Never coming back again i went to her office in westwood los angeles she was really rude i was with my 2 year old daughter and dr silver was doing the ultrasound my daughter was saying hi brother and she told her to be quiet to not talk because she cant concentrate read more

I was in this office yesterday because my midwife sent me here for my 20wk anatomy ultrasound. Dr. Silver and both women on her staff ALL lacked bedside manner. They were ALL very inconsiderate and disrespectful. For starters, when we arrived, we were told my 10yo son (proudly wearing his Big Brother t-shirt) had to sit in one of the doctors' offices or the lobby. I said, "Yeah, not alone.. we just drove an hour, and he'll sit there quietly, not in the way. " I was told it was pandemic protocol, even though it's May 2024, and everyone in the office was wearing a protective N95. Let's relax, alright? During the ultrasound, I was told I have too much amniotic fluid. So, of course, I start to worry. I was told it could be due to too much glucose and was then grilled about my diet. I am a small framed woman & very healthy. She told me to cut back on granola and cereal, lol, even though I don't consume those particular items. Why not mention how stress/cortisol can cause glucose spikes or make a recommendation for a blood test to determine glucose levels more accurately before nitpicking my diet? Anyway. That's not the biggest deal. She also told me my baby is very large, measuring ahead, yada yada. Doulas, and those in the birth world know what that means. It's usually inaccurate fear mongering to push vulnerable women in to inductions or scheduled surgical births. Once those women give birth, whether vaginally or via surgery, most of the time their babies are normal weight and FINE, sometimes even small (6lbs). So no, I will not be giving in to the fear mongering. I've dreamed of having a surprise gender birth. People always ask what we are having, and I happily respond, "we are waiting to find out until the birth day!". My husband and I told every single person in that office we do NOT want to know the sex, we are waiting to be surprised at birth. Dr. Silver did ask us all to turn our heads, I'll give her that, but then printed out a picture showing very clearly BOY. Like what in the actual fuck. Her tech also said at the end, HE has a cute face. Um, what? HE? I asked her why she said that, and she stumbled and said, "Oh, I say that about all babies... I don't like saying -it-". I'm sorry, but I don't buy it. I'm expected to believe she calls female babies HE? Not a chance. Not that I am upset about having another son. I don't care as long as my baby is healthy!! It's the fact that we said REPEATEDLY NOT to tell us. I left sobbing. The absolute worst day, which we were all looking forward to. Thanks for ruining our surprise Dr.Silver & team!! You're all cold and callous, like these other negative reviews say. If I need to have a follow-up to check my placenta again, I'll be seeking a second opinion elsewhere. read more

Very pleased with my experience at the Silver doc office. My appointment was met on time. All the staff very friendly. Dr Silver was very reassuring and kind with her approach. She provided sufficient information about the status of my body and our baby. I left the office feeling great. I look forward to come back to her for my future pregnancy(s). read more

Today I had my 4th ultrasound visit. However this time around I was a bit more nervous and anxious. Jasmine, was my tech and she was super sweet and thoughtful. She explained everything throughout the appointment on the screen monitor not only for me, but for my parents as well who tuned in via FaceTime. These are the little things that really make new moms like myself feel a lot more comfortable and help make the experience all around exciting. Make sure to request her in any future appointments. read more

Dr.Silver was amazing. She was recommended by my IVF doctor for my 11 week scan since my main OB is unable to see me. She's kind, caring and I felt relaxed during the entire appt. If she wasn't so far away, I would definitely make her my primary OB. Highly recommend for those in the area and the front desk staff was great too. read more

I LOVE Dr. Silver! She has helped me tremendously, easing my physical and mental discomfort throughout my pregnancy thus far. I'm a 31-year-old, first-time mom who has struggled with epilepsy and chronic migraines for the better part of my life. Driven by fear, I truly believed, at times, that pregnancy would not be in the cards for me. Boy, was I wrong! After assembling a team of top-notch doctors to monitor me and my baby (boy!), and with Dr. Silver as my MFM Specialist, I've been shocked by how wonderful this pregnancy has been for me. Dr. Silver is the one to thank for that. Not only has she remained available, but she has consulted with my other doctors, taking on each obstacle as it comes, continuing to find solutions. I can't say this pregnancy has been is perfect, but I can say that Dr. Silver has time and time again shown up for me and my baby, and I feel safe and secure no matter what comes our way. And, that feeling of safety is absolutely unexpected, rare, and priceless. Thank you, Dr. Silver. You have no idea. read more

