    2filets $20. 1 strip $13

Well, I usually enjoy shopping here because it's a pretty good store but today I was in sticker shock when I noticed the prime ribeye was costing $25 a pound. At the same time a prime strip steak was only $15 a pound now that makes no sense whatsoever, so what I did was I bought the prime strip and two small fillets for the same price as one prime ribeye go figure

We miss our LA grocery stores!!

This is a great local grocery store with a plethora of cheese and wine choices! There are also lots of local items with Italian flare! If you are not from Louisiana and just in town for vacation or passing through you should stop and visit! Pick up items for an amazing Charcuterie board and eat a nice picnic at the river or lake! We will be back next time we're in town!

Probably the best grocery store in Covington. Fair prices, friendly service and locally owned. They have a fantastic selection of gourmet cheese and an extensive liquor section. The deli has tempting aromas of baking bread to go with all of that delicious cheese. I also noticed lots of locally grown produce which I love supporting. There are many local brands, but lots of local brands that you'd expect from a chain store (if that's your preference). But did I mention the selection of cheese? (I may or may not have left with several blocks of dill havarti...my weakness). If you're in the area be sure to check out this local gem!

This place is amazing. The wine/beer/liquor selection may be the best on the Northshore. It seems as if they have more selection than even Martin Wine Cellar. The rear of the booze area has a wall of refrigerated coolers. In these coolers are beers you can purchase by the six pack, case or individually. They have nearly every beer I have ever tried or wanted to try. Even with all this selection, I stayed local and got a six pack of Mardi Gras Bock by Abita. The liquor selection was equally amazing. There must have been 30 or more high end single malt scotch brands. In a locked case there was even a $1500 bottle of Cognac. There were several hundred, if not over 1000 different brands of wine. If you need some adult beverages, come here. You will not be disappointed. The grocery store part is smaller than the bigger chains, but it was well stocked with specialty items. The meat area had homemade sausage, whole filets and ribeyes as well as all regular meat items. We also tried their cookies and a king cake. Both were excellent. It looks like the deli makes Po-Boys, but I haven't tried them yet. I highly recommend Acquistapace.

Very cute grocery store. The lines are never long (at least when I visit) I've always been able to go in and out fairly quickly.

The best grocery store for meats and wine that I have ever been to. I love the atmosphere and intimate feeling you get.

They have cheese great cheese grits and many other tasty sides. Soups, quiche, along with chicken salad and pimento cheese are available too, My top pick is the chicken parm. There's is unique because they don't use the breading. That may sound unusual but it's yummy and cuts way back on the carbs. Most items come in 2 different sizes. One more family size and one more fit 1-2 people. You can also buy a lot of items either fresh or frozen. I do think it's important to note that items are not cheap, if you think of it as creating a meal and figure up how many people you feed, it's not much more than you would spend buying something out that's probably not that good. The owner's son is usually there when we drop by and he usually always helpful and nice! The shop is small but full of their homemade dishes as well as a nice variety of local products from artisans. I really appreciate that they support other locals! Drop in and buy something to try. You may decide the quality and convenience is worth the little extra cost!

Nearly everything I've had here has been fantastic (special shout out to the macaroni and cheese…read moreand mushroom dijon quiche)! There are plenty of vegetarian options which is a definite plus and it's not your generic fare. Creative recipes make me so happy and there is plenty to try here. Yes, Tessier is pricey, but I've found you do get quality ingredients. One long pull of melted cheese after you take the macaroni out of the oven shows you the love they put into hand-grating for maximum melt-age. You've just got to watch out and ask about pricing on some things because at times it's not clearly labeled. Stick to the fridges and freezers where the prices are really obvious! The one issue I've had with Tessier is actually related to our first visit. Hubs wanted to grab a bag of croutons to go with his tomato soup. We were informed that the croutons would be discounted because some had been left in the oven for far too long and were very dark. The words used were pretty much "we can't in good conscience sell these for full price." Hey, why not? Discount! He's not too picky. Except after leaving and checking my text receipt (you don't get to see the things being rung up as it's happening) we saw that first of all, the little bag of croutons was a ridiculous FIVE DOLLARS, and our discount on what ended up being half a bag that went to the birds was around forty cents.
