Not a good company.. Has been around for over 40 years and their work looks it. My wedding photos look like my grandmothers wedding photos when they did her wedding. This an old company that doesn't evolve with the younger generation and not appealing with the level of creativity that you see with other companies. The brothers (Anthony and Joe) drove this company to the ground. Anthony is a bad man, plays a good game until it comes down to the money. Don't believe anything they say. My friend did a engagement shoot and personal shoot with them. She wanted me to review some of the photos they took. I am not photographer. As I reviewed all 3000 plus photos, there were the same pose taken 20 different times in slightly different angle. Only 7 I could say was worth it. She requested to have the photos edited, there was a few background "noise" in it. Let just say, I could have done a better job wth my iPhone. I'll be happy to sent any proves. I felt bad for my friend and anyone that hires them, this is why I am writing this review. Save yourself now. read more

WEDDING DATE 08.23.2008 CONTRACT PAID IN FULL:07.30.2014 *On this date, the final edit and fulfillment of contract promised by Riccardo. My experience with Riccardo Studios has been filled with empty promises, incomplete and unacceptable work, unorganized, non personalized, subcontracted work that is common from a cheap vendor. The sales pitch is similar to a used car dealership, arrogantly confident looking for a quick signature to fleece the next unexpecting couple eager to be married .They state that what sets them apart is quality, affiliation, and unique craftsmanship that in all reality is absent. On 07.30.2014, My husband and I met in the Howard Beach office with Joe. At this time, we submitted the final payment of $400.00 which, per contract, triggers the finalization of editing toward completion and product presentment. On 01.16.2015, after reviewing the initial delivery of the final video, it was evident that the valued traditional footage of my father and I pulling up to the church was omitted, there was not one minute of footage for the "custom" 4 hours spent in New York City between ceremony and celebration at Marina Del Rey, my special request to have my husbands grandfather's reading at the church, whom had recently passed away, was never fulfilled, the traditional moment of the bride and groom cutting the cake was absent. The customized song list selected for each moment of footage, which was on a standard form provided by Riccardo Studio's, was never implemented. We were under the impression that the delay of 10 months for editing was caused by these very specific and detailed moment requests unique to our wedding. As a gross understatement, We were sadly mistaken. After my husband and I, reviewed the video, we immediately reached out to Joe to express our disgust. Joe's replying via email: "The editor is in the process of adjusting the video when it is done I will have you view it. If you are still not satisfied I will hand the project over to another editor. I'm assuming once footage is added it will be fine anything else wrong? This is your chance to tell me and I will forward it over." After Joe's reassurance, another 12 months elapse without any call or email. On 02.08.2016, I emailed Joe. My initial inquiry: Date: February 8, 2016 at 9:53:12 AM "Hi joe: Can you tell me when our video will be ready, I think it was around last March 2015, when I last spoke to you not sure I would have to check my emails. If you can check into that, I would appreciate it!" Joe's response: Date: February 9, 2016 at 2:29:05 PM EST "Hello, Im a little confused Your video was already delivered to you according to my records, what are you waiting for?" My response: Date: February 9, 2016 at 3:05:09 PM EST "Hi Joe, I can't believe this! Here is one of the emails I had sent to you, I had picked up my Video around last March, you told me to watch it & if there was anything wrong with it to let you know, & it was disgusting! The best in the business. They did my wedding 20 years ago, and they just did my daughters Sweet 16 last month. Last night they did my niece's wedding photo and video. A great family run business that has essentially become a part of our family. We cant envision an event without Riccardo's being to capture the moment. Our daughter's Sweet 16 video was awesome and I'm sure my niece's photo and video will be equally awesome. They take such pride in their work, a rare gift in today's rush rush world, and they TALK to you, give you advice about every aspect of your event. They are a family that treats you like family, as corny as that sounds. Riccardo's will always be a part of our family events and we cannot recommend them more highly. read more

Just got married on 9/8/18 and after having a severe issue with another photography company. Riccardo studios (Joe and Anthony) treated me like a relative. I genuinely cannot ever repay them for their hard work and efforts the day of the wedding. The team is beyond amazing! I strongly recommend the same day edit! My edit blew away every single one of my guests. Aside from Joe and Anthony.. Tony (photographer) and Peter (drone guy) where AMAZING! Tony pays attention to the smallest details! He has such an eye for precision and I instantly liked his work. I haven't seen my pictures or full video yet but all I can say is I haven't had a single issue and I know for a fact that I wont! I'm beyond grateful for this crew of talented photographers and videographers! Anthony, Joseph, and the entire Riccardo Studios team surpassed anything we could have expected from a wedding photographer and videographer. They came highly recommended by our venue, which was rightfully so. From our first meeting with them, we felt comfortable and knew that these were the people we wanted to capture the most important day of our lives. They arrived not just on time, but early and went above and beyond in order to get the perfect shot, even laying down on the floor if necessary. They were a blast to work with and made the sometimes arduous task of taking thousands of photos so much fun. They even have a drone to take amazing aerial shots! After extensively trying to absorb the fact that I had spent all that money and received no video, I then realized that I had provided pictures of my childhood and my husband's childhood in stages that have no copies. In an attempt to recover these treasured images, My husband called Joe and asked him not only look for our videos, but also search for our one and only childhood photo's. After 3weeks had passed, my husband text and called only to receive a reply from Joe that he needed until the beginning of April to look through the office. To this date, we are out all the pictures and still have no video or expectations that Riccardo will fulfill their end of the costly contract. read more