Great doctor! She's very nice and so is her staff. They schedule accordingly, so when you get there you're not waiting, you're helped right away and put into a room. read more

This Dr is a nightmare..please find somewhere else to go...literally ANYWHERE else. I was referred to her from my normal ob/gyn today for a second opinion. I was showing now fetal heartbeat at 8 weeks. When I arrived at her office, obviously distraught, I was not greeted with empathy. I was given a stack of paperwork, which I was in no condition to fill out, but hey, healthcare is a business and they needed my insurance. This wasnt why I say SHE is a nightmare, although the attitude of the nursing and front office staff in certainly consistant with that of this so called Dr. Once they processed everything this woman took me into a room conducted my ultrasound and confirmed what my doctors findings were. Once she told me I began crying and she had the audacity to ask me if i was crying because I felt gulity about something. She didnt follow up with the whole speech as to how this isnt my fault. She was actually had an accusatory tone to what i believed was a question, when in reality it was a statement. What was she insinuating I wondered. She then callously told me to get dressed and go into her office. Once in her office, in a very clinical manner, she took a call. This was a call from my doctor. I was sitting there balling and shaking. She went on to describe that I was not taking it well and referred to my baby as a fetus and it didnt have a heartbeat. She the hung up the phone and reminded me not to forget my validation. I gathered my belongings walked out to the hallway, where I was greeted by my husband that rushed there from work. I gathered my thoughts and told him I needed to let her know what she did was wrong. I walked back in her office and told her she acted inappropriate and I was disgusted with her behavior. Anyhow, this is the most callous, insensitive, disrespectful, unprofessional person in the medical field I have ever encountered. I do not know how she has any patients. She is in the wrong field and centainly the wrong specialty. I am not expecting anyone to bend over backwards for me, but to have this person suggest that I felt guilt for anything after literally being at the Dr every single week for the last 4 weeks, taking crinone, and doing all I could is simply just a lack of common sense. She literally robbed me of my grief. PLEASE save yourself the stress. She is such a robot with no sense humanity in her body. Do not go to her..RUN FROM HER. She is truly a monster. read more

I am seeing Dr. Silver since the beginning of my pregnancy! She is amazing! And I feel so safe with her! I highly recommend Dr. Silver

Dr. Silver is horrible. Just be aware that if you are referred to Dr. Naylor's office, but do not specifically request to see Dr. Naylor, they will automatically schedule you with Dr. Silver (because nobody wants to see her). I agree with all the negative comments posted. She does not treat you like a person-- you are just a number and $$ to her. She is cold, fake, could care less about you as a patient, and has a horrible bedside manner. Stay away from her. read more

Dr silver is not a good Dr. I saw Dr Silver recently and she was irritated, extremely impatient and rushed through my whole exam. Dr silver did not provide any information throughout my ultrasound and treated me like just a number. read more

EDITED TO ADD FOR 2016- Dr. Silver moved to Santa Monica, and I followed her for my next pregnancy even though her old office was right up the street from me. She is THAT good. I feel compelled to write a review because I strongly disagree with the negative reviews. In my routine 19 week scan, Dr. Silver found a very serious heart defect in my baby. I am healthy and had an otherwise very healthy and comfortable pregnancy, so this was a shock. My husband and I both cried during that appointment, but she remained compassionate (and not awkward), and gave us the facts. She referred us to a cardiologist and supported our decision to get a second opinion with another cardiology team. We went on to have almost biweekly appointments between the OB, different cardiologists, and Dr. Silver, so we worked with several different doctors throughout the second half of my pregnancy. Dr. Silver was literally one of the best doctors on my entire team. Unfortunately, my son passed away at a week old. With my next pregnancy, I contacted Dr. Silver for an OB referral and am seeing her again as my MFM specialist. I wholeheartedly trust her skill as a doctor and her professional opinions and suggestions, and I appreciate her ability to be matter of fact with bad news while remaining compassionate. Doctors are humans, too, and it's nice to see they have emotion in sad situations. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could. read more

