The tree was quickly removed but it was a 3 star maybe 3.5 star experience because of the additional work needed to coordinate everything. The good: - competitive quote and they were able to come by quickly to assess the work - flexible in bringing equipment that worked with tight openings - main tree removal was done in 5 hours - removed paver stones so they wouldn't be damaged by machinery - friendly and professional. They accommodated a special request to cut a section for a table The bad: - rescheduling was a huge pain. We had to go back and forth for 3 weeks and I had to proactively follow up to confirm if they were coming - unable to grind the stump as part of the initial quote so had to pay another $400 for them to come back with a different machine - never got an invoice despite asking for one multiple times To summarize, this seems to be a nice family business that has experience removing trees quickly. However, it doesn't appear there is a back office that keeps everything organized so you're going to have to do a lot of work to stay on top of things.

He uses vague language as to what exactly the scope of his work will cover. I tried multiple times, but failed to get him to spell out whether his price included what I had asked him to do. He throws in a "base price" at you for "what HE wants to do" but not what YOU asked him to do; then he wants to charge you extra for this and extra for that. Don't waste your time. Tree service companies are dime a dozen and there's no need to deal with unethical people.

The stump removal, stump grinding and cleanup left the site immaculate, with careful attention not to damage nearby trees and lawn. Last week a fifty foot poplar uprooted from the saturated ground and windstorm, falling in my backyard garden on dogwood and crabapple trees. You expertly removed the fallen tree without damaging the trees it had fallen into. The stump removal, repair of the stump hole, and care of my lawn and garden was tremendous. Today, you removed a fifty foot white birch that was leaning dangerously on my side fence. The expert roping of the tree to fall opposite the adjacent fence was testament to your engineering skills. About 20 full sheets of plywood were laid down end to end to form a wooden road for your bobcat, so as not to damage my rain soaked lawn. I appreciate the skill and efficiency of these hard workers, and their attention to detail. I believe the cost of these projects was very reasonable considering not just the hard workers and expertise, but also use of your bobcat, cherry picker truck, massive wood chipper, dump truck, and assortment of chainsaws and pruning tools.
