On reflection, the lack of a crowd on a busy Saturday should have been a clue. Don't bother ordering a cocktail here. The alleged pina colada was bland and watery, with plenty of unblended ice remaining in the bottom of the glass. (This latter was a mixed curse; had they succeeded in blending it fully, it is doubtful that even the faintest trace of the presumably-artificial coconut flavouring would have remained.) Wireless is free and surprisingly fast (12Mbps download, 768kbps upload), but disappointingly unreliable; if you don't know how to bypass a DHCP server by sniffing network traffic and then manually configuring an IP address, then don't expect it to work for you. There is no sign of available power. Despite the "free wireless" advertised in the windows, this really isn't set up to be somewhere you can work comfortably, which leaves me wondering why it stays open all afternoon.

The decor is fresh and quaint, and the color scheme is bright and cheerful. The menu is lovely for a full breakfast, tea service, or nibbles . I had a blueberry matcha latte and a pea and edamame mash on toast. The matcha itself was not very high quality, but the blueberry, which was more of a thick compote texture than a syrup (yum!) was delicious when combined. The pea and edamame mash was delicious, the salsa was fresh and the poached egg was the perfect jammy texture. The latte was delicious, I added one pump of vanilla syrup. I was a bit hungry afterwards and treated myself to the raspberry pistachio loaf which was delicious. The sponge itself was well flavored, the bottom being soaked in a jammy raspberry. The frosting was not too sweet, and the crumbled pistachios on top were a great texture addition. The service was simple and lovely, you can order by waiter or by QR code.