Dr Silver is fantastic! I am relieved I was able to see her today. I have seen many doctors and she has the best bedside manner of any by far. It can be scary & stressful being pregnant & handling the uncertainties each pregnancy presents, but I am writing my first yelp review because I was so impressed and thankful for Dr Silver's professional, kind, informative, and supportive treatment. I look forward to my next appointment with Dr Silver. I am also thankful for the wonderful staff who took extra steps to help me with administrative & insurance related matters before my appointment. Five star experience all around! (only downside: I forgot to validate my parking; two dollar mistake. Don't forget to ask them to validate your parking :). read more

I love Dr. Silver. She is a skilled and caring doctor and my family trusts her completely. Thank you Dr. Silver! Sami

I think there may be something a little askew with the people who wrote the negative comments about Dr. Silver, although different people often have different opinions, I have had the BEST experience with Dr. Silver who has moved practices to Santa Monica... I FOLLOWED her there even though her office used to be 5 minutes away from my house and now I have to leave an hour early to get there. Here's WHY: I had a history of my water breaking early twice before the first time my son was born at 34 weeks and is healthy but the 2nd time my water broke at 22 weeks and my daughter passed away after living an hour after in my arms ( I had a different MFM who was HORRIBLE!!!) so my biggest concern when I got pregnant again and having a rare surgical procedure to help me in future pregnancies was finding a great MFM and I was referred to Dr. Silver. She was SO compassionate about my loss, she spent extra time with me to make me feel comfortable because being pregnant was just about the scariest thing ever now, She is so supportive of the surgery I had to have an abdominal cerclage placed pre-pregnancy and makes me feel like we are in this together and actually used that term. I feel like I can call her whenever about anything and she goes above and beyond to put me at ease and so far she has gotten me almost to term! as I am still pregnant. I would recommend her in the utmost! you really don't find MFM's like her and I feel just so fortunate to have found her and I will feel sad when I don't have appointments with her anymore. If I could give her 10 stars I would, and she would deserve them. read more

She is an amazing caring doctor, and takes time to understand her clients' needs. I highly recommend her to all first time moms.

I've been seeing Lori since about 11 weeks when I had a bad bleeding episode. Turns out I had a Sub Choroinic Hematoma and my awesome OB Dr Ghozland got me in to see her to calm my worry that day. We continued to see her for the hematoma monitoring as well as the big scans like Nuchal & Anatomy and were about to be released till much further on when I got diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes so back to bi-weekly's with Lori. I look forward to her appointments she is quick in a non rushed kind of way just really knows her stuff. Always takes time to chat post appointments to go over any questions and generally keeps you calm when things get stressful. I wish I didn't have to see a MFM doc but I'm so glad we were referred to her! read more

I had the worst experience with dr silver. I was actually referred by my ob to this office to see dr naylor. however, unfortunately I was seen by his associate dr silver. Dr Silver introduced herself, then in a bitter tone asked why I was there (Isnt it her job to explain the process to me?)Throughout my whole ultrasound exam of my baby she hardly said a word, just clicking away on her computer, never explained what she was doing etc.. When she did speak, she was barking orders at me like a drill seargent telling me to pull up my shirt, lift my legs, etc etc.., if I wasnt doing it correctly she then seemed annoyed. She didnt even help me at the end as she saw me struggle to pull myself up. she does not have a pleasant bedside manner whatsoever. I left the place more upset by her treatment, rather than being happy that my baby was healthy AND the only way I knew my baby was healthy is when I read about it as dr silver was typing my results on her computer. I do not recommend her to anyone! I have told my OB all about her horrible treatment and they will not be referring anyone to her anymore. read more

I went to Dr. Silver last year was referred to her by my OB to manage a blood issue while pregnant. I had the same terrible experience as Connie and Sunny. I was so stress out when I would see her because she was always looking for something wrong even though I had just been to my Ob and everything was great. I left the office in tears most days and she made my blood pressure sky rocket. I let my doctor and Torrance Memorial Hospital know about my problems with her. My OB will no longer refer patients to her. I don't think she likes working with pregnant women and babies not sure why she is. Don't go to her find another Doctor. I will with my next pregnancy. read more

I absolutely love Dr. Silver. She has been supportive, readily available and informative during my very high-risk, difficult pregnancy. I never have to wait more than 10 minutes and the staff is very professional. My experience with her has been 100% positive and I would recommend her highly. read more

