We've lived all over the DMV, and we don't mind paying for luxury. At the view however, you pay a luxury price without the luxury. The View is only motivated by charging you as much as possible and sometimes providing you with the minimum legal standard of a habitable apartment. Don't expect more from this place. We were nickel and dimed on our security deposit and all our friends that moved had the same experience. They charged us more than we felt we owed, but strangely could not reach the staff at the view, and were ignored. They just want you to pay your bill and not argue here. For 8 months straight, our neighbors played music or the TV from 10PM till 2 AM on and off during the week and weekend. I had concierge go and warn them to stop like 8 times and filed numerous noise complaints, which I felt were not addressed properly as the issue persisted for as long as it did. Even the band that played during the day above us was quieter and more considerate than this guy. They did not care to fix this, because our neighbor was a paying resident like us and that hurts their bottom line. It doesn't matter if you break the rules here. For every problem we had here, it felt like they just want to you live with it. Just like the roaches that infested the building for a time, or when our AC was broken for a month and our apartment reached temps as high as 90 F. They couldn't believe the problem wasn't fixed. This is the experience you will get here, they just want the problem (you) to go away and pay your rent in peace. Literal garbage landed onto our balcony all throughout our stay from other residents tossing their trash from the roof or their balcony. I've seen report cards, boxes and dental floss thrown onto my balcony. It was disgusting. The resident events went downhill in quality and effort. The community is also not really here anymore. Everyone seems angry, and people drive like maniacs in the garage. The elevators are often broken down and in need of repair, often putting residents into a constraint of 1 elevator during our time here When we told the office we'd move out and afterwards made maintenance request, it took them three days to fix it. And they only did so after we went to the leasing office to address it. It was fixed twenty minutes after speaking to the leasing office We booked our loading dock slot and were told a week later that another person reserved it (by email, not via the reservation system). We were informed that it was a glitch, but it shouldn't take two weeks for a glitch in the system to be noticed. They prioritize at all costs, new residents. Once you've sent in your notice to move out, you become chopped liver. If you're thinking of the view, go somewhere cheaper. They raise rents 5% or more every year, and don't provide more value in return. Not to mention the apartment industry in DC is full of price collusion. Go across the street, live somewhere else. You can have a View anywhere. read more

I moved in in Feb 2018. Within 2 weeks, they started construction on a building right next door. My dream apartment turned into a nightmare. Every morning at 7, I wake up to banging noises and machine noises. It doesn't stop till 6:30PM and this goes on Monday - Saturday. Not sure what I want to do. They offered me the option to move to another unit, but I'm still not sure I want to live this close to the construction. My next door neighbor just moved out of their unit due to the noise. The View is a great place to live because the staff actually cares about the residents. They know my name, my dog and care about my life events. They go above and beyond to make everyone feel at home. I recently got in a car accident and the staff helped with several things but they surprised me by spending their own money to get me a gift for my new car. You can make your choice of deciding on where to live based on a lot of factors but having people around that make you feel like family changes your quality of life. read more

This is an amazing building in the heart of ballston. I have been extremely happy since I moved in, and would recommend this apartment complex to anyone moving to the area. It is in walking distance to everything - metro, mall, food, hair salons, gyms, Harris Teeter, a mile from Clarendon, etc. All of the apartments are brand new, with stainless steel applicanes, white quartz countertops, hardwood floors, and huge windows. My apartment is very spacious and has a great view. The maintanence guys/staff at the building are awesome. There is someone at the concierge/front desk 24/7 which makes it an extremely safe and secure building. The concierge will call you directly anytime you have a visitor. The leasing staff was wonderful throughout the entire process. Dani, Derek, and Stacey were all extremetly helpful. Not only did they allow me to push out my move in date to one that worked best for me, but they stayed in contact with me throughout my move in and after to ensure I had a smooth transtion. It is nice to know that the people who are running the building are really there for you and make an effort to see that you are enjoying your stay. They are always willing to lend a helping hand, even now that I have been living here. Amenities: The amenities at The View are great. The gym is brand new (just like everything else), is open 24/7, and never gets crowded. There is a community area on the 14th floor with a flat screen tv, bar area, and a great area for entertaining. Also on the 14th floor is "The Scene" which includes a tanning area and plunge pools - I can't wait for summer. This place is a no brainer if you are moving to Ballson. Love it! read more

