The theaters are cleaner and seats are generally in much better condition here than across town. Popcorn is heaps better here too, plus more food options. The ticket + concessions line here can be really annoying at peak times though, and that's the one thing I don't like about this location. AMC needs to get some self-serve kiosks for tickets here to speed that up.

Employees know their jobs well and managers have been quick in helping me with my rewards card. The main theatre #1 is beautiful! 1930's architecture is hard to come by in such good condition, let alone still a public venue. Of course some people have had their own bad experiences, but when I got to know the staff, unlike many reviews on Yelp, they really opened up how much they like their job and how some days it's hard to please anyone. I understand customer service jobs don't always hire the best people, but Classic Cinemas has made an effort at Paramount. Last time I was there I saw they got new card and chip readers, self-serve butter and soda stations, amazing recliners (which they've had for a while), and a new manager who was very nice to me. She said she likes how happy the place feels and thinks that's why people like to go there more than other theatres. I agree!

The theaters feature stadium seating so recliners may not be feasible, although there is a flat floor section up front. The theaters have "rocker" chairs which allows the person in front of you to lean back right into your knees. The last time, my wife had a huge guy in front of her that due to his weight was leaning back and practically in her lap. His female companion sitting in front of me was very animated during parts of Lion King, bouncing in her seat (and this was an adult, not a child!) when certain scenes excited her. Luckily she didn't bang into my knees. This would be my second choice for a local theater, only if I can't get the times I want at Eastside.
