While she seemed pleasant I didn't like the fact that she showed me properties that were in questionable areas and appeared somewhat dilapidated. I also found it odd that she gave me the info of an inspector she was familiar with and had used in the past. I always prefer an outside independent home inspector so you can be assured they'll be more honest and transparent. In the end I don't recommend her because I felt she didn't work hard enough for me as a client. Buying your first home should be a good experience but it didn't turn out that way, and unfortunately I can't recommend this realtor. That's just my personal experience I thought I'd share.

So we decide to put in another offer for as much as the last time she told us there was a 2nd offer, coming up 50k dollars to meet it. She goes back and forth with my real estate agent and now says they have to go with the first offer even though they have no earnest money and contingent on selling there house. Mind you we have no contingency are pre-approved and will put 14k dollars earnest money and will close as soon as they want. Nancy still refuses the offer. She still is showing the house which makes me think there is no other offer. She is holding the property ransom and I am wondering if the seller even knows it. I have been told she only let's a certain type of people buy the house.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Brooke has been absolutely amazing! My wife and I are relocating to California…read moreback to the Chicago area and Brooke helped us purchase a house in the north shore- all done primarily through the phone, email and FaceTime. She scored us an amazing deal on the house and saved us a ton of money. I was happy at a particular price point, but Brooke insisted we could get an even better deal. She has great connections, so working with an inspector and lawyer will be easy and effortless with no hassle. Also, Brooke made herself available any time for questions and made it out to the burbs even though she's based in the city. I was so happy that I set my parents up with her, and she got them an amazing deal in Vernon Hills. My dad, who has bought and sold several homes over the past 40 years, remarked that he had never worked with someone who was as skilled in negotiation as Brooke. Brooke makes the home buying process incredibly easy...will be returning to her if and when we move on to a new house!

She is extremely knowledgable on the city and the housing market and was able to help us quickly narrow down our search. We looked at a lot of houses over a long period and at no point did we feel any pressure from her to make a purchase. In fact, there were actually multiple properties she talked us out of putting an offer on. She is not afraid to point out things that she thinks could be issues, and I knew by the end of the home buying process that I could trust her eye for quality. We love the house we are in and could not have done it without Brooke.
