The absolute worse experience. Would not recommend to anyone. Not only are you always waiting an hour + to be seen they will lie to you and take no responsibility. I'm doing self pay and by the end of the first trimester I paid the first fee of $3,333 cash. Every time before I got bloodwork I asked what was included and what would be out of pocket. Erica even wrote down what I had to pay(below) and said everything else would be included. There was NO miscommunication, I was very clear when asking what I would have to pay before the blood work was done. After being charged extra multiple times, I decided to switch care. I received three invoices for bloodwork, two for over $80 and one for $171. When I called Erica to ask why I got sent these she acted just as surprised as I was and reassured me that would be it. Three weeks later I got an invoice for $900!! Absolutely insane, I was never told about a $900 blood test. When you're pregnant and vulnerable you want care that you can trust in every aspect. I was lied to over and over again about what was included and what was out of pocket. At this time, I already paid Dr. Colin's 3,333 for the first trimester fee. I only had 2 app so that meant I paid $1666 per appointment. I figured there was some credit owed. Instead, Dr. Colin's decided to keep the money for herself and said there were no refunds. She said my only option was to come in for a third app which was unnecessary bc I already switched care. That would mean each app was 1,100. I told her I'd rather her pay the 900 blood test which was suppose to be included instead of coming in for a third app. Again, Dr. Colin's would rather keep the money for herself and said the third app was my only option. I was lied to repeatedly and taken advantage of. They don't care about you if you're pregnant they only care what they can get out of you. I wish I listened to all the bad reviews and never came here.

Buckle up dear reader, we're going on a ride. The destination is my wholehearted belief that Dr…read more Mia DiJulio is a brilliant physician and a caring, compassionate caregiver, and that I canNOT recommend her enough. So for the tl;dr crew, you can stop here. For more details...I'm in the rare position of writing a review of my amazing OB-GYN without having a baby to show for it. I've never been pregnant, it's the opposite: I've struggled for years with my busted babymaker. I've BEGGED previous doctors to get it out of me. I watched as my mother nearly bled to death in an ER before having hers removed in a frantic emergency operation. For years I saw various specialists, sitting in office after office surrounded by pregnant bellies and collages on the wall of all the beautiful babies the doctors in those offices had delivered. Societal patriarchy plus the necessary overabundance of caution from medical professionals on irreversible procedures meant trying all sorts of things and having my experience of menstrual bleeding most (!) days either minimized or outright dismissed. Again, patriarchy. Generally speaking, women's reproductive health is not treated in a way that expresses anything but contempt for women, and specifically speaking there are, unfortunately, female practitioners who uphold archaic parameters as enthusiastically as certain male ones. "You'll change your mind"/"Having a baby one day will be worth it" etc. So, we've got sexism and medical patriarchy. Next stop? Racism! I am a Black woman and racial bias in medical education and training is a hideous byproduct of overall systemic racism that many people are working to address and undo. It is a fact that Black women have disproportionately higher maternal death rates than our counterparts. So, while ideally any doctor has an awareness of these things, the stakes are profoundly higher as an OB-GYN. And yes, this all matters. Because Dr. DiJulio (who to my knowledge has no African ancestry), has made me feel seen, heard, and cared for from minute one. I sit here now with no uterus anymore, nearly 2 months after she performed a laparoscopic hysterectomy. A hysterectomy is major surgery to begin with (trust me, I've done my research!) and doing it laparoscopically is even more complicated. Massive kudos to Dr. DiJulo's colleague Dr. Klara Vogel, the first doctor I saw at the WONDERFUL Providence St. John's Physician Partners Santa Monica Women's Health office, who referred me to Dr. DiJulio right away because of her expertise with this specific type of surgery. Of course the aim was for a laparoscopic procedure, but I know that with the size of my fibroids, there's still a chance I'd wake up to find they'd had to "open me up" with a large incision. Nope! I have 2 tiny incisions and a painless empty space where my cursed reproductive organs used to be. For the record, I've always wanted to have a family and I still pray that God may bless me with a child to love, however that child enters this world. And I'm aware that part of me finally having the surgery is that my chronological age has caught up with childbearing prime years. It means so much to me that Dr. DiJulio has always held space for the complicated state of feeling like I'm the only person at the OB-GYN who'll never leave there with a baby. But that's the thing - I may have felt that way but the reality is there are more of us than we could ever know, because the many complications of our reproductive systems are not talked about as freely as the miracle of childbirth. There are so many things chalked up to "female trouble" that are serious medical conditions for which there actually is treatment and relief, in the right hands. Those hands belong to Dr. Mia DiJulio, the Beyonce of OB-GYNs. She didn't deliver my baby, she delivered me from suffering. And I am eternally grateful.