After living in a few apartment buildings in the DC area, The View has been by far the best in terms of apartment quality, value, and community. The staff is extremely friendly and they host a lot of great events (Halloween Party, Dog Events, Trivia, Wine Nights, etc.). The rooftop has a great panoramic of DC with two pools. There is a lot of room and you can almost always find a chair. The apartments are competitively priced, spacious, modern, and have floor to ceiling windows which make them feel much bigger. read more

The management staff (Cory and Ciara) really care about their tenants and their needs. So happy I live in such a great community! After doing my fair share of research of apartments in the Ballston area, the View at Liberty is hands down the best choice. I've lived here for a few months now after having lived in multiple apartment complexes in Ballston and have had a great experience so far. Move in: I toured the View and immediately knew I wanted to live there. The leasing office was extremely flexible and accommodating when scheduling my tour and even let me come back a few times after signing my lease but before my move in date to measure and take pictures of my unit which was super helpful. They are also available on the weekends which was key for me. The View offers many floor plan styles and as soon as you step foot in one of the units you are going to realize why this building is one of the top in Ballston. From the hardwood floor, top of the line appliances, cabinets, modern fixtures, and overall high quality it really sets itself apart from the other buildings in the area that are in desperate need of a makeover. The move in process could not have gone any smoother. The loading dock and elevators were ready when I had them scheduled and my apartment was spotless when I unlocked the door for the first time. There was a handwritten note and bottle of wine waiting for me upon entering my apartment on move in day. What other building in Ballston does that? NONE, believe me I've lived here for 5 years. That is what you will expect living in this building, everything is done to perfection. Amenities: The gym at the View is awesome. There is so much more than just treadmills like most apartment gyms. They have a ton of equipment and the gym is never crowded. The View has two dip pools on the roof, cornhole, fire pits, and a gorgeous club room. On the bottom floor is there another firepit and awesome grilling area. The building also puts on many events. Last week they hosted a free sunset barre class and had champagne for us after. It is these type of events that make living at the View so nice. They really try to host events that the residents actually want to go to. The front desk is AMAZING. Hands down the friendliest front desk crew I've ever encountered. They really take the time to get to know the residents and are on top of packages and are just super friendly which makes a huge difference. Other than needing to be a rocket scientist to work the grille and the fee to rent the clubroom this building is exceptional. Yes, the rent is high but for what you are getting it is 100% worth it. With all of the new improvements to Ballston this area is going to blow up in the next year or two and what better way to take advantage of it than living right in the middle of Ballston in the nicest building in the area? If you are concerned about the noise from the construction, believe me there isn't any. My balcony faces all of the construction on the mall and I don't hear a thing. read more

Here's the deal. These are loft style apartments. If you enjoy huge windows with spectacular views and sun pouring into your apartment, high ceilings with exposed architecture, modern high end minimalist appliances and clean lines throughout, you should consider the view. If you value an incredible staff of friendly caring people who enjoy sincerely engaging you and making you feel at home, you should consider the view. If you enjoy access to a state of the art gym and year round roof top hot tubs, fire pit and no lifeguards or frat parties, you should consider the view. Okay, so yeah. The 500 dollar amenity fee is a real thing, but it's the owners of the building who want it charged. So Bozzuto = good. Glad to know that. Doesn't change the blech of the 500 bucks, but it helps me feel better about management. read more

Pros: The staff are great... from the leasing office, to the concierge, even the maintenance staff are super friendly! They're also super thoughtful / detail oriented (e.g. bottle of wine waiting for me on move-in day, card delivered to my apartment from the staff on my birthday). The building is practically brand new (around a year old?), so everything is in excellent condition. The apartments themselves are stunning. Also, management periodically hosts resident appreciation days (e.g. recently had a complimentary mimosas and waffles brunch) -- awesomeness. Also, super pet friendly. Cons: The exit garage door frequently breaks (at least as of late), so you have to exercise caution using the entry door for arrivals and departures. And, while the gym is well-equipped, the windows face outside to a walkway that a local restaurant uses to ferry food from a prep room to the restaurant, which can be torturous when you're on the treadmill. Overall: Fantastic place to live. Great staff. Friendly residents. Good location. Highly recommend. read more

