The staff is kind. The atmosphere is small town. And the food is a solid 9. but those steaks are ON POINT.

Quick, cheap, ice cold sweet treat that isn't as heavy as ice cream. It's $1.50 for the smallest…read moresnowball cup size. Free parking in the gravel lot right at the front of the storefront. The lady working was really nice and answered all my questions about the funky named flavors. She even let me sample a couple. I got the pink squirrel- one of their cream flavors which is a mix of nectar and strawberry(?). It was a perfectly cold sweet treat. I'm still not too sure what nectar is but I agree, this cream flavor was good.

It's pretty simple: New Orleans can be warm and muggy for about half of the year, so a nice…read morerefreshing treat is always appropriate. When you mix in that it is a timeless destination in Metairie, then it makes it all the more special. Sal's is quick, has a taste for just about any palate, and is super affordable. While the lines might look long, they go quickly and everybody's happy. So don't let the crowd be daunting to you and saunter up to the order window. Sizes from the very smallest to the very largest never run you more than a few bucks and the flavor combinations are endless. Service friendly and the atmosphere is joyful, so find a stump to have a seat and just enjoy. This is a place that is very special to my wife, who grew up just down the street, and who has spent many, many summer nights here. I was lucky enough to have her share Sal's with me and one sno-ball later, I was very happy. P.S. I still call them snow cones. Fight me.

Celebrated my birthday at Thirty-Two! A friend recommended…read more32 and we didn't hesitate. We did make reservations before we went. The restaurant itself is really beautiful, very lux looking. Thos hostess was friendly, greeted us as we walked in and made us feel like she was excited about our arrival. We were seated by the window and she placed a birthday sign by the window, which added an extra special touch. Our server was Jessica and she had an attendant assisting her, darn it I don't remember his name, but they both were great. Very professional, yet friendly. We had the crab cakes as an appetizer. Very flavorful and I appreciated it wasn't full of filling. They also gave us chicken salad on a spoon. I believe it was chicken salad. He said to start the palate. I ordered the lamb, my husband ordered the steak and lobster. He wasn't aware it was a small fried lobster, but he enjoyed it. It was a big piece of steak, 14oz, so he had to take the rest home. It came with a sauce that he really enjoyed. The lamb was melt in your mouth, tasty and savory. Seasoned just right! We also had the Brussel Sprouts which were really delicious. I asked for a mocktail, but it wasn't really something that wowed me because I look for creativity and it was just plain. Taste good, but plain, especially the presentation. I was given dessert for my birthday, creme brulee, which Jessica torched right at the table and I must say, it was also delish. The menus were impressive also. Wait! The bread basket was grand with the different types of bread, fried cheese and garlic bulb. I really enjoyed the pretzel bread the best. The restroom was clean and they have these napkins that feel like cloth, felt dignified

I've eaten here before and the food and service were excellent. This trip maybe I got all the wrong…read morestuff. The bread basket was super. Loved the roasted garlic and the cheese crisps. Hated the octopus. Hated both sausages paired with it. The olives had no flavor and the octopus absorbed the off-putting flavor of the crumbled sausage. Hard pass! The amuse bouche failed to amuse. Dish did not go together. Mascarpone and smoked sausage and onions and cornbread. Giant miss. The salad was nice but not as good as the one they used to have. The lobster bisque was among the worst I've ever had. It was palatable but off color and flavor. Walmarts is better. Sorry chef. Gotta kick it up several notches.
