The price is different everytime I come and I get the same thing every time. I have the menu and they always charge me an extra 50 cent for my food on top of the price change. When I addressed the price change the worker up front had a attitude about it, then today she made a remark about it and said I was "complaining" but how when you guys are overcharging me and I'm a loyal customer? Then I always say no guacamole and still get it, but today was the last day I waited 20 minutes for my food the rice was hard the queso was hard and I paid for extra chicken and didn't receive it. Took our server over 20 minutes to greet us yet was able to serve two other tables sat after us and bring them their food before coming to our table finally. We then proceeded to order a large strawberry margarita pitcher and did not even finish half of it when a food runner spilt queso all in the pitcher and did not acknowledge it twice, even after the clear view of queso all inside and outside the pitcher. I had the manager walk past us three times and tried to get his attention but he continually walked right past us multiple times. It wasn't until I caught the food runner who spilled the queso that I was able to address the ruined drinks and ask for a new half pitcher. 20 minutes later, even after we finished our main dishes, was the new half pitcher brought out and it tasted like there was no alcohol within its content at all. The new pitcher tasted like strawberry juice and lacked all the margarita elements. Highly disappointed and unsatisfied. Do not recommend going here. Our first and LAST time here. Right off the bat we ordered cheese dip WITH jalapeños and got plain. Nothing wrong with the chips and the salsa was fair.. What was MOST disappointing was the Texas Margarita. I swear it tastes like a cheap version of regular margaritas.. Very sweet and absolutely no flavor of tequila like it's supposed to be. Waitress brought us a glass of supposedly tequila and lime juice and it tasted the SAME... yuck! Food was not any better!! The quesadilla was so small and very salty. I ordered it because it had "fresh mushrooms" ...... right!! I found two tiny mushrooms that looked like it came from a can. My husband got shrimp taco. Waitress came by to make sure he wanted it "fully loaded" and when he got it... a few pieces of very small shrimp, some cheese and iceberg lettuce... nothing else!! Our Fave go to for Mexican in Monroe. The family who runs it have done so for years. Husband brought me when we were dating and we go back again and again. I love the fajitas and the seafood options- shrimp tacos, fish tacos, and entrees. Always leave full- amd they work with you if you have any dietary restrictions. Be forewarned weekends are very busy so go early or be patient waiting. Margaritas are awesome -regular or Texas are our choice! GO with the pitcher totally worth it. read more

Just ok standard run of the mill Mexican food. Has been popular in Monroe for years and has a large following of loyal customers. Probably the result of being the only Mexican restaurant for so many years and one of the few places allowed a full bar until Longhorn and Applebee's came to town. Often a long wait for a table even though staff tries to hurry you along in order to turn tables. Food is fine if nondescript. Nothing to recommend it but nothing to criticise either. I like this place but it is not my fav. I am use to authentic straight out of Mexico City Mexican food. So when I go to any Mexican place I always get one item to see if it is going to be made the way I know it is made and that is the chili rellenos . I base everything on that and I can say they are not made the way I like which is disappointing. To much sauce on things that doesn't even need sauce. Chili relleno is just cheese and battered with egg but when I order them they had meat and cheese with this tomato sauce drowning the pepper.
