afford to do this with my family was tent camping due to the price. Google gave this place a decent review and I looked forward to it for months. When we first arrived we checked in and found that our campsite was already occupied, despite me reserving it months ago. They put me up in another section though, but didn't seem really concerned that my campsite was already taken. But I can't completely fault the other camper because there was virtually no site markings to distinguish. Very weird. We then found out that our new tent site had no picnic table. I was promised by the staff that maintenance would move over one for me, but they never came. I ended up having my 8 & 5 year old kids help me move it due to a back injury. I had to pack up my family and leave after the second night for numerous reasons. The main reason was the noise. Between the train and lions roaring, my wife couldn't get any sleep. The first night we had a family beside us that kept us up for an hour past quiet time playing loud mariachi music. Finally management quieted down down, but they randomly cranked it up and were generally loud otherwise. The second reason was that the facility was nasty. The campsite had ants all over, and holes all over the ground that both my wife and I tripped over. The pool was dirty, but also freezing cold. Colder than Wisconsin pools, which was very dissatisfying. The main section we were at and much of the campsite is dirt. I am not familiar with California and didn't realize this. Every time we had to leave the tent and come back, we were caked with dirt. Gotta leave your tent at night to take a leak, or to walk the kiddos to pee, then expect to slip into your sleeping bag covered with dirt. Not fun for 6 days. Finally the bathrooms were dirty and small, there was no drinking water anywhere, and the laundry and washing facilities were dirty. The whole park just felt neglected. I gave up after the second night and packed up. I brought my concerns to the front desk's attention. I told them I had broke down and was forced to tap into my family savings and book a hotel to try to salvage an already expensive vacation, and asked to get refunded for the rest of my stay because the issues were not my fault. I was told I couldn't be reimbursed, despite the fact that the tent camping section was virtually empty. I promised the staff there that I'd make sure to share my experience online. This was my first time staying here. I'm an avid hiker and wanted to get away for the weekend. I rented Cabin #4. It was adorable, and clean with all the amenities. Great shower with hot water, microwave, refrigerator, kitchen sink, toaster, and coffee pot. The setting was secluded from any city life even though the trains run through on a regular basis. That didn't bother me. My only problem was that upon my early checkout, there was no drop off box for the key. I had to leave it on the table without being able to lock the deadbolt. read more

"This location looks like it was either inherited, and needs to be fixed up, or has been part of the KOA group for a while and been neglected". Everything was out of order. Our water supply looked like it could break at any moment. It had evidence of leaking for quite some time. Full-timers living in the park weren't keeping their RVs up and made the place look even dumpier than it already was. The train was noisy, but neither of the two nights we stayed (out of 3 reserved) the quiet hours were not enforced. Loud music and partying going on. read more

This KOA (Acton Los Angeles) was awful and that is being generous. I understand that one has to pay a deposit to hold a spot. However, on the website it says it is non-refundable no matter what. Never mind the fact that this KOA is very misleading with their images shown on the website, is very run down and portrays itself as a KOA other than what it really is. A run down dump with no internet access, no wifi and no cell service. How can one book online and expect to trust this kind of establishment anymore? The reputation of standards was ruined by KOA and my expectations were ruined. I even called corporate after paying for 4 days and not ending up staying there in hopes that the corporate office would step in and they did not. Do NOT waste your money on this place. You will lose it. The bathrooms are gross, the garbage cans are filled and over flowing and staff are supposed to start at 0900 in the morning to help and they aren't there. Reminder: Beware of this establishment and ownership! You won't get a refund at all! The pictures posted by the owner are definitely old and misleading. It's a dump! read more
