I moved in during the pandemic and so far I enjoy living here at the Loren! The apartment has modern features, updated washers + dryers, pet friendly, and also attentive and friendly staff who provide regular community updates and events. The maintenance staff is also generally responsive and once came to my house 15 mins after I sent my service request. Everything is always kept spotless and tidy which I like. The lobbies + common rooms are gorgeously decorated. There is a small gym and sunbathing lounge w/ cool off pool during summer. It is a small apartment community and feels like living in a hotel when walking down the halls. For the price we really are satisfied with our choice. Some places where I see room for improvement to a 5 star property is resumed regular shuttle service to the metro. The apartment is over a mile away from east falls church via walking and so it is NOT convenient to get to without a car FYI. Another reason I didn't give 5 stars is because we have had multiple power outages in the short time I have been here so far. Once we lost power for 5 hrs! It seems prone to blackouts in summer months, so I really think we should have a backup generator to prepare for the summer months. read more

My sister and I originally signed the lease when Bozzuto was managing the property and were pretty disappointed when we learned Greystar was taking over. More because we enjoyed living in a Bozzuto property prior, and less because it was Greystar taking over. We have been pleasantly surprised though as the leasing agents are always helpful and friendly. A couple things I love about this complex that made it stick out when we were looking around the Arlington/Falls Church area: - Guest parking is easy. - Affordable for the area and what you're getting (luxury apartments) - Tons of groceries/food options within a 5 min drive (if you aren't driving through the dreaded 7 corners during traffic hour): Target, Harris Teeter, New Grand Mart, Safeway, Chipotle, Wendy's, etc. A few things that could be better: - The garage door and the opener... I hate my garage door opener. It has a mind of its own and never going to know whether or not it wants to work when it's pressed. Would also be nice if the garage door opened automatically when it senses a car leaving. - Bike room. It doesn't have enough racks and makes me feel like if I go biking, I'm going to lose my spot and end up having to make room for it somewhere in my apartment. - The gym. It could have more free weight options, e.g. legit squat rack instead of a smith machine, barbell/mats for deadlifts. - The thin, thin, thin walls/ceilings. Could hear our upstairs neighbor vacuuming, and walking around (which honestly felt like he was angry and stomping all the time). I acknowledge most of the cons are "nice to have" features. The Crookery Complex I get to call Home If all apartments were filled within a 50 mile radius, I'd suggest upping that radius to 75 miles (hours of traffic is worth it compared to living here). Rent costing the same price of a local mortgage won't be enough. Your things will break and facility property is hazardous. - A) Parking garage doors without sensors will and have come down on cars. Management says it's not their fault and the garage works fine. - B) Gym equipment that makes horrible noises, half the functions don't work like treadmills speed or incline, equipment screens don't turn on etc. - C) Fire alarms 2-3 times a week for testing, yet in my first month the building has been evacuated due to a resident burning their dinner. Just like a college dorm experience. Don't be fooled by the "resident events" or "property upgrades" - D) Happy hour and events that occur at 3:30... perfect for the majority of residents who work from 9-5pm. - E) "Brand New Dog Wash" - it's outdoors/inside the garage. Nothing like catching a cold or breathing car fumes while trying to wash your pet. (Not to mention endless pet waste around the complex with only 1-2 waste stations) - F) Don't expect to receive your mail or packages. Residents always get the wrong mail. Packages get delivered to the front office, but they are only open 3 business days during the same work hours as residents and until 3pm on Saturdays. AND can't be found on a regular basis and leave early more often than not. Which also brings up an issue if you have a dog walker or friend attempting to come to the front of the building and need access. - G) "Work from Home in our Lobby and Resident Office" - if you don't mind unsupervised children riding scooters through the lobby at all hours and basic equipment such as paperless printers not working, then maybe this is possible. After a little over a month I can add an endless list of items, but PLEASE do yourself a service and live anywhere else! ANYWHERE! read more