I have lived here for over eight months and my experience has been very positive. I moved from Seattle for a new job in DC and coordinating an apartment was just one of the many stressful activities on my mind. The leasing office was prompt in replying to questions and made the process as painless as possible. I took a bit of a gamble, as I did not fly out to do a walk through prior to signing my lease. My decision was based entirely on online research and my interactions over the phone / email with the various leasing offices. I have no regrets about the decision I made. Ultimately, it came down to several key criteria. I'll break down my review of The View by each criterion: Location: Ballston is, if nothing else, very safe. I would not call it the most exciting neighborhood - though it does offer a taste of urban living. If you don't want to deal with some of the concerns that come with living in the heart of a major city, but also aren't ready to move into the burbs, the so-called Orange Line Corridor is likely a good fit. In terms of the buildings location within the neighborhood, it is an easy five minute walk to Harris Teeter (grocery store). It is on the same block as a handful of restaurants and an Enterprise Rent-a-Car. Across the street is a coffee shop, a sports bar, and a salad bar. I use the metro every day to get to work - it takes under 10 minutes to walk to the Ballston station. Walking to the bars / restaurants in Clarendon is about 20 - 25 minutes. All in all, the building is in a very convenient location. I did not bring my car with me when I moved, and I have managed just fine without it through walking / public transit / occasional car rentals. Finishes and Amenities: The View is second to none in this category. Quartz countertops, stylish laminate floors, new appliances, Nest climate control system, etc. It's a safe bet that this is among the nicer buildings in the Clarendon/Virginia Square/Ballston area, and I feel very confident saying it is THE premium residence in Ballston. There is a rooftop deck, adjoined to a community lounge on the 14th floor. A fitness center on the first floor is also available. This building does not disappoint. Property Management / Building Staff: Kettler has exceeded my expectations. Their staff are polite, prompt, and professional. Though I have yet to submit any tickets for repairs (a testament itself to the quality of the building), the interactions I have had with the leasing office and building staff have all been pleasant. They typically coordinate at least one community event per month. Noise: This is of particular concern to me - as I am a music collector and bit of an audiophile. Moving here from Seattle, I knew I would have to transition more to headphone listening - which has not been a problem. But I still wanted to have a main rig, albeit a slightly downsized rig, with a turntable, digital player, and some smaller stand mounted speakers. The View, with it's concrete floors and insulated double-drywall, proved to be the perfect apartment building to accommodate my hobby. In over eight months, I have yet to receive a complaint about my music. Now, one has to use common sense - I don't play music before 11:00 AM or after 9:00 PM. And while I prefer a slightly elevated level of listening, I generally don't blast the speakers to full-blown house party levels. That being said, I added to my system a downward firing subwoofer that I use on a top of noise isolation platter - and still there have been no complaints. This level of sound-deadening in the building is a two-way street. On several instances my neighbors have had parties - I know because I could hear them clearly when passing by their unit in the hallway. However, once I am in my apartment, the noise is either entirely gone or is minimal. Now - if you are moving from rural Iowa and you are used to complete silence minus the crickets at night - you might be disturbed. But any reasonable person who has lived in the city and experienced apartment living would be very pleased with the noise levels in this building. Rent: The rent is high in this building compared to some of the surrounding buildings - but it is commensurate with what you get. Indeed, this is one of the newest buildings in the Ballston area. To compare it directly to some of the older buildings would be an apples to oranges comparison. A fairer comparison is to some of the other higher-end / new buildings in Clarendon and Courthouse. Under that analysis, The View's prices are right in line with market rates. Overall, I am very pleased with The View as my home. If you are interested in living in this part of Arlington, you owe it to yourself to schedule a viewing (no pun intended) and consider this building as a candidate for your new home. read more

I've lived at The View for 2 years and absolutely LOVED it. They've made everything so easy from a renter's point of view. Any time maintenance is called, they come that same day and the problem is fixed the first time (no big issues, just light bulb replacements, etc). The front desk staff is phenomenal - I've never had one package that was missing, and I always end up staying to chat for a bit every time I pick mine up. The leasing office is super nice and helpful, and plan the best resident events (monthly wine club night, outdoor BBQ events, poolside gelato parties, etc). Unfortunately I have to move soon for other reasons, but I will be so so sad to leave it here. This building really is an amazing place to live. MOVE HERE!! read more

