You know how you wish you could find the ideal, affordable painter that will do a fabulous job? Then look no further than Martin of J & E Painting! I called three days before Christmas for an estimate with the expectation of having the exterior of the home painted but completed on my next visit to Texas. Christmas was just days away but it so needed to be sooner than later since the property is up for sale. It was easy to schedule an appointment and Martin was extremely professional, punctual and listened to my concerns, issues and went above and beyond to accomadate my time frame. I was trying to get home for Christmas and Martin surprised me and took on the job two days before Christmas. I never expected him to sacrifice his Christmas Holiday with his family to help me get home (to Indiana) but he did. I was so grateful to him! I had picked out the paint color, showed him the color sample and he picked up. First he power washed the exterior then filled all the small nail holes and problem areas. This took literally 8 hours and I was blown away at how thorough he was. I was so impressed with the pride shown in his work. The following day, Christmas Eve, he arrived with another man, to begin the painting. Everything was safely taped off, and he was so kind when I expressed my concern for leaving the deck the old color. He agreed to painting the deck the new color and proceeded to tape this area off for painting. It did impact the negotiated price but it was a fair price for the large area. He completed the job on Christmas Eve, the worksite was spotless when he left and the home had a beautiful new face lift. His work was impeccable!! The painters I had earlier estimates from had no plans of filling nail holes or repairing noticeable issues. Nor did I feel they cared about the quality of their work. This was not the case here. Do yourself the pleasure and save yourself the heartache by working with a true professional and schedule an estimate for your own painting project. I will definitely use J & E when I have another painting project.

The quotes ranged from being extremely low and ridiculously high. I started to notice a trend/pattern and got a good idea of what my job would cost me, so the next step was picking a company based on what they communicated they could do. I messaged and met with with a few contractors and met Dany in person, he was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. He proposed an idea on how he could do the job and then sent me a digital quote. He was the only contractor that offered to itemize my quote so I could see what each task would cost. His team that worked in my house were very professional and respectful of my home. They worked around my husband working from home and were very accommodating. I am very happy with the work that was completed and will be calling Dany and his team back for other home projects. They started and finished the work within the timeline committed to and cleaned up after the job was finished. He offers fair and reasonable pricing and I appreciated his constant communication on the project's progress. Definitely give Dany Marquez a call, you won't regret it!

I've seen my share of unreliable workers, but this company is in a horrible league of its own. From the start, the staff seemed more interested in searching for cameras than in actually completing any work. When they did get to it, their effort was minimal at best, and they wasted hours on pointless conversations. To make matters worse, the yard was left in disarray, with cigarette butts , drink bottles, cans, and fast food wrappers strewn about. Their time management was a joke--what should have been a simple project dragged on for months. If you want to avoid being constantly frustrated, don't hire these people. The owner is incredibly unprofessional, often arriving late and leaving mid-day or getting into loud, public phone arguments with his mate. Get your camera and popcorn ready. You'll also notice him speaking to someone who isn't there, as though having a conversation with an invisible person. On top of that, he'll constantly ask for more money, even though the job is far from complete, and will " lose" the receipts or any record of work. I regret ever giving them a chance. Save yourself the trouble and hire a company that respects your time and property.
