This has been our Go-To place since the CO-19 lockdown and not once have we been disappointed. Their prices are good. Great po-boys and the day specials are terrific (large portions and usually around $8, with a slice of pie to boot)! The deli lady and staff are fabulous and friendly as well. In an experience that mimics my previous review, but this time with the eye rolling Dymond S. who would not utter a word to me despite my attempt at pleasantries - yet she would stop the transaction to say hello and see how someone (who was obviously a friend) was doing whilst the friend was walking out the door. Then immediately back to ignoring me. She then proceeded to throw my Veuve Clicquot into the same bag as the Tiger Sauce - with nothing but a small paper bag to contain the shards should they have busted against one another. And then without a word or even eye contact, held my receipt out for me to take. What is wrong with this location that their cashiers can't just be decent human beings and employ basic kindness to customers? We're not asking for a parade or to be fawned over, a simple response to a kind hello would suffice. But you choose to be nasty, without provocation, and I just cannot understand why.

It is Sunday 7/12/2026, I purchase, this morning, breakfast from Piggly Wiggly and there was egg…read moreshell pieces and black carbon from the pot/grill used to cook the scrambled eggs. The cheese grits was not cheesy and both it and regular grits were visibly undercooked. There also was no butter for the grits or biscuits available. The manager was told but visibly seemed annoyed when the young clerk in the kitchen inquired regarding the butter. The smirk paid to her and me set me back. I purchased the breakfast anyway. Upon my second bite of the grits and eggs I crunched on a significant piece of egg shell. Okay, I took another bite and bit into another piece. As I am filling out this review I am still spitting out pieces of the egg shell. I hated to take the breakfast back but at the price I paid for it I feel my money could be spent cheaper somewhere else. I love Piggly Wiggly but I will not pay for slop. I know they can do better because I have bought their breakfast many times before and have not had any issues with the quality. Portions can sometimes be lacking but not an issue for me. My main concern is cleanliness and quality of the food I purchase. Management attention to care and training of its new employees in the kitchen would be a plus. To act indifferent to the employee and the customer is not an acceptable business practice.
