I had a great experience with Marburger Mobile Mechanic Service. I found him through Yelp and…read moredecided to give him a try--he did not disappoint. He arrived fully equipped with diagnostic tools, quickly identified the issue, and clearly explained what was going on with my car in a way that was easy to understand. He handled the repair efficiently, sourced the necessary parts, and ensured everything was fixed properly. I also appreciated that he took the time to answer additional questions about other concerns I had, helping me prioritize what needed immediate attention versus what could wait. He was honest about what was outside of his scope, which I found very professional. Devin was polite, kind, and extremely patient, even taking the time to show me exactly what was happening with my vehicle. His pricing was fair and aligned with the research I had done beforehand on labor and parts. If you need a reliable mobile mechanic and can't make it to a shop, I highly recommend his services.

DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM…read more He initially told me that one bottle of coolant and the part we supplied were all he needed. Once the process started, he called me down from my house and told me I would need to pay for another bottle of coolant just to test whether his work was complete. That was odd because we had already supplied him with a full bottle. We refused, but he still went to the store. While he was at the register, he called us and told us the total, as if we hadn't already declined to send him to the store. After he claimed he was finished, he knocked on my door and told me he had locked his keys in his car and had left his equipment in MY CAR. He then asked if he could wait inside my house while his wife drove 30 minutes to bring him another set of keys. At that point, my house was not in the right condition for someone to be waiting inside, so this was extremely uncomfortable and honestly a huge inconvenience. Once his wife finally arrived, he came back and said that he felt he wasn't paid enough for the job he had done. At that point, I was already extremely uncomfortable and frustrated with the entire situation. Then, to make matters worse, I started finding loose bolts in the corner of my car that were supposed to be on the water pump. When I asked him about the bolts, he said he had purchased new ones because he didn't have enough of the correct bolts to finish the job. However, after he went to the store--which we never agreed to send him to--he came back claiming that he had the correct amount of bolts all along. What really pissed me off was that he left my car jacked up IN HOUSTON, OF ALL PLACES, with the engine exposed. AND NOW, LESS THAN TWO MONTHS LATER, THE WATER PUMP IS STILL LEAKING COOLANT. The exact issue we paid to have repaired has not been resolved. With all the confusion throughout this entire process, I honestly don't understand how we could be accused of shorting him when the original agreement was completely different. It's WAY too hot in Texas for people to be spending their hard-earned money and still not have the problem resolved. I paid for a service, and I expect the work to be completed correctly and my vehicle to be left in the condition it was supposed to be in. It hasn't even been a full two months since he last worked on my car, and we are STILL dealing with a leaking water pump.

However Dane, the owner, was willing to take a chance on the Juke and it all turned out great. We ran into some issues early on with UpRev (tuning software) and Brad (shop manager) was very transparent and responsive with the communication. Once that got settled, we ran into another hurdle with inclement weather. Due to heavy rain and flooded roads my car sucked in enough water to end it for good, however through some patience and tedious work Dane and his techs were able to revive the car and get it ready for tuning. He was able to bring so much out of the car and despite there being a little bit more room to revise and adjust, the car is amazing compared to before. All in all a great shop, known for their work on the Z chassis cars, and despite it being one of the few they've worked on, they took care of the Juke like clockwork. Big thanks to Dane, Brad and all of the techs! They're all very friendly and transparent with their work!

When the part finally arrived, they resent the estimate -- now $853 -- without warning. I was told, by Dane, labor "wasn't included" (it was), then told they "forgot a part and was quoted incorrectly." This is blatant dishonesty. No communication, shifting excuses, and clear attempts to exploit my need for AC in Texas heat. Even if they honored the original price, I wouldn't trust the quality of work. If you value transparency and integrity, go elsewhere.

I came in and asked for my signal light to be replaced as well as my oil and filter changed. I was told it would be ready the next day since I came in around lunch time. I brought the supplies required but I brought the wrong bulb so they used their own which is fine. I just don't know in what world it is okay to charge 79$ for a signal light replacement EVEN IF they used their own light. I bought the wrong one but they're not selling bulbs for more than 10$ at the auto store. As for the oil and oil filter I do understand I have a diesel so I'm always charged more but 99$ feels like a lot especially since I brought my own things. Everyone I told about these prices said they said it was overpriced. I don't really know much about cars or what things cost in this area which is why I was asking all my friends but I'm not coming back because I feel like it was pretty pricey and this was with a 20$ discount from the mailer.. I'm kinda disappointed because I really wanted to support a small business but never mind. They did get the work done and were very nice so this is why I gave 4 stars. Pricing is really personal so I'm just sharing my experience so you can make decisions best for yourself!

Came here for a wheel alignment, on a referral by Jim from Hare Repair…read more It's a little hard to find, as the shop is sandwiched between a strip of land at the Chimney Rock intersection where the Hwy 59 feeder road and Westpark Rd run parallel. They're the shop with the blue roof that's right next to the Mobil gas station on that intersection. My GPS told me to enter from the feeder road, but you actually need to turn into Chimney Rock and then come in by turning right onto Westpark Rd. There's hardly any parking either (like 3 spots or so)...BLEH. It was a Saturday morning and they were decently busy, but there wasn't a wait. The wheel alignment took only 45 minutes (I l had told them not to hurry since I had a ride and had gone to lunch, so they can probably do it faster if you had to stay and wait) and was only $45 (most can run from $50 to $99) so it was a pretty good deal. The alignment also comes with a 6000-mile warranty in case your car explodes after leaving the lot. A good recommendation from the guys at Hare Repair (it's also a good idea to mention that they're your mechanic since they know each other and will probably do better work, hehe). I'll definitely bring my car back here next time it needs tire work.