The View is a great apartment building with lots of amenities. It's modern and the staff is wonderful! 24 hour concierge is nice to have and they always take great care of you from dry cleaning to packages etc. The VIEW from the rooftop is one of the best in all of Arlington. You can see all the way into DC and the two heated soaking pools on the roof are awesome. Club room and gym are nice too. As for the apartments everything is stainless steel, well lit, and modern. They spared on expense on the quality of doors, fixtures, closets and more. Overall an excellent living experience right in the heart of Ballston. Also great restaurants like Kapnos, Pepita, and YONA in the building make it easy to grab dinner or a cocktail after work. read more

This building is stunning. The view from the rooftop, year-round hot tubs includes everything from the National Cathedral, to the Capitol, and all the way to National Harbor. The appliances are high-end and modern, the building is well constructed and quiet, and the neighbors are pleasant. This is also a very dog friendly community, with a big park across the street. While construction still begins early at 7am, it is much more bearable because they completed the exterior a few months ago. There was also a change in management from Kettler to Bozzuto. As a current resident, the apartment itself is great however the construction next door is awful. Unless you naturally enjoy waking up on a Saturday at 7:30am to the sound of hammers and random banging noises, this is not the place for you. The complex itself is clean, well maintained and was recently taken over by Bozzuto. If you are looking to live here, my recommendation would be to live on the side away from the construction. Relocated to The View at Liberty Center from Crystal City due to repetitive car vandalisms sweeping the Crystal City area. My wish list was a secured garage with security cameras and modern amenities. The View has secured access, 24 hour concierge and great maintenance staff. Like Crystal City, Rosslyn is diverse with all sorts of entertainment and dining. Excited that I didn't lose options for outdoor activities in this area. I find myself walking to everything due to ease of convenience. There are several restaurants adjacent to the building, grocers, nutrition centers, salons and spas. I'm certainly saving on gas expenses since I've moved here. I really enjoy the apartment's "Scene" rooftoop with great views of Washington, DC skyline and heated Jacuzzis. The building has a great fitness center and cafe computer lounge. The building's culture is hip and vibrant, but it is quiet with no disturbing neighbors. Everyone is pleasant here. The building is always hosting great events for tenants such as 4th of July party; surprise Sunday brunch; and National Blueberry Day with muffins on a recent Saturday. You'll never get bored here, that's for darn sure. read more

So let us begin my journey... The moment my girlfriend and I got here, the woman at the front desk was not doing her job correctly. I asked her where my girlfriend can find parking and she seemed to have no clue. After many attempts, we finally found parking with no help from the woman in the front desk. She is the one who works the late evening shifts and is definitely not fit for the job. (The one who works during the day is so much more nicer and welcoming). But if you need help in the evenings then you're in for a treat because it's a struggle to ask her any questions. She herself has no clue about anything! I can literary see my package behind the front desk and I said, "I have a package for room ***, can you please give it to me?" And she said, "There is no package for this room." Yeah right. I had to point it out and then she has an AHA moment. What was she thinking? Maybe she was too busy using her Fit-Bit in one hand and an Apple Watch in the other. She must be getting paid really nice to do what she does! Next we checked into the apartment. Boy it was dirty. Note that our apartment was fully furnished because we were on temporary corporate housing. The cabinets were sticky and the dishes and kitchen utensils looked sticky and used. The kitchen cabinets were so greasy. We knew we had to start the dishwasher right away. But heres the funny part, the bathroom is humongous. Okay, I can literally fit a blow-up king size mattress in there. One can have a restroom party and invite all their folks over. It's so big and so unnecessary. Poor use of space. When we entered the room we realized that the space was tight. Like really small. Now you must be thinking who on Earth designed this apartment? Because the team who did has no clue about what design really is. Even a first grader has the common sense about what parts of the house should be big or small enough to live in. For the size of the apartments in this building, I'm sure if they had the right architects they could make these spaces seem luxurious yet minimalistic. But the team who designed these apartments drained all their energy into making the bathroom so big that they forgot about the rest of the apartment. There is barely any room to walk towards the closet in the room which is in fact quite small (especially if you have a girlfriend or you are a girl). There is literarily a narrow gap between the bed and the TV table to walk through (yes, it was furnished for us). We struggled with our heavy luggage and we had to carry it over our shoulders to get it to the other side of the bed to where the closet is located. It was an excruciating experience! Worst of all the bedroom has no doors. I was surprised as to why we were given this apartment. At first I thought that corporate housing purposely gave us a unit that had some flaws, but after relating to a few people who lived in the building for years I realized that it was not just our unit. Every unit in the building is the same. (What's hilarious is that they used more space in the bathroom and living room area and this compromises your room space. You will have trouble installing a TV. You will have trouble fitting your clothes in your tiny closet. And you will have no privacy if there is more than 2 of you living in the apartment, BECAUSE THERE IS NO ROOM DOOR. ) There are a few plug-in ports to charge your equipment but trust me they are all set in the wrong locations. The overall feel creates a terrible user-experience. The only one good thing about the apartment is the Nest heating/cooling system and the washer(even the dryer fails to drying your clothes completely). So at the end of the day who should live in this apartment? Living here definitely has its pros if you can afford it. For starters, you can walk to the metro which is not too far away. What's better is that you can feel like a rich person and live in your extra luxurious bathroom. You do not even need to enter your room because that poor thing has no door attached to it. Just live in the bathroom. Set up a floor mattress right next to the toilet. That way if you had a heavy night of drinking worry no more, the toilet is now your new best friend. And one more thing of course. As previously stated the dryer decides to stop working and fails to dry your wet clothes. But who needs a dryer in apartment when you can use all the extra space in the bathroom to let your clothes dry themselves? Fantastic use of space I'd say! read more

