I was supposed to propose to my long-time girlfriend this morning in Central Park, but the photographer we were originally going with cancelled last minute, so I was in a scramble to find someone for today. I reached out to Erica, and although she wasn't able to do the actual photography since she's away, she nonetheless managed to save the day. In my panic of trying to find someone, she calmed my nerves and said we'll find a great photographer to capture these very special moments. She asked her photographer friends, and low and behold, we found one. Truly, a heartfelt thank you to Erica for helping out someone on a very special day!

We discussed the type of wedding we were having and what kinds of photos we'd like. We had to change the times for our photos and she was incredibly flexible and accommodating. She was a delight to have at the wedding in general -- when our planner was busy, she answered planner-like questions and helped direct us. She was sweet and creative -- best of all, the pictures came out fabulous! The caterer fell short in a lot of ways & I was a little worried it would show in the photos but she did a wonderful job capturing a variety of creative shots which made use of everything that went right that night. I would recommend Erica to anyone.

She knows NYC so well and moved us through different spots smoothly, even with crowds, without it ever feeling rushed or stressful. What stood out most was how genuine she is. The photos feel real and full of emotion, not stiff or overly posed. If you're eloping in NYC and want someone who's talented, calm, and truly cares, Mucci is the one. We couldn't recommend her more.

She made our wedding day extra special by capturing all the special people in our life in a way that didn't feel clichéd and that made sure that everyone had fun. Her high energy and even keel also helped to keep our wedding day on schedule. And she really is a gymnast -- climbing on precarious ledges and standing in the middle of the street -- all to get the perfect shot. We also really appreciated our engagement session with Bethany. We hadn't planned to do one, but were so glad we did so that we could get to know each other and practice posing. The day we scheduled ended up raining, but nevertheless, Bethany's shots were creative and beautifully lit. On top of all of this, Bethany is just a pleasure to know -- kind, funny, and genuine. I can't tell you the number of wedding guests who specifically commented to me that our photographer was the best that they'd encountered, and that her energy quickly made everyone feel at ease when posing. Bethany's photos perfectly captured the moods of each part of the day and we feel so lucky to have worked with her!

This, however, was easy because I was familiar with Bethany's work from when I lived in Brooklyn. Bethany has an eye for the simple, yet beautiful moments that can take your breath away. In any given situation she has the quickness to be almost anywhere and everywhere when these moments take place. This would be important for my wedding because it was an intimate setting, but took place in a rather large backyard space. During the wedding ceremony, Bethany was like an invisible assassin- never seen but always around capturing the most amazing shots at interesting angles. During the photo session, her energy was high - she kept everyone laughing and smiling as she organized group portraits. Everyone remained relaxed and enjoyed themselves even though we had a timeline before the reception. This was reflected in our family photos. During the reception, Bethany captured all the festivities, our friends and family co-mingling, people dancing and kids playing together. She was everywhere at once. I had told her I wanted the day to be documented in photojournalism style. And that she did. After the wedding, when I received our photos I was so happy to relive the day but from a different perspective- from that of an attendee. With a soft lens and her own sweet intuition, Bethany didn't just take photos she really captured the "magical" feeling of the whole day. That was my number one priority. Done. I highly recommend Bethany Bandera for your wedding! She listened to everything I said I wanted and then... even surpassed my expectations! Top shelf results, light on her feet, personable, professional and organized... and of course, photographs that really are timeless. Check her out yourself!

My husband and I were pretty uncomfortable with the idea of having a day where all eyes were on us, and yet she made the whole experience so comfortable and helped us overcome our awkward fears. She was fantastic at giving subtle direction to capture just the right moment. She also helped navigate a rainy day in Central Park for the shoot, helping to hold umbrellas and working to avoid downpours to keep my hair and makeup decent (bless her!) After our engagement shoot, we consulted with her on our wedding day, the schedule, the 'must haves' on our photo list and that we were mostly hoping to capture us and our guests having a great time dancing. Erica came prepared and flexible as changes arose in pre-wedding shoot venues. She had a great eye, stopping us occasionally in front of cool buildings/graffiti in Williamsburg to take portrait and couples photos. She moved quickly through all of the 'must haves; she knows what she is doing and is efficient! Additionally, I (stupidly) did not prepare her that I would have a gown change during the evening; regardless, she was ready to capture my 're-entry'. She was truly there at all of the right moments without feeling invasive at all. She was also extremely patient with my mother, who suffers from dementia, giving small and clear adjustments to avoid my mother being confused or overwhelmed. We just received our photos from the wedding day, and wow... they are stunning. My husband and I agreed that we would be happy if we had a handful of good ones, but we are astonished by how much she was able to capture so beautifully! We are simply blown away by the photos and memories she's been able to provide us.

She has done many weddings there and all the staff there love her - and I can see why. Her aesthetic was exactly what we were going for. She knows the area really well, including where all the good murals are, which made for a lot of fun city photos. We had a very limited amount of time and a very limited budget but Erica really made the most of every second. She was super responsive throughout the planning process. I admittedly was not the best about specifics shots we wanted, but she did a great job of getting all the various permutations of family members on the day of.
