This business has an advertisement in the local Bargain Buyer and they feature a girl and boy name every week and if it's your name you get a free pedicure or hair cut for that week. So, I was elated that my name was in the paper one week. I called and scheduled an appointment for a hair cut and the woman who answered was super nice on the phone. The drive was further than I had thought but it wasn't terrible. The business was located off the main road in the far back; I probably would have drove right by it if I didn't have my GPS on. So if you are going, pull into the Harmony post office and it's the building to the right. I had my reservations because it was little a hole in a wall place. I walked in and there were a lot of older women getting their hair done and the inside was cluttered and a bit dark (as in no natural lighting). My stylist was really nice. She rinsed my hair, and cut it to my specifications. I wanted something much shorter and different and she listened to me exactly. She didn't make a whole lot of chit chat with me, but that was okay. She blow dried my hair and I was done! Free hair cut with the blow dry included (other places I've went to charged for that, crazy!) I still gave her a tip though, because she did a great job and I didn't have to pay anything for the hair cut, it didn't seem natural! Also, she never formally asked me for ID proving my name, but I guess people wouldn't take advantage of the offer.. or maybe I just have a trusting face? Regardless, it was a great experience and I will more than likely go back. The only thing that may hold me back is the drive, but other than that it was a great business! read more

As a guy I keep my hair at a medium length compared to most other guys, my hair typically comes to right above my eyebrows. I tried various barbers/hairdressers who translated "keep it long" to "buzz cut" and then I tried Loreen's....and I haven't gone to another hairdresser since. I've been going to Loreen's for at least 6 or 7 years now and it's just as good as when I first started. She listens to what I want and doesn't cut it too short. And it's quick and cheap, 10 bucks for a men's haircut that takes maybe 15 minutes. It is easy to miss if you don't know what you're looking for but the people there are very friendly and nice and it's never crowded. They're even open during snow storms! I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a new hairdresser. read more