The View at Liberty Center is an awesome building to consider home. They just opened and everything is brand new. The entire management team as well as concierge go above and beyond to meet and exceed your expectations. The level of service is beyond amazing and everyone is attentive. Noise levels are slim to none- you hardly hear anything or anyone. That's how great it is! My neighbor has a baby and I hardly ever hear the baby crying or doors opening/closing. This is the place to live when moving to Ballston. I'm so happy to consider The View at Liberty Center my home. This place is the best! the location, the plunge pools, the neighbors, but the people working there are the best part of living there. I was one of the first people to move into this apartment building and yes, there were a couple of things that just could not be helped due to construction but now that the building is finished you should have NO reservations about living here. EVERYTHING you might need is about a block away and I'm serious! I randomly needed some acupuncture and guess what, there was an amazing place LITERALLY across the street. it seems like everything you need is here, might as well sell your car! the Morning sunrises over DC NEVER get old and the sunsets are just as amazing. I will never forget living her as it was a privilege to have the view that we have, really a million dollar view of the DC skyline. read more

These luxury apartments are so beautiful. I just moved in about two weeks ago and I feel so comfortable and cozy living here. Great view. Easy accessible living arrangements. For example, malls,metro station, eaterys, gym. Service in the apartment complex is wonderful. The environment around the complex is also very safe and homie. I moved in a week ago and have never experienced so much frustration. Staff is inexperienced, it is a construction zone inside and out and they blame the client if you are upset. Very noisy, disorganized, cheap with construction. Dryers don't dry, air conditioning broken, very slow to fulfill requests. I have lived all over the country and rented every where including brand new buildings and never experienced anything like this. The building is not really ready for occupancy. M boyfriend and I moved to The View at Liberty Center about two months ago and love it here. We moved from another state and the whole process of getting an apartment here was very easy and we fell in love the second we saw our unit. The day that we moved in we had a problem with our locks, but Stacey, Derek, and Donnie went above and beyond and helped us move in our belongings. We cannot say enough nice things about the office staff here and the property in general. They are always so sweet and ready to help in any way possible. You'll notice that no one has posted a review since last year. Since then, none of the promise of the View has come to fruition. The gym is tiny with very limited free weights and practically no room to use them anyway. The plunge pools on the roof deck are a joke. What I wouldn't give on a 90 degree day for a real pool, especially since there is no shade on the terrace to get out of the sun. The concierge staff is like a revolving door. A new face every week. And very understaffed. I've missed deliveries because no one is there to receive them. One women doesn't even look up when I come in. The building staff is very friendly and was great at move in, but since then, has not been helpful or accommodating. They don't seem to want to take responsibility for anything. The apartments are very nice. Big and bright, but once you move in, you notice the quality of life things: no cabinet space, no island, no backsplash, very poor stove venting, so almost impossible to cook without setting off the smoke alarm, the dryer takes forever to dry and the dishwasher doesn't clean very well. The sinks are tiny and there is not very good water pressure. The hallways are a mess from move ins, and they take forever to fix them up. There is only one barbecue located on a ground floor deck that is almost useless, is not secure, and shares a garbage area with the restaurant downstairs. You can't beat the convenience and the neighborhood, and it is the only new building on Wilson Blvd. So you will be tempted. Just go into the experience with your eyes wide open read more