I'm actually shocked to see there is only 1 review so far. The first time I laid eyes on their photos i KNEW they would be doing my wedding, no ifs and or buts. (this was 5 years prior to actually getting engaged) lol.. When it finally came time for me, I left my fiance with no choice. I browsed other photographers just in comparison but i never got that wow feeling like i did when i first saw their photos. I called and spoke to Anthony the first time i inquired about doing an engagement shoot. He is SOOO awesome. Just a phone call made me feel like i knew him forever. I said this to my fiance and he wasn't buying it, thinking anyone looking to get your business is going to be like that. (hes a tough critic lol) But when i dragged him to an appointment to consult about our wedding HE WAS SOLD, Even he was impressed. We booked him right away! We didn't even look anywhere else. Fast forward months later, we used him for our engagement shoot. AMAZING!!! We were in the city allll day at 3 locations with NO rush & i have a ton of pics. Anthony made the day SOO Fun.. it was funner than i had imagined. It was such an easy care free day. He is soo good at what he does. My pictures came out great. I'm obsessed with them ALL. My wedding is October 2014 and I am so excited to have them shoot my wedding. Using them for both photo & video. read more

They are very unprofessional, did not return phone calls for weeks (and then say you never called) and their pictures are average AT MOST. We used Riccardo Studios for a photo shoot for our newborn godson and toddler niece back in December and was very pleased with his work. Anthony was a pleasure to deal with, he handled the kids in such a gentle and loving manner (you could tell he is a family man and that he loves his job) and his work was beautiful and captured what we were looking for. Received the link for the photos in a timely manner along with the photos that we purchased. My husband and I just used Anthony for maternity photos (which I was dead set against doing but did not want to regret later on in life). Once again, he was responsive, accommodating to our hectic schedule and we cannot wait to see the final product. I cannot wait to have Anthony come back and do our newborn photo shoot! I did not know of him for our wedding but would certainly recommend him to anyone who is looking! read more

I was married in 2009, and everything was absolutely perfect about our big day except our photographer. We were recommended to this company after our friends were married in 2005, and warned about their unprofessionalism after. Our first issue was being promised to take our engagement photos in DUMBO. After scheduling the shoot, Anthony notified us that this was not what was said and that he had "mouths to feed" and would need an additional $750 to make this happen, after spending almost $9,000 on our package. We rescheduled our shoot in Staten Island where we had to wait for the photographer. Rob, because he hit traffic coming from Brooklyn! During our shoot Rob proceeded to tell us that Anthony was not the best photographer to use because at one wedding (Anthony) was so busy talking to the father of the bride that he did not even get a picture of the bride with her father. Rob told us this and quite a few other stories about Anthony. This helped us decide to switch photographers from Anthony to Rob. The day of the wedding, everything seemed to go perfectly. The next issue was our pictures. We had put in our contract that we did not want proofs, that we wanted all of our photos on a CD so that we could own all of our photos. We made this clear in our initial meeting because we wanted to use another company for pictures and Riccardo for video, and Anthony said that he would match the other company's package because "he does not get along with other photographers." About 4 months after the wedding we received the CD (mind you none of our photos were retouched), and all of our pictures had a watermark on them with the incorrect date. When we spoke with Anthony about this, he called me a liar, and that I never said that we wanted to own our pictures. After many tears, phone calls, and Anthony hanging up on me saying, "he does not deal with stupid crying brides", we finally received our pictures 9 months after our wedding. The next issue occurred almost 3 years later when we received a phone call out of the blue that our wedding video was ready. Now, we were convinced that they had us confused with someone else because 3 years later is absolutely ridiculous. When I arrived at the Howard Beach office, I discovered that it was indeed our video. The video did not even compare to our friend's video from 2005. Our love scene did not fit the screen of the video, it was poorly edited, and worst of all my name was misspelled. I contacted them and was promised that the changes would be made. We were absolutely horrified at the replacement video, filled with cartoon images covering our faces, changing the color of the video to a yellowish hue in some parts... We went back and forth with them numerous times with no success. I have numerous emails highlighting their unprofessionalism. Last year, I was at a friend's house when I met another Riccardo bride from 2009 that still does not have her video. We discussed this for a long time and have had many similar experiences. I can never recommend them for the way they treated my husband and I, I wish that I had a better experience since my day was wonderful, but I have nothing nice to say about Anthony and his company. read more

Riccardo Studios was by far amazing!!! I cannot wait to see my photos! I got married in September and Anthony and his crew were BEYOND EXCEPTIONAL!! When I booked my wedding, I went straight to Riccardo to book them because I knew they were the one's I wanted to use to capture our special moments. My best friend used them for her wedding and I was in the bridal party. She got married 3 years ago, and I remember saying when I get married they are the photographers I wanted to use; and so I did. I did not even bother looking at any other companies. At the church, I was so impressed how Anthony was literally laying on the alter floor to capture all our special moments at different angles. After, we went into Times Square and Columbus Circle to take pictures. Anthony was literally stopping traffic so my bridal party and I could run across the street taking photos! We had SO much fun!! We took fun, serious, and artistic photos! Anthony and his crew take complete pride and joy in their work. They love their job, and I was able to see that throughout my entire wedding day! We became so close to them, and were so comfortable with them the entire day. Even at our reception, they were always there snapping photos and videos all night long. I highly recommend Riccardo Studios for any event you have. They should be the ones to capture your special memories, just like they captured ours. I can assure you we will recommend them to ANYONE we know, and will definitely be using them again for anything else we have in the near future. They are by far the BEST!!!!!! read more