I found Dr Amersi when I got pregnant for the first time and needed an OB to support that journey…read more I can't say enough positive things about my experience with her - she is beyond thorough when you're pregnant (my other friends who were pregnant at the same time seeing other OBs in LA were amazed at the amount of care I received compared to theirs) and it was incredible to have her be the singular doctor I see at each visit. As my pregnancy progressed, we learned my baby was breech so my dreams of experiencing a natural and unmedicated labor turned into a planned c section. Dr Amersi was incredible at helping me see the positives in a c section and ensure I was comfortable with the change in plans. The delivery of my baby girl with Dr Amersi at St John's was truly a 10/10 experience. She makes the incision SO low and takes the time to stitch vs glue at the end so you have a cleaner scar. Comparing to other people's c section experiences I know of ... I know I am beyond lucky to have had Dr Amersi perform mine. I have healed amazingly and a procedure that initially terrified me has become one of the most special memories in my life to date. Thank you Dr Amersi for your amazing care and helping to bring my daughter into the world!

I will share my impressions of working with the wonderful doctor Dina Kiseleva…read more We met Dina this summer, when I was 5 months pregnant. I turned to her to continue my pregnancy after moving from another city. We immediately found a common language, she is a very pleasant and tactful person in communication. It's very easy to work with Dina, she listens carefully, delves into problems and questions, prescribes treatment, gives recommendations if necessary. I visited her office almost every week, it's cozy, nice staff who help if you have any questions. We decided to stimulate childbirth, as it was necessary according to the indications. We agreed with Dr. Dina on the date when I need to be in the hospital. I arrived at the hospital late at night, and early in the morning Dina came to my ward to ask about my well-being, to once again tell the plan of our actions. During the day she came to me, set me up in a good way, calmed me down so that I wouldn't worry. It was very pleasant, I was really calm, despite the pain I began to feel from the started contractions. Late in the evening I started giving birth, Dina arrived at the birth quickly, very calmly told me how to behave, what to do. Everything went very, very well! I am very happy that I turned to Dr. Dina, thanks to her, 5 days ago I became a mother of a wonderful baby, and now she sleeps sweetly next to me I want to express my great gratitude to the wonderful doctor Dina, you are a wonderful doctor and a very good person. If I give birth again, then only with You. Thank You soo much!)

I had a VERY, VERY BAD experience! I had appointment with Dr. Kiseleva on May 30, 2025 after…read moreconfirming through my insurance directory and with Provider that she is in-network and got a huge out-of-network bill. The visit was to set up the polyp removal surgery. The office was also trying to push me to do Ultrasound which i didn't need because had a recent one and they were threatening not to see me without it. Thanks Gos I was strong enough to decline this and insisted to be seen. After the visit, the claim was processed as out-of-network, and I was billed $800 for a doctor's visit!!!!! At the time bill arrived they were already pressing me to proceed with surgery although i had a concer with that bill. I thought it is just a mistake as i called and confirmed with my insurance again and they said that the provider is in network. I even got the prior authorization for my surgery confirmed which got me into even more confusion! (Later the provider said that prior authorization was just a mistake...) Right before the surgery when they already pressed me to have labs and physicial visit and was pushing me for the surgery I finally got to someone from their billing department who confirmed that they are out of network and have 2 different Tax IDs that they use to submit bills. Apparently they are using out of network ID, but they still have in network ID which they don't really use but it creates a huge confusion for patients/insurance and leads to the surprise bills! The person at billing was very rude to me! I was so vulnerable as this surgery was very important and I already had everything set up. I had to cancel everything, delaying my medical ussies and ended up with this huge $800 bill and other bills from physician and labs that were useless at this point. I was trying to talk to provider asking for exclusion, one-time honor, in-network adjustments or at least decent discounts. They are not responding to that saying that i should talk to my insurance!!! I filed multiple appeals with my insurance, and they denied because of the out-of network tax ID. I sent a second level appeal, and while this dispute is still pending, the office continues to send me bills and threats of collections. This puts patients in an unfair and stressful position! I was completely misled by both - insurance and provider and left without treatment I needed but with a huge bill! I believe it is unfair to hold patients responsible for someone elses mistakes! I did all that i could possibly do to confirmed in network status with both parites prior to my visit! I respectfully ASK THE OFFICE to RESOLVE this situation fairly and withdraw the balance billing. Patients should be able to rely on accurate information you are giving and fair treatment from their providers!!!! I have filed a complaint with the Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC) if the Provider will not take actions, I will escalate with the DMHC, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and other consumer-protection agencies! Please let's respectfully resolve this directly with your office!