After spending 2 years in national harbor, it was time for a change, after checking out a few places I was fortunate to find such a great place in such a short time!!!!! I remember starting the application process and being immediately contacted by the leasing manager Veronica, who helped me through the whole process, friendly and knowledgeable, it was probably the easiest move I've ever made!!!!!! Also she helped me move up my move in date on short notice to help me around my work sked, that resulted in her staying later then he she had to, and she was so happy to do it!!!! Also wanted to point out, when I found the apartment that was to my liking the manager Kristen actually said it was cheaper then the listing price, and was able to process my app at an even cheaper rate, and she gave me all the options how to set up payments and everything else!!! So with that said, the managers of this property are A+!!! As for living here now for 3 months, it's hard to find a better location, there's no noise, the residents here are all extremely nice, the amenities and gym were spotless, they are now closed unfortunately but they are always sending out emails to see what they can do better, parking is extremely easy, and not hard to find a spot in the least. This is all A+, can't ask for anything better So from my traveling bowling league before I moved here I was a little familiar with the areas great food options, but I really had no idea how good it really was 5-10 minute drive from garage you have the following, Harris teeter Whole Foods Trader Joe's Giant (3 of them) Safeway Great restaurants, takeout now, will have dine in soon enough, again these are a 5-10 minute drive, but well within walking distance, will even rate them Vinh Kee 7.5/10 Full Kee 7.5/10 Peking gourmet 9/10 Present 10/10 Marks duck 8/10 Dogwood Tavern 8.5/10 (great bar) Dogfish head ale house 6/10 Four provinces Irish pub (didn't make it there) - Jimmy Johns, subways and jersey mikes on rt 7 - Eden center with all the Vietnamese stores and restaurants - lazy mikes ice cream 10/10‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ - I think about 4 CVSs, a Walgreens that I've seen, 2 within a 10 minute walk - 3VABC liquor stores, a bunch of wine stores, and downstairs from apartment you have casual pint, with tons of beer and food selection - Eddie Vs, fogo de chao, Chima, Fleming's about a 10-15 minute drive if your into steakhouse dining If your into fitness, the walking routes here are amazing, plenty of trails, and safe sidewalks, great bike trails as well All in all I couldn't be happier living here in the 3 months I've lived here, and that's with covid 19 really altering the way we all live our lives I strongly suggest considering this place to be your next place to live, I think you'll be happy read more

I've lived at Loren for six months now and it's been great so far. Perfect area for those who work downtown. It's very clean and modern, which I love! The staff members are friendly and Veronica is very helpful. She will make sure your move-in process goes smoothly. I've never lived in an apartment where the maintenance staff is so quick and friendly. The gym isn't the biggest, but it has what you need and it seems like all of the residents have been good with wiping everything down. Same with the entire complex, everyone wears masks and keeps their distance so it's nice not having to stress about covid as much. I love how we have a heated parking garage and an Amazon hub room. I live on the first floor, which normally would be pretty loud from my experiences at other complexes, but I don't have any complaints here. Loren is also pet friendly and has potty stations around the complex. Being right across the street from a park helps when walking my pups too! My favorite thing about my unit is the 18 foot ceilings and updated appliances. I rarely have issues with anything in my apartment and if I do, maintenance is on call and fixes it the same day. Last but not least, orange theory fitness just opened right outside, and Jon Smith Subs is delicious. I highly recommend checking Loren out! read more

Probably the worst fron office ever they could care less about the residents here, the parking garages have been broken for over a year, elevators are always down, you can't access most floors by the stars because the doors won't open. If your looking for a place don't mover here trust me and if you do be prepared to wait for them in the lobby always late. read more