I started seeing Dr. Silver at the beginning of my pregnancy due to several high risk factors and we always looked forward to our appointments with her. Dr. Silver's wonderful traits included thorough assessments of my current health and the health of our baby, excellent bedside manner, and great advice on diet to help our baby thrive. The office is aesthetically pleasing and very organized and the staff is extremely helpful. She knew our baby's gender from the first appointment and managed to keep it a secret till birth (which was what we wanted). Towards the end of our pregnancy we saw her several times a week and we brought large groups of visiting family members with us and she was eager to accommodate us all. We had a very successful birth and are the proud parents of a very healthy baby. We owe a lot of that to the help of Dr. Silver. I'm just sad that now that our baby is here we won't have any more appointments with her. read more

I had basically the same exact experience as all other negative reviews. Horrible bedside manner, cold, irritated that she's there, and wouldn't even look at me or my husband. Not one smile or light attitude the entire visit. Did not explain anything she was doing and the kicker is I am now left with a Dr. bill for her for $880.00 and a lab bill of $1400.00 for things I did not know she was doing because she never explained what she was doing. She saw me for 20 minutes tops and barely spoke and now I am stuck with over $3000 in medical bills and that is after my insurance. They just treated me as if I had good insurance and rang up a huge bill without explaining what was being done. I didn't even need to see her except to have routine birth defect testing. I was 42 but was not at risk in any way. My OB just referred me for standard testing and no one explained the astronomical fees associated with the visit. Had I known how much was going to be charged for something that wasn't needed, I would have not gone to this office. The 4D pictures and CD cost me over $3000.00 basically. read more

My OB utilizes Dr. Silver's office for diagnostic scans (Nt, Anatomy) and high risk follow-up care. I see her more often now as I've been diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes. At my GD intake appointment I had an updated scan done to compare baby's measurements to my anatomy scan (since uncontrolled GD can affect a baby's size). At that time she noted that my cervix was prematurely thinning out so I was monitored for contactions and put on a restricted activity plan to prevent further effacement. Several days into what amounted to a modified bedrest regimen I started contracting, had persistent menstrual-like cramps, and lower back pain so headed up to the hospital as it was overnight and I am only 27w pregnant. The hospital blew me off, my regular OB (whom the hospital consulted with, even though I specified repeatedly that my MFM was following this aspect of my case) blew me off. I called Dr. Silver in the morning, who shuffled appointments to get me in and rechecked. Sure enough, those symptoms had affected me and my cervix was even thinner. Further testing and activity restrictions have ensued to make sure this baby stays in for as long as we can manage, which will hopefully be full term. She has a phenomenal bedside manner and even my six year old (who came to my anatomy scan) adores her, and she seems to be the only one taking my case and symptoms seriously. Though I haven't yet delivered (and hopefully will not anytime soon), I couldn't help but come write a review. Highly highly recommend. read more

Just a few weeks ago I deliverd my twins at 35 weeks 3 days after having a very rough begining to my pregnancy. I was referred to Dr. Silver by my fertility specialist. I have to be so grateful for the referral and careful care that Dr. Silver provided to me through my pregnancy. I had some complications in the beginning of the pregnancy that put me at a higher risk of complications or preterm labor. Dr. Silver saw me frequently and was always available if I had questions or was concerned. During each visit she discussed my ultrasounds and all the details about each baby and how I was doing as far as my cervix length and my amniotic fluid both were of concern because they were apart of my early complication. I am writing this review because I am so grateful for the attention Dr. Silver took with my pregnancy. She picked up on the slightest bit of swelling in my legs and face on my last visit with her. I had no obvious symptoms of any problems including not having elevated blood pressure, head aches etc. I assumed swellings was normal so I did not mention it. She saw that my eyes were unusually swollen and my legs and feet had swelled up, she immediatly sent me to the lab to test my liver function, platlets and urine, and requested I see my OB ASAP as she would have the results sent to her immediately. It turns out I had developed HELLP syndrome, and if she had not requested all of the tests and for me to change my appointment with my OB I could have had very serious complications and my babies were at risk if the diagnosis had not been confirmed as it had. She took the time to call my OB to confirm and follow up with my results and that night I was rushed into an emergency C section. With Dr. Silver's advise to me on my diet and exercise at every visit, i was able to maintain a moderate and healthy weight gain and deliver healthy babies that did not have to go to the NICU at 35 weeks. She followed up with me in the hospital to see how my treatment for HELLP syndrome was being managed and how I was recovering. She has wonderful bedside manners, not typical of most doctors. I would highly recommend Dr. Silver if you have a high risk pregnancy, you will be in great hands. read more
