Delicious beef empanada, complete with impatient pre photo bite!
    Edward K.

Recently I've been checking out bakeries in Westchester. I saw Los Andes on Yelp and figured it was worth a try. Parking is a bit difficult but I was able to find street parking nearby. The store is clean and bright. The women working behind the counter were very nice and helped me to select savory and sweet items. There is a sizable selection of authentic Chilean pastries. My father in law and I had their beef empanadas at a table in the shop. We took rolls and a larger flat bread and an assortment of pastries to go. The beef empanada was sizable and delicious. Zesty beef filling, great crust, and a nice spicy dipping sauce. The rolls and flat bread were quite good as well, we enjoyed them with dinner later. The desserts were a real highlight. The alfajores were amazing, a couple of items that featured layers with dulce de leche in between were delicious, and the "Berlin" was a great custard filled doughnut. They've got a lot more to try and I look forward to it.

I was looking for breakfast in Sleepy Hollow before heading to the Cemetery and I'm so glad that I stumbled onto this bakery. Their muffins and hot chocolate were perfect for a cold snowy morning and the Berliner pastry was incredible.

Got an urge for an empanada, googled empanadas near me & got Valley Bakery aka Los Andes Bakery in Sleepy Hollow. Scooted down to the bakery and order two beef empanadas sight unseen. The server asked whether I would like them warmed - yes I replied. They arrived boxed so could not tell what they looked like. I kind of expected a crescent shaped patty, like the ones I had in Argentina or Rubins Empanada in Manhattan. No, they were square. OK, no problemo. Open one up looking to see what is in there. Find ground beef, raisins, egg, onion & a whole black olive somewhat disappointed about the olive. The empanadas I had have stuffed green olives to add that saltines. All in all the empanada was delish moist not dry. Oh BTW the empanadas are big one is great for lunch & at $4 it's a bargain.

La empanada does not taste like a cheese empanada. The owner is not generous with cheese or on general.

It is expensive and not worth it. OVERRATED. Los Andes Bakery made all of family have to run to the bathroom. I don't recommend any of the empanadas- the meat seems cheap and they were not filled with proper Chilean olives or eggs. We couldn't even finish them. The cheese empanada seemed skimpy as well. There was barely any cheese. Normally I would right an amazing review for this place but after this experience it seems as if they lost parts in their supply chain and people. There are a few nice women who work the front- not the owner but I think her name is Mia. She is always great. If you want the best Chilean Food in the Tri-State area - you will have to travel to Wappingers Falls to a bakery called Los Hornitos Bakery.

box of sweets from los andes! these treats were huge and so yummy

As a considerate man, I took the time to consider why Noble Pies, a noble land, didn't have more…read morereviews. Consistently, this store is filled to the brim. Its inventory is always sold out. Or is it always an illusion? I considered. But in considering this consideration I consequented that by chance rather than consequence, Noble Pies doesn't have many a review. And then by consequence of a lack of reviews, I considered how my consideration of stars to give may impact it's on average constellation. 4 stars and seven prominent constellations ago... or 5 stars for all the marbles. I did consider, I did compare to other pies and then I contemplated. I contemplated the consequences of my considerations. On the public, on the store, and on my future karma. I like these pies. And I've had some pies recently from elsewhere that did not compare. Pies are almost like pizza in that they are usually at the least edible. But a good pie, is actually great, ya know? A pie, is a pie AND that is surelllly sooooo. Don't count me out, count me in. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5!!! OFFF THE FLOOOOR AND ON THE BOARDDDD. SEEE YAAAAA. Just in time delivery. These pies are good. They go great with ice cream. The best ones are grand. I like apple crumb, but the blueberry is yum and others also agree with the tum. I'd be happy to recommend this treat to those that walk the street. Tarrytown, a melting pot of tourists in a suburb of the lamest city in this stratosphere. It must be the one burb, the only that doesn't get the curb. Ya can't blame them, I guess. Long live Suburbia. A rounded up 5. I go here probably once a quarter, maybe a bit more in the fall - Seasoned Vet - A playa plays the game. A playa Linguini is. Not just any playa. The star. Consider yourself lucky that I'm so considerate of my fans. Goodnight.

They have both savory (chicken pot pie) and sweet pies (key lime, cherry, apple, and more)…read more You can get a slice or buy a whole pie. They also sell amazing ice cream made in New York. I had the mint ice cream with pieces of brownie in it.