I lived here from May 2018-May 2019 Helpful and kind leasing agents kind of run the show here. They do the best they can with their limited hours and staff. Pros- the apartment is generally quiet and the community members are pretty respectful. The place is kept very clean and the amenities are small but nice. The pool is very tiny and shallow, giving the lifeguard lots of time to nap on the job. Seriously, on several occasions I would be there tanning with a friend and our conversation would be interrupted with how loud his snoring was. In general work orders are completed quickly. Cons- The location sucks as everything is just out of walking distance, and if you have an apartment facing Arlington Blvd. you will hear all of the commuter and emergency vehicle noise early every morning. The shuttle to the metro doe NOT run on weekends, and the parking garage door regularly has problems with not opening (when you're trying to get in AND out). The Loren's package system is also incredibly frustrating- to the point I stopped getting packages delivered to my home address because of it. They do not have enough amazon lockers to accommodate all of their residents, and packages will not be delivered to your door. Because of this you have to somehow get home from work and make it to the leasing office before they close if you want to get your package. If the package is supposed to be delivered and there is no one in the leasing office to leave it with your package will be left behind a bush by the front door right there for everyone driving on Arlington Blvd. to see. Overall my experience at the Loren was okay, nothing special and I was very happy to move away to somewhere with a 24 hr concierge for packages and more things to do nearby. read more

I have enjoyed my time so far at Loren. The apartments are really nice for a fair price. I enjoy having updated and modern appliances and wood floors. My apartment feels very spacious. Everything is nearby and its a short drive to DC and Arlington. The restaurants around the area are so great and shopping is very close by. There is also a small park within walking distance for those with dogs. The building and parking garages are very secure which gives me peace of mind. They have taken COVID seriously which I also appreciate. Sometimes there is noise, but that is to be expected in any apartment situation. No major complaints here. read more

Moving to Loren has made renting an apartment so easy. Loren representatives respond right away to requests and they are super friendly. Although amenities are not in use at the moment due to COVID-19, the staff has been great in their communication to residents. Loren is a beautiful, relaxed community that definitely feels like home. Apartment features are brand new and spacious. The Casual Pint, as well as other stores, are located directly outside the building. I've had negative experiences in the past with rentals and I'm so happy I chose Loren to be my home! My wish list would include a better visitor parking policy and lower rent cost. read more

The Loren team is committed to keeping the Loren community safe, secure, involved, and accommodating. When searching for apartments we had very high standards. We wanted good location, quality amenities, and a safe community. With Loren, we received that and much more. The staff were extremely welcoming and showed us every amenity Loren had to offer - a beautiful pool and relaxing courtyard, a clean workout facility, a lounge area equipped with comfy couches, a pool table, and multiple TVs, a fireplace, and grills! The apartments are layed out very well with tall ceilings, stainless steel appliances, awesome in-house laundry, and thick walls that keep out noise. What more could you need? Since living here we've had to contact maintenance a couple times and they are super quick in responding and fixing everything we've needed fixed (I can't thank them enough!!!) After living here for over a year, what makes me so pleased about this apartment is the fact that staff truly listen to their residents. They send out polls and provide options that would accommodate every resident's needs. They are quick in response to feedback and are quick to resolve issues that arise. Not only does Loren provide safe community standards but also fun provides some fun for its residents. Nearly every month there is raffles, contests, free coffee and snacks, and fun events hosted in the lobby. We also live right next to a brewery and two sandwich shops which make for fun Tuesday Trivia nights and late night dinner runs easy and convenient. At the beginning of the pandemic, The Loren took as many proactive actions as they could until it was more clear what would be best practices. Our amenities were closed for a bit (including the business room), which, while frustrating some due to the length of time, in retrospect was a smart move. They've installed hand sanitizing stations in every public space/room (including garbage rooms) masks if needed (including those coming in for a tour). I've been here for two years and yes, the new management needed time adjusting to a new property and the expectations Bozzuto created for its residents. I can say (as one of the more vocal residents expressing my disappointment during the transition), they now take resident suggestions and make them happen, are more accomodating and from my personal experience, when I've put in a maintenance request it's always taken care of quickly.
