On the big day June 8, 2024, at the Allaire Lavender Farm & Celebration Lounges Weddings, Catering & Mobile Bars, he captured every special moment with such creativity and attention to detail. The day of our wedding, we were very impressed with our photographers. They arrived early, stayed…read morelate, worked hard, and were very congenial. Our guests appreciated their presence. When we got our photos a month and a half later, we were somewhat disappointed. There didn't seem to be a lot of great photos. Lots were dark; many were out of focus or mis-focused, and lots of key moments seemed to be captured at awkward angles--perhaps too much effort was placed on being inconspicuous. We didn't really get the sense that a lot of time was spent post-processing them, either. (We realized later that most of our favorite photos from their portfolio were on very bright days in all-white houses and professionally-lit reception halls. We wrongly assumed the beauty was captured via their execution.) I wouldn't say they were "bad," just underwhelming relative to even our tempered expectations. The most disappointing part came at the end. We tried hard to express our disappointment diplomatically. We asked the lead photographer to point out some of the photos he put extra work into so we could appreciate them or compare them to the raw photos, and we asked for some of the photos they had removed (due to focus issues, etc.) so we could maybe salvage parts of them ourselves if they captured a moment we wanted but missed. His responses were very defensive and unproductive. He said he spent lots of time on them, he insisted we were sent great photos, and that we don't understand working with a videographer and how that limited the angles they could get. We attempted to deescalate by clarifying that we were just trying to get the most out of the day without imposing more time on him, not to criticize or complain, but it was fruitless. He said he selected the best photos and only removed bad photos, then later contradicted that he had sent us all the photos when we requested the "bad" ones. In the end, he returned our tip (which we didn't want or ask him to do), and stopped responding to us without providing any of the material we requested. I get that asking to "show your work" can be insulting to a professional, but his response when we were just trying to make the most of the situation was anything but professional. I'm sure there are plenty of Bride- and Groom-zillas who will be much less understanding than we, and while the photos were a little disappointing, the final taste in our mouths gives me more reason to advise caution.

Edward turned out to be especially easy to deal with - returning calls and emails immediately, and listening to and answering all our requests, concerns and questions. He came to the event early to plan how to get the best shots and accommodate the tight space. He had an additional videographer and second camera so he would not have to move around too much, and not disrupt the ceremony. And he got everything - editing the two videos to give us a complete record of our wedding. Edward exceeded our expectations in every way, and delivered a quality video of our wedding that is a delightful and moving experience to watch and share with our family and friends. We were extremely impressed with Edward's professionalism, diligence, focus and easy nature in dealing with our guests and young children. And he delivered an artistic, creative, beautiful final product, on time! We highly recommend Edward from PhotoVideoGo for your next celebration. You won't be disappointed.

Jose did an amazing job with the photos to capture what we wanted (Sunset, bridges, water, city backdrop, cobble stone streets). Jose was very easy going and really has a vision of how to make a picture look beautiful. Wedding day was just the same. Jose captured everything we wanted from shots at the hotel, though the wedding, and to the end when we left in a Rolls Royce. Jose and his crew were never pushy and at times funny and clever to get people organized to do what was needed for the perfect shots. Jose went above and beyond our expectations and really made working with him easy and a pleasure. I would highly recommend JS Visions to anyone that is looking for a photographer.

Ryan Jensen photographed our wedding last month, and we can't say enough great things about him!!…read moreNor can our guests - we were approached by probably 30 of our guests who told us "Your photographer is so nice! Where did you find him?" and "Do you know if he will travel for weddings on the West Coast?". We first worked with Ryan about a year ago, for our engagement photos. We chose him for his artistic photos and for his talent at capturing movement and emotion. (check out his website to see what I mean...) I had very specific ideas about where I wanted our photos taken and he kindly followed us around Union Square, Chelsea, and the West Village, humoring all of my requests. We had fun posing for a couple hours until the sun set, and a few weeks later had hundreds of great pictures to show for it. We haven't seen all the photos from our wedding day yet, but Ryan put a preview slide-show up during our reception to many oohs and ahhhs of our guests. I can't wait to see the full set of photos!! As if everything else wasn't amazing enough, when my wedding dress ripped during the reception, Ryan swooped in and saved the day with a sewing kit! One of the most amazing things about Ryan on our wedding day was that I never noticed him. He didn't intrude in the ceremony or in our fun in any way, yet after the event, when looking at my friends photos, I noticed he was there, always right up in the action. That is talent! Also he gives great restaurant and travel recommendations! :)

Both of us said, "there's clearly one who's head and shoulders above everybody else, right?" We were both talking about Ryan. He didn't disappoint. He was gracious and funny in negotiations before the wedding and in action at the wedding. Both he and his partner were cutups when they needed to be and unobtrusive when called for. Now that we have the pictures, I can unequivocally say he's the most skilled event photographer I've ever encountered. They're exquisite -- both rich in detail and complete in their scope. Every moment was captured and every guest caught in a gesture or activity that reflected his or her nature. Plus the group photos are ridiculously flattering. We're grateful.
